The point of Beyoncé stepping into this genre is because the alleged purpose of her album trilogy is to celebrate and 'reclaim' genres that were created by black people but later co-opted by white people who pushed them either out of the genre completely or back into the recesses. The first album was dance/house, this album is country and the third album is rumoured to be rock. We're already seeing large impacts on the success of black women in country music. Many are seeing giant sales and streaming gains that they've never seen before, opportunities for interviews etc. It's important to acknowledge that Beyoncé is doing country music, not 'country-inspired' or 'country-ish' music.

Beyoncé is back to #1 with "TEXAS HOLD 'EM". The clean version is still at #9.

Taylor Swift has more AOTY GRAMMYs than every black woman in history combined. No-one is expecting Beyoncé to win over her at this point.

The duet sold enough on its out to be #1 outright, without any inclusion of the original. There was a whole article about it, but with the OOC not crediting remixes 99.9% of the time she sadly didn't get the chart credit for it.

Beyoncé stable at #2 with 571,903 streams. Benson at #3 with 474,735. Think she might snatch the #1 this week! :dance:

Beyoncé is up two spots to #7 on the Daily Artists chart on Spotify yesterday, so could signify a sizeable jump in streams. :cheer:
