  1. Disgraceful showing. Not even letting the man answer the questions and berating someone whose country has been torn apart, and clearly still will be at a threat if peace is agreed on Putin's terms, by making him say how grateful he is to them. That is pure bullying behaviour. All of this complete music to Putin's ears.
  2. Yikes at that gap in Semi 2, even narrower than the 0.5 gap from Hinterlandia's in my contest x Hooray for FSR Rontvia though as I was worried that might be out ❤️ Love a good bit of spoken word 08 • Scotland 2 • Sisso & Maiko - Kazi Ipo 06 • Kylienips • Kim Wilde - Hourglass Human (feat. Scarlett Wilde) 02 • Buzzjack Mountain • rem! - greed II (kyoto version) (feat. Grimzlee) 01 • Zanmatony • Francis Mercier & Boukman Eksperyans - Imamou Not the best, but I was initially fearing the worst, Great job with the maiden hosting on the new site, Cody x
  3. Oh wow, I thought Zanmatony sounded like it could do quite well! Was my 1 pointer, and deserved more </3 I could well be losing more looking at what's left...😢
  4. There goes two of my votes </3 I guess chaotic dance wasn't the vibe of this semi, and Kylienips was a strong song, Scarlett taking some nice influences from her aunt x
  5. Was getting worried there after some surprising qualifiers! Thank you all <3 Still missing quite a few of my votes though, Buzzjack Mountain was my 2 pointer, had a pretty cool, chaotic sound although I was wary wasting too many points given they never bother to vote x
  6. Hooray for Singerpurear <3
  7. Songs aren't rounded for results purposes, I believe. Let's go with new site song contest results! I hope the SF1 predictions for a few of my favourites were wrong (although not for me x)
  8. Son of Dork, pretty embarassingly bad.
  9. That's quite surprising low for Coldplay 💔 Not their absolute best, but certainly a highlight from their recent (ish) material
  10. 25; Chicane - Poppiholla 24; U2 - One 23; Crowded House - Weather With You 22; The Bravery - An Honest Mistake 21; Alan Walker - Faded 20; R.E.M. - Everybody Hurts 19; Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit 18; Klaxons - Golden Skans 17; Coldplay - Adventure Of A Lifetime 16; The Doors - Light My Fire 15; Dolly Parton - Jolene 14; Blancmange - Living On The Ceiling 13; Green Day - Basket Case 12; Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me) 11; Jax Jones featuring Ina Wroldsen – Breathe 10; Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control 09; Amy Winehouse - Rehab 08; The Cardigans - Erase/Rewind 07; Pulp - Disco 2000 06; Uniting Nations – Out of Touch 05; Kygo and Selena Gomez – It Ain't Me 04; Mika - Happy Ending 03; Lady Gaga - Alejandro 02; The Ones - Flawless 01; Elton John - Your Song
  11. Avril Lavigne - Complicated The Game - Hate It Or Love It (feat. 50 Cent) Linkin Park - In The End
  12. Both really good, but this is Avril at her very best.
  13. Fergie now, pretty naff x
  14. Going for Amy, but I do really like all of these.
  15. I mean I enjoyed Conclave, but it's marketing campaign is getting a bit out of control now.
  16. That's pretty good for Love Lies Bleeding considering it was still quite an under the radar release, love both of what this director has offered us so far and interested to see what she does next. Kinds of Kindness was certainly no Poor Things, but still had some weird charm to it, sadly Maxxxine was a bit of a disappointment after the first two, felt a bit too generic overall in comparison.
  17. That's an excellent top 3, Capricorn is a wonderfully dreamy song and an instant standout on first listen (and I'm hoping I can finally get round to the album soon, timely as ever x) and Weird Boy was one of my favourite BJSC discoveries this year, anything that evokes Fade to Grey is going to be up my alley, and some great BJSC picks throughout (from what I remember :kink:) Some other selected comments from ones I know (oh there turned out to be a lot here x) #6 ROSÉ & Bruno Mars - APT. (chart hits don't normally click with me much these days, but this was pretty fun and catchy x) #19 Manic Street Preachers - Decline & Fall (My first thought was this is so by the numbers for them, yet I have grown to like it. It's nice that they're still just doing what they want to do thirty years on) #31 Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Long Dark Night (I think this came at the wrong time as I was quite stressed irl, but I have grown to really appreciate it, the whole album is beautiful) #34 Ethel Cain - American Teenager (I listened to this album recently, does drag just a tad but the highlights are big and this was a great single that I definitely should've given more points to at the time, I did enjoy the Americana songs though the experimental part starting with Ptolamea is my favourite, not sure if you've checked out her new EP but it's...an experience for sure x) #35 Sky Ferreira - Leash (Great soundtrack song (and better than the film itself x)) #37 FKA twigs - Eusexua (beautiful stuff, another artist I feel I need to check out more from) #45 Billie Eilish - CHIHIRO (Highlight from the album <3) #66 Father John Misty - Q4 (Did prefer his material this year, but great to see him here nonetheless, this was the song that introduced me to him) #78 Sharon Van Etten - Afterlife (6Music hammered this one, but it's lovely, got a lot of time for what I know from Sharon) #93 Lankum - Newcastle (A more underrated highlight from the album next to the intense songs I sent to BJSC and UP) #99 Jockstrap - Concrete Over Water (I also got to this quite late, but love it, the album was just my kind of experimental) #113 Ariana Grande - we can't be friends (wait for your love) (My favourite from her this year, love the Eternal Sunshine themed video) #115 The Cure - Alone (what a comeback <3)
  18. Not really a Bond fan, but this does seem like a shameless corporate Disney Star Wars move where the quality of the films will suffer and loads of unremarkable spin-offs will be developed, and at the same time, mobilising the 'anti-woke' crowd. Suppose that's the way these franchises are going, sigh x
  19. Cher - Believe Christina Aguilera - Genie In A Bottle Destiny's Child - Bootylicious OutKast - Ms. Jackson TLC - No Scrubs Creed - With Arms Wide Open Mariah Carey - Thank God I Found You (feat. Joe and 98°) SisQó - Incomplete
  20. These are all already safe, but they're easily the best x Destiny's Child - Survivor Eve - Let Me Blow Ya Mind (feat. Gwen Stefani) Sixpence None The Richer - Kiss Me
  21. Managed to avoid losing any of my big favourites there so that's a great result. Although I feel bad and a bit stupid that I somehow never realised there was a vocal version of a Twin Peaks theme...especially as I've seen that artist throughout the show  Still, one to add to my list of retro discoveries!
  22. Hard between Leon's atrocity and Ronan's dirge, but went for the former. Islands in the Stream sounds glorious compared to them.
  23. Wordy Rappinghood is a wonderfully quirky song (Genius of Love is also great), and the Chicks on Speed cover decades later was great too, wish I could've given it more but it is a fairly recent discovery.

John Turturro was seriously brilliant in the most recent episode, Emmy worthy. One of the best episodes actually, loved the mix of lore, beautiful scenery and twist reveals (I didn't think the Helly/Helena twist was super surprising as it was all but confirmed in episode 2, but good the show doesn't keep obvious truths sitting for ages and can progress with the storylines). Still yet to disappoint as a show overall, manages to be an effective sci-fi mystery, commentary and yet still making us really care about the characters.
  25. Week 18: Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise (feat. L.V.) Meat Loaf - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) Seal - Kiss From A Rose Snow - Informer TLC - Waterfalls Boyz II Men - I'll Make Love To You Céline Dion - The Power Of Love Michael Jackson - You Are Not Alone Week 19: 2Pac - California Love (feat.
