  1. Oh I would've gone for my cheaper artist option if I knew some of these names would be allowed (was gonna be a remix of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) SuBo *_____*
  2. Day 23 - We've had one part of Genesis, so here's another x YkADj0TPrJA
  3. We need a greater contrast for the lack of underlines to stand out, those other forums have clearer contrast between link text and background colour, I just found it difficult to read (and yeah definitely need less of the text descriptions)
  4. Day 22 - I thought I could be unique and say Jerusalem, but that's a can of worms I don't think we can open in this thread :kink: It'll have to be my hometown and a punk rock classic EfK-WX2pa8c
  5. Me and Dandy ensuring SWV makes the best list :cheeseblock: Went for that, Charly, Temple of Love, Hazard and Return to Innocence. Achy Breaky Heart's iconic, stop the hate x Ugly Kid Joe for worst, bad name, bad song x
  6. Day 21 - Although I picked this, my birthday top 40 isn't actually the most vintage overall, this rave classic is by far my favourite <3 a4eav7dFvc8
  7. Day 20 - Was literally just about to say 19, and that's after 19/2000 already went  Pretty tough now but I'll go with this one, did always amuse me how they have such vivid memories and were apparently 'driving by' when they were 7 and 4 :kink: 6-v1b9waHWY omg this song has been in my head for decades and I never remembered where it came from  classic x
  8. The Blarney Stone :cheeseblock: Heard that on 6Music recently, I was too scared to send it myself, but sending my best from the other semi x Looks a good semi draw for witch house, hope you all enjoy B-) Not available on streaming nor to buy anywhere sadly, but it's a real hidden gem.
  9. Day 19 - Not sure for 'about', I can only think of the Fast Food Song lmao, but this fits not only title-wise, and given the thrown together nature of the sound reflecting that of the dish. CSvFpBOe8eY This was my initial thought, but didn't want to do BJSC entries two days in a row :kink: Great to see it picked though, wonderful story, I love how it progresses with the musical arrangements.
  10. I enjoy The One I Love, not great or anything but there's a sweetness about it x Needs to be Calvin, this is not one of his highlights at all, awful chorus and pretty rough vocals.
  11. Metallica – Nothing Else Matters Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit U2 – One The Orb – Little Fluffy Clouds The Smiths – This Charming Man Argh, Tough week x
  12. Day 18 - Great idea and some great shouts so far (Stairway to Heaven didn't even occur to me ), Several I could go for but I'll choose this strange yet captivating and interpretative tale influenced by Nordic folk, I much prefer it to the song most people would know the act for. mCHUw7ACS8o
  13. Day 17 - Creating quite the contrast here, a former BJSC entry of mine and wonderful musical and visual journey, it shares its name with a 1950s #1 by Cliff Richard (yes, I know it's spelt a little differently, but no one writes like that anymore so shut up x) yuPQ6w_lDc0
  14. I can see him struggling a bit more in the outer areas (including where I am, quite vocal anti-ULEZ/Khan in general here), but that shouldn't cost him it overall. Last time, the government were riding the vaccine boost pre-partygate and actually seemed fairly popular, with how badly they've done in every election recently, I can't see this being any different. I'm undecided myself, Khan is way overhated and I do think he is quite powerless with the government we have, but at the same time, I'd struggle to name a big positive outside of free school meals. I'd take him in a heartbeat over Susan Hall though (Her 'mugging' story is utterly hilarious) if that's the way the wind's blowing.
  15. Fat Families is technically just missing the 2000s, but I feel it certainly is emblematic of the sort of insensitive jeering a lot of shows did to people that clearly needed professional help, the host is just savage (also, please pay no attention to the uploader of this video x) j8Z0EGrkcDI I think the X Factor is the big one, it lasted longer, but it fell dramatically in relevance since 2010. A lot of auditionees in particular were very clearly taken the mick out of without them knowing, it'd raise some serious mental health concerns these days.
  16. Day 16 - Banger and unique subject so far x sy1dYFGkPUE
  17. I'm guessing it'll be their last two number 1s coming up tomorrow, they are pretty weak links in that field, or maybe I'm forgetting something x Within You Without You was one I didn't know previously, and was a really nice discovery with some great Eastern influences from George. Octopus's Garden is iconic as well, made even more wholesome by the fact it was written to help Ringo to escape hostilities going on in the group.
  18. Westlife, utterly pointless note-for-note cover. I will be seriously mad if Still D.R.E. goes early over some of this crap, be warned x
  19. Day 15 - This is such a 2000s classic and it really doesn't feel right that it only peaked at #35 (much better than the two singles that peaked above it), while they've never been chart stars, they're still somewhat relevant today and this took them there. The lyrics have maintained their excellent satire and hard hitting nature over the years. B9dSYgd5Elk
  20. Not the best week in terms of big favourites, but still some pretty good songs up there. Went for Buffalo Stance, You Got It, Eve of the War, Blue Savannah, It Must Have Been Love, Unbelievable and The Whole of the Moon. Michael Bolton comfortably the worst and B.V.S.M.P for being quite stunningly amateur. I'll spare Candy Flip as there was potential for a decent reimagining, but it just doesn't work in practice (primarily as that is a song that's better left alone x)
  21. Day 14 - I have to go with my birth year of 1992, and I think my favourite from there would be this dance classic 7b2T8K2D-ps
  22. I'll also swap Depeche Mode for We Didn't Start the Fire (missed that completely on first glance x)
  23. Ooft I didn't even think of Cash's Hurt! One of my all time favourites  Day 13 - My favourites in this genre are probably closer to Folk, I certainly do appreciate the classics in the genre, I'll go with this one x 1vrEljMfXYo
  24. I quite like Oh Darling, even if not one of the best tracks on Abbey Road. Got a great doo-wop sound, Oblah-Dee Oblah-Dah isn't quite as bad as it's reputation suggests but definitely not an essential from them x
  25. Day 12 - Ooh, you're just asking me to name another classical suite with this :kink: But I've already done that, Autumnsong was my first pick, a really underrated song by the Manics, but it means I can give this beauty a shout  DrQRS40OKNE (Summer Son's a great shout too <3)
