RONDÉ won!? YASS! They're such a great band, and I am happy they've been scoring hit after hit here in the Netherlands since Hard to Say Goodbye. For vinyl collectors: their previous four hits were released on a 10" record late last year - it looks great!

That EP is great - I submitted my favourite track from it in PJSC a few rounds ago (Greedy, with the Marilyn Monroe interview sample).

Lookylion is going Retro once more. 80's or perhaps even the 70's.

For round 161, LookyLion is going a bit more dancey/clubby with My Friend feat. Darla Jade. My Friend is a dance/house/techno production duo from London, who have been releasing tracks since 2018. On this recent release, the duo joined forces with Darla Jade - an electro-pop artist, who also has released several tracks over the past few years, both solo and in collaboration with others acts.

2023 was a year with mixed results for me, with only one Top 10 (but with a win) and two entries not qualifying. Also - my Retro entries usually do not do well, but that will not stop me from sending a Retro song in 2024 every now and then. My last entry of 2023 for round 160 luckily qualified, and though I had hoped it would do better, I am glad some of the voters enjoyed it!

I guess most of you are cat people...

I considered Eden xo last round, but figured she'd be vetoed. So I sent her to PJSC, much to Carel/Bre's horror, where she was almost vetoed, but got through in the end, where she got to number two (behind Chappell Roan). Curious to find out who tried her here. I tried Dove Cameron here, after she was vetoed for the current round of PJSC. I blame Carel/Bre! :D
