BRIT Awards 2013
They would have to have a large autocue if it was Bruce! He cannot read the one on Strictly anyway. He would also need a lie down between stints. He is 85 today!

BRIT Awards 2013
In about 2006 there were fewer nominees and there was a fuss about other songs selling just as many as the nominated one. Consequently they added another lot of songs but Will Young still won it with Your Game! :D

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
Joe is on QVC at 9am on 4 October. This is good as he did very well on there last year. Hopefully this is the start of a second wave of promo.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
You are right Torresgirl. I live on the Isle of Wight and the chances of him coming to anywhere near me are almost zero. He definitely needs to travel all over the country.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
He finished at No.8 in this week's chart. So that is three top ten albums and one top 15. He is the first X-Factor winner to release four albums.

I love his version of Love of my Life. Actually it is difficult to decide which is my favourite - it changes all the time.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
Joe did several gigs in the Olympic Park on Saturday! Well received by all accounts.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
Joe is on Breakfast on 12 September, Alan Titchmarsh on 19 September and The Wright Stuff - but I'm not sure what day that will be. He is also doing two promo concerts on 18 September in Newcastle and 20 September in London (St James' Church).

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
Here's What I Believe is now available to download at all the usual places. I got my copy from Amazon for the princely sum of.89p! The studio version is gorgeous. And it is nice to see that the composer is credited as Joe McElderry.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
Someone has really been listening to the lyrics of HWIB. There is very close to what I think it is. There might be a few phrases slightly incorrect.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
I also heard that he is singing one song in Italian! As I cannot get onto Joe-Nuts, I have to take the bits and pieces of news as I find them.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
Joe is the sort of singer who will outlast the current crop of tuneless wonders. His new self-penned song is excellent and I am waiting to hear it in its proper setting, without the screaming which seems to accompany all live performances these days. Actually ever since Sinatra! I don't the point of screaming over someone singing. Still that's my opninion to which I am entitled.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
Joe did a showcase of the album for TV and radio executives today and the tweets I have read are very positive.

Joe McElderry - Here's What I Believe, Sept
I doubt Joe would ruin anything he sings. In my opinion! He is doing two album launch shows on 18 September in Newcastle and on 20 September at St James' Church in Piccadilly, London. I would love to go but I am saving up my money for the tour.

Joe McElderry
Joe's new album is to be called Here's What I Believe and will be released on 17 September. He has written several songs on there. Or perhaps co-written. He has definitely written some songs recently - not just a word or two.

Jubilee Concert - Best/Worst Performances?
Best was Alfie Boe who was much more entertaining than most there. Worst was Cheryl Cole - a pity Gary asked her.

The concert in aid of the Hunger Project was a great success. I understand it was a sell-out - 5,500 people. Joe sang Don't Stop Believing to open the show and got a great reception. At the end of the first half he joined Dionne Warwick to sing the anthem for World Hunger (One World One Song). They were joined by the London Gospel Choir and also a school choir. The song is very good and would make a great single for the charity. It was written by Tony Hatch and Tim Holder, the founder of the Hunger Project. In the second half Joe sang Nessun Dorma and, again, got rapturous applause. :cheer: Dionne was very impressed according to what she said after he had finished. I don't have any reports of the other singers on the bill because, as usual, the newspapers chose to concentrate on Alexandra Burke's dress, rather than the charitable aspect of the evening. :o

I apologise - Joe is on the Royal British Legion's boat in the flotilla. Presumably invited by them to sing and then to the party on Tower Bridge.

So you are a Republican! Who would you have as president then? I cannot think of anyone at all.

Joe McElderry
Don't be like that - this is a very prestigious event for Joe and he was specially chosen by the Royal British Legion after his superb singing in the Festival of Remembrance. If he hadn't been chosen then people would make derogatory comments about that! He cannot win. I have been around since before the Coronation so appreciate the kudos of singing at the event. Bear in mind it isn't the naff concert which is taking place outside the Palace but actually in a little ship next to the Royal Barge.

Decca Records announced this today! :D

Unfortunately the Street of Dreams musical has been postponed as the producers were not happy with the format and it got rather scathing criticism! Hopefully it will be revived at a later date. In the meantime, Joe is duetting with Dionne Warwick at the World Hunger Day concert - he is also singing a solo (or two). I think it is great that Dionne chose Joe to sing with her - they are singing the new anthem for the Hunger Project.
