  1. I try not to - I have only done an artist recycle on here once (Babet; I think it was because my original entry was either already taken or vetoed?). I also try not to recycle an artist I've submitted into the PJSC contests, but have failed there a few times hehehe (Dolly Dots, Helene Fischer, Rondé)
  2. For round 159, another Dutch artist. Stefanie Joosten is originally from the south of the country, Limburg. Currently living in Japan, Stefanie is a model, actress and singer - and one of the characters in a Metal Gear game was based on her looks and she also provides the voice of that character. In 2022 she released her debut single and album, and a new single was just released, which features THE Giorgio Moroder.
  3. Thanks to our host and all who voted for Laura Palmer's Theme - a fine piece of music! And of course congrats to the medalists!
  4. Skall's entry pops up when I open the form? Edit: and now other's too

  9. The lions have voted...!
  10. For round 158, I selected a wonderful funk song from the 80's, by the legendary Teena Marie. Teena Marie's career began in the late 70's, as a protege of Rick James, who also produced her debut album. Her second album was called Lady T, a nickname that has always stuck. That album includes her biggest UK hit, Behind The Groove. Her biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100 was indeed lovergirl, taken from her 6th album Starchild, reaching no. 4. In the second half of the 90's, Teena dedicated her time to raising her daughter, though several of her songs were sampled during that time, most notably her song Ooo La La La in Fu-Gee-La by The Fugees. Teena re-emerged on the music scene in 2004 with a new album, and two more were released before her death in 2010. In 2004, while sleeping in a hotel room, a large picture frame fell and struck her on the head. The blow caused a serious concussion that resulted in momentary seizures for the rest of her life; she had major seizure a few weeks before her death, which may have caused it, it seems. Such a sad story. Teena was such a talented songwriter, musician, singer and performer. I hope this round will expose more listeners to her back catalogue.

  21. Céline Dion?? Yes, Céline Dion. I am one of the (few?) people that do not care much for her English catalogue, but I LOVE her French recordings. So when this round come up, I chose to enter an early recording by Céline. I hope you all will enjoy it, and I am looking forward to diving into the other entries!
  22. I do hope FARC does well... (though that song did not do well for me at PopJustice...)
