How Did You Become A Take That Fan??
To be honest I was a bit too old to be a Take That fan first time around. and I was a bit embarrassed about liking them at the time. It was only after becoming such a huge fan of Robbie as a solo star that I began to realise how much I had really liked Take That, and I dug out all my old videos and CDs around the time Rob brought Markie on stage at Knebworth (I was there :cheer: ) which I honestly think was the first move towards the Take That reunion. I then saw them at Wembley last year and I was totally blown away by them - I have tickets for 30 November and 1 December on this tour, and it's the first time that I have ever gone to see anybody 2 nights in a row other than Robbie - I can't wait.

Optional Forum League Table
It is a shame that this forum hasn't really taken off, but as Kathy says there are already lively forums on TTTV and TTAP amongst others and maybe Buzzjack isn't the right place for Take That - it would be a shame to see this forum go though. Maybe things will improve when the new tour starts.

Take That ***new single***
I presume Westlife's release is a cover? I expect it will still do well for them as they are still really popular, but if Take That do even minimal promotion for Rule the world they should do a lot better. I think it's a great song which really deserves to get to number 1 :cheer:

What Take That song are you listening to right now ?
Beautiful World (I heard it playing on Corrie and realised that I hadn't played the album for a bit, still loving it :cheer: )

Take That ***new single***
I saw the trailer for Stardust when I was at the cinema yesterday, and overheard someone in front of me saying.... Take That have done the song for the soundtrack and it's supposed to be brilliant The film looked really good from the trailer :cheer: If they're trailing it in the cinemas now I'd have thought it would be out for around half term (October) and probably the single will coincide with the release of the film - nice timing for the start of the tour as well :yahoo:

August 2007 News
Ok, maybe she's not Ayda ROB'S 6FT ANGEL He has quickie during dinner ROBBIE WILLIAMS is back dating and has winged himself a 6ft blonde former model. The laddish singer—whose string of hits includes Angels—is smitten with stunning CLARE STAPLES, who's six years older than him. They've been seeing each other for six months. She's the ex-fiancée of TV hypnotist PAUL McKENNA, but it's Robbie's eyes she's been looking into lately. The pair enjoyed a dinner at LA's Chateau Marmont Hotel with JUDE LAW and Paul, who Clare manages. I hear Robbie and Clare, left, couldn't contain their passion and no doubt he was saying Let Me Entertain You when they nipped off for some, ahem, afters during their meal. An onlooker said: "They couldn't keep their hands to themselves. No one could take their eyes off Robbie and Clare because they were all over each other. He was constantly touching her legs and whispering in her ear. "Then things got a bit heated. They went to get the key to Clare's room and disappeared into the bedroom for 15 minutes. They must fancy the pants off each other." Robbie has had a string of celebrity lovers including TARA PALMER-TOMKINSON, All Saints singer NICOLE APPLETON and model RACHEL HUNTER. But pals say the 33-year-old is a changed man and is really happy with the new girl in his life. My source said: "Clare has been dating Robbie for six months now, and they're both serious about each other. They are very happy, have loads in common and enjoy spending lots of time together." Leggy Clare, 39, wrote a book revealing her tips for keeping a man on a tight leash, called Everything I Know About Men I Learnt From My Dog. And now she's bagged Britain's most famous bachelor. Clare was previously in a five-year relationship with McKenna, right. They got engaged in Venice but split a year later in 1995, blaming work pressures. Last year she dated ex-Arsenal legend SOL CAMPBELL, and she's also been linked to Scottish actor DOUGRAY SCOTT. Seems things have turned round for Robbie since he checked himself into rehab in February for his addiction to prescription drugs. My source said: "Robbie is on a real health kick and is looking super-fit. He plays lots of football and is writing more and more music. He's on great form." He might also join the Take That reunion tour in the autumn after talks with former bandmate GARY BARLOW. They patched up their differences after MARK OWEN organised a meeting. Green Man : Mark Owen
Anyone else listen to this recently? They're selling it in Woolworths for £4 at the moment so I got a copy to replace my mislaid one.... and it's a fantastic album - it should have done much better than it did. Here's what i thought track by track... I haven't played the bonus tracks through yet :yahoo: 1. Green Man.... brilliant opening track, very Markie 2. Clementine..... love it, loved it when I heard him sing it live, great catchy song 3.Child.... another love it... quite haunting at times, especially the chorus 4. Are you with me..... yes I am Markie 5. Naturally..... How catchy is this??? One of my favourite tracks 6. Ask him to .....Nice song, again very Markie 7. Backpocket and me....... Reminds me of something, can't think what, very catchy 8. Move on... this ones a bit of a grower I think 9.Secondhand wonderland...... sounds a bit mystic... I think Markie must have been in his Buddist phase during this one... like it though 10. My Love... like it 11.I am what I am..... almost a skip, not too keen on this one 12. Is that what it's all about..... I like this one... a nice track to chill to

Robbie & Gary Bury The Hatchet
That will be great Kathy, I hope you have a fab time in Belfast. When I see Take That at the O2 it will be the first time I've seen anyone 2 nights in a row, apart from Robbie :cheer: And spelling Odessey gives me problems too.... it's supposed to be a great venue though - looking forward to hearing all about it :yahoo:

Robbie & Gary Bury The Hatchet
Kathy, I'm from Belfast and believe me you will really enjoy seeing Take That there, as Belfast audiences have always been special. I saw them (all of them!) there on the Everything Changes tour in 1992... I think Robbie has only played there once as a solo artist, by which time I was living in London. Are they in the Oddessey? I haven't been in it, but i believe it's great.

It must be time for me to go to bed, Scotty is agreeing with me

Robbie & Gary Bury The Hatchet
PS I think RWAP is probably the most TT friendly Robbie site actually :cheer: I can't comment on PR as they've banned me from there, no idea why, not bothered though

Robbie & Gary Bury The Hatchet
I believe they had both of Gary's albums in my branch of Woolies Kathy, there were 2 spaces, but none left when I got there at lunchtime. I already have Open Road, and I think it's a brilliant album... I was never as keen on the other one, my copy seems to have gone astray somewhere over the years which was why I made the trip to Woolworths today - I hope they get some more in. I would throughly recommend Mark's Green man album if anyone hasn't heard it BTW - it's brilliant. I liked How the mighty fall as well I throughly enjoyed the Diana concert, and at the risk of bringing up the dreaded subject again, I was very relieved that Robbie wasn't there - I had a text that morning to say he hadn't showed at the football the night before, and I actually felt sick with dread in case he had got on a plane to London instead... I really think the time for him to get on stage with the others has passed - maybe a one off TV appearance or a set at something like The Brits perhaps, but not a gig - it would definitely not work imo. The dvd of the Diana concert is due out sometime BTW, probably for Christmas. It was a pity that Never Forget was cut due to the time constraints, as I think that probably would have brought the house down at Wembley I'm seing Take That again at the O2 on 30 November and 1 December and I seriously can't wait :cheer:

Robbie & Gary Bury The Hatchet
Well Scotty I didn't mention the point that Robbie couldn't have a hit without Guy Chambers as we all know that to be complete rubbish. And I go on the Official TT forum and TTAP a lot and yes, there are occasional digs at Robbie (and I always jump to his defence) but in all honesty the majority of TT fans are not bothered whether he ever rejoins them or not. I really think though it's time for both sides to move on in this, as I said I'm in the lucky situation of liking both, and at the moment while Robbie is obsessed with football, I'm really grateful to have some great music coming from Take That, whether they write it all themselves or not. At least they're not doing stand up at the key change covers :D BTW, Kathy Gary's two albums had sold out in my branch of Woolworths today, and I bought the last copy of Mark's Green man album (which is fantastic :yahoo: )

Robbie & Gary Bury The Hatchet
Ok, can't keep quiet on this any longer. I am a fan of both Robbie and Take That as most of you know, and it really pisses me off when "Robbie" fans come across as being super loyal to him by slagging off Take That at every opportunity and are hoping that they will just go away, as they have obviously ruined Robbie's life by having this successful comeback, which is of course going to end any day now, unless they milk all publicity they can from their connections to their ex bandmate..... sorry, but it was Robbie who actually started all this by bringing Mark Owen on stage at Knebworth, and singing Take That songs and taking every opportunity to mention them during practically every concert he's ever done (and I've been to a lot of them). Gary has said quite categorically that there won't be a reunion with Robbie on stage , and it seems it's only a small minority of Robbie's solo fans who are particularly bothered about it anyway. Most people who like both Robbie and Take That aren't bothered either way. They genuinely couldn't care less, we have the best of both worlds liking Robbie and also liking the new music coming from the mighty Take That. Personally I think they will all probably work together at some point in the future, but there's no way that Robbie would ever fit in as a member of Take That now. Actually he never did, that was the problem. So Robbie had dinner with some old friends who happened to be ex band mates, I really don't see anything wrong with that, the 5 members of Take That have made up privately and I really think it's time to let it go and live with it - Robbie will always be associated with Take That and they will always be associated with him, end of, neither need each other for publicity or anything else. Actually Robbie probably has a lot more in common with Gary Barlow and Mark Owen than he would ever have with people like David Beckham and his wife, who would stab their granny in the back for publicity if it suited them. Comparing Robbie's sales to Take Thats sales is just stupid, they've been away for 10 years for a start, and who can say whether Robbie Williams would be the star he is today if he hadn't been Robbie from Take that? It's like speculating if Paul Mccartney would have made it if he hadn't been a Beatle. And who actually gives a toss whether Rudebox has been number 1 in the Faroe Islands for 6 months, or She's Madonna has sold 25 copies more than IWFL??? If you like it you like it, and if you don't you don't the same goes for Beautiful World, there's nobody competing here, and nothing at all to justify sales wise..... Rant over :yahoo:

Latest Robbie Photos Part 2
There's some familiar backs of heads in those pics  I thought Jonathan Wilkes was back in the UK though.... or is there another Jonathan in the team? EDIT: Reading cali's report on FS, I think it was actually Dean Jacobs who ran into the crowd, not Jonny

The Official Site part 2
It's a legal competition requirement to ask a question. It will probably be very simple though... something along the lines of..... What is Robbie's most famous song? Is it.... A. Angles B. Angelas or C. Angels

The Official Site part 2
We have a member with a winning number on RWAP too  I think all 5 win as long as they answer the question correctly. I wonder what they'll do though if all the numbers aren't claimed??

Take That fail to Reach Westlife Record
It's hardly a flop - number 17 is an entry position, it will go up next week. I think it has done well considering it wasn't the best choice of single and had no promotion or airplay, and of course the new chart rules haven't helped either. I doubt whether Take That will be too upset, their Ultimate Collection has gone back into the album chart at number 9, and Beautiful World is at number 34, pretty impressive for an album that came out before Christmas. It will be interesting to see how well the next Westlife single fares under the new chart rules. I doubt if they'll be continuing their run either.
