I have taken the program back to the shop as it would cost an arm and a leg to upgrade. I have now worked out that I can take the lead out of the Freeview box and plug it into the VCR and the tape will copy to DVD quite easily. I used to be able to do it with no problem before we got rid of the Sky box and got Freeview. Apparently it is something to do with going through Sky which made it easier before but the signal doesn't got through Freeview. My Will friend Phillipa says I can get a switch box for the scart leads from Argos so I don't have to keep removing the lead. I think I will do that.

I have been having problems copying from VHS to DVD. This has been ever since the VCR decided to chew up a tape, so I removed it in order to have it mended. Then when I put it back together I couldn't record from Freeview without keeping the television on. Anyway, after a lot of study on the Internet I discovered how to set the whole thing up and I can now copy from analogue and Freeview. I have bought myself a program for the computer which helps with copying from VHS to DVD and which you just plug in and play the tape. At least I hope it does! I haven't got enough oomph on the processor as I only have Pentium III and it needs IV and above. :( So now I have to upgrade the processor. More money! I have lots of tapes - not only with Will's performances etc on them but also films from the past. Fingers crossed I will be able to up grade.

I am going to programme in all the footage for the Brits - ITV2 then ITV1, then back to ITV2. Should fit on the tape. No way would I watch it. Anyway Torchwood is on BBC2 tonight at 9pm.

It turned out it was a different part but it is OK now and the radiators are nice and hot.

Our central heating is playing up! Very cold here today so we went out to lunch then to our son's and then my sister's. Now back to see DOI results.

Smoke affects me too. I have asthma and really find it difficult to breath when people are smoking.

Love the One You're With isn't an original Will song. I cannot remember who wrote it but it is a few years old. Was it Donny Hathaway?

After a long struggle not very patiently born, I have at last got the link which works and have downloaded it.

I cannot get it to play the video - only the audio! And now I cannot get on Devoted - probably overloaded!

Good luck to Darius! It must have been gruelling to have auditions for three months! I cannot imagine how stressful that would have been.

Why on earth does this person think we are bothered about other singers. Well I am not for one. If Shayne and Leona do well, good luck to them. I just feel they are lumbered with having SC as their manager/mentor or whatever.

To copy your videos to DVD you need to have a DVD recorder. Then you make sure your recorder is set to AV1 or AV2 (preferably 2), start playing the tape and at the same time press "record" on the DVD recorder. If you want to edit at the same time press "pause" when the bit you don't want comes up. Have a practice first.

I think it can be reported. But I don't actually know how.

That's what I thought. However, his forum is still there but it isn't listed on the main index just on the drop down index at the bottom of the page. That is why I thought they had removed it.

I was convinced that Darius's forum had disappeared! Must be a senior moment. :rolleyes:
