Golden ● 14th Studio Album ● Part I
The album isnt a country album, she was just in Nashville writing with some songwriters. The album is sad to have a 90s dance feel, and the influence is said to be the DNA remix of Toms Diner. Album looking like either a Q4, or spring 2018 release. See below from Kylie informant... "It MIGHT be spring again now. Like I keep saying, try not to get bogged down by expectation. Everything is still up in the air. But be encouraged. They’re not letting the album out until, at least they perceive it’s amazing. Obviously fans will be the final judge, but there’s no arbitrary deadline which sacrifices what they think is quality this time. If they finish it in time for November great. If it’s not ready, it’s March. In which case, we’ll probably get a single or two this year. She’s back in London now, and immediately into writing sessions. I’m glad they’re adopting this tact. Body Language, X and KMO were all rushed to meet specific release dates, and each one would have benefitted a great deal from a few months extra to hone the direction. Fever was rushed too, but they got lucky with those amazing singles. Arguably Light Years and Impossible Princess are her best albums. They both took quite some time. Kylie’s at her best when she’s inspired and not under time pressure."

Sounds Like Friday Night
Bob Shennan, director of BBC Radio and BBC Music, has described the corporation’s plans for a new primetime televised music series as a “fantastic opportunity”. A brand new six-part music series will be broadcast live on BBC One this autumn and will feature UK and international music stars. As reported earlier today (July 19), each 30-minute show will feature with live performances, sketches and interviews. Independent production company Fulwell 73 has been commissioned to produce the series by Charlotte Moore, director BBC Content, and Jan Younghusband, for BBC Music and BBC Entertainment on BBC One. Shennan said: “The BBC is the biggest music broadcaster in the UK and we are always looking for new ways to bring music to our audiences. This series will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase the biggest and best UK and international bands and artists and we’re looking forward to working with one of the world’s most innovative and creative TV production companies.” Jan Younghusband, head of commissioning for BBC Music, said: “Following on from the success of BBC Music programmes such as Adele at the BBC and Michael Bublé at the BBC, we’re excited to be bringing this new live music series to BBC One.” Gabe Turner, partner at Fulwell 73 says: ‘We’re delighted to be working with the BBC on such an exciting series. The BBC’s heritage in creating and broadcasting world class music TV is second to none - their classic music shows were a big part of our childhoods growing up as fans devouring everything pop culture. The range of genres and different styles that people are listening to now is more diverse than ever before, and it’s a great time to be making a show that gives a mainstream TV platform to the most exciting stuff out there." Further details will be announced later in the summer.

Friday Chart Predictions
Ariana Grande’s hit single One Last Time is set to re-enter the Top 40 on this week’s Official Singles Chart in the wake of the devastating attack on her Manchester concert this week. The track climbs from outside the Top 200 overnight to Number 35 in today’s Official Charts Company sales flash (May 25) as the UK remembers the victims of the attack on Monday which killed 22 people. One Last Time, which is taken from the singer’s 2014 album My Everything, originally peaked at Number 24 on the Official Chart back in June 2015.

Friday Chart Predictions
It looks like the race for the UK’s Official Number 1 single will go right down to the wire this week. According to Official Charts Company data, Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You is closing the gap on Harry Styles’ Sign Of The Times, separated by 8,000 units (downloads and streaming equivalent sales) in today’s sales flash (April 12). Earlier this week on the Official Chart Update, Harry had a lead of 15,500 over his closest competition, Sheeran’s Galway Girl. The gap between Harry and Ed has since halved, as reigning chart topper Shape Of You continues to be a runaway hit on streaming services, pushing it up from Monday’s position at Number 3 to Number 2 today. However, Harry is performing well on downloads, currently outrunning Shape Of You by 3:1. The One Direction star’s debut release has so far racked up 47,000 copies across all formats, versus Shape Of You’s 39,000, and there’s still 48 hours to go in this week’s chart race. (OCC)

Friday Chart Predictions
I'd consider that very little promotion on the lead up to release... There was no performance or mention of a new album on Comic Relief, so that would have done nothing. And a track being played on the background of a TV slot is hard groundbreaking. SN Take Away was really the only promo.
