Amelle: 'Keisha almost ruined me'.
I think she needs to shut up about Keisha now. It's not doing her, the group or their single any favours. Part of the reason it's not doing as well as they'd hoped is because of what happened. They need to let it lie now. It's done. Anyway, I'm glad she feels better.

'About A Girl' 2.0
Yeah, this isn't doing all that well. I didn't think it would. Maybe their next single will set the charts on fire.

Get Sexy with Jade!
Oh my... This is shockingly bad.

Sugababes ● General Discussion
I never said it would be EXACTLY the same. I wouldn't want it to be. To me, they were brilliant. And now after 10 years - after they've all improved & changed so much - I'd love to see a reunion because of how brilliant each individual lady is. Never say never.

I'm basing my opinion on their recent vocal efforts ('Ghosts', 'Real Girl' and 'C&S'). Improved vocals and I'm more than positive they'd be able to sort their harmony out. And yes, that's true. But Siobhan is so left-field and weird, Keisha's glam and Mutya's in the middle somewhere. It'd be interesing to see.

If 'Ghosts' and 'Real Girl' were released now...
...do you think they'd have been more successful than what they were? I ask because I was reading an article yesterday about them in the local music mag and the writer was basically saying that Siobhan's 'Ghosts' probably would have done better had it been released this year with the right promotion. He mentioned someone called Little Boots who seems to be doing the electro-pop/alternate thing Siobhan did and said she's had a good year with it. Then he spoke about Mutya's record and how that probably would have done better, too. I just thought it was interesting and wondered what you guys thought. I didn't listen to Mutya's record, but I can see where he's coming from when talking about Siobhan's. I think she'd have had a better chance if it was released now than when it was two/three years ago. Especially songs like "Medevac" and "Gold Fish" ... and even the two singles that were released. That type of sound seems to be becoming more popular.

Question re: "New Year".
Oh, after constantly hearing "here come the girls" you'll get sick of it. I'm sure the big man is an undercover fan. Those songs STAY getting played. By the fifth time, it's like "ugh, something else please". They also have a few Jamelia tracks playing, you'll be happy to know; "Something About You", "No More", "See It In A Boy's Eyes", "Thank You" and "Superstar".

Question re: "New Year".
We have "Girls", "No Can Do", "Ugly", "Push The Button" and "Change" playing where I work.

Sugababes ● General Discussion
I'd pick 1.0 any day of the week. They were edgy, different and vocally the best line-up. 4.0 are the same as every other girl group out there. Nothing original in them at all.

Sugababes ● General Discussion
When we first heard the news Keisha got kicked out & the rumours of a 1.0 reunion were spreading, everyone was sure it wouldn't happen because Siobhan & Keisha weren't talking. 6 weeks later and they've started to patch most things up and are having coffee together. I think there's still a chance of a reunion happening. It just looks as though Keisha is contract binded & waiting on her solo career first. I have to say, seeing them all together again - whether it's as the original line-up or not - would be really interesting. Each girl is so different and the last time we saw them together was close to 10 years ago. Siobhan's got this weird, Elizabethan style going on, Keisha's looking all glamourous and Mutya looks awful lately...but yeah. I'd love to hear them sing together. Even if it was just a one off. Siobhan's doing the alternate/Kate Bush type of music, Mutya's soulful and Keisha's pure R&B. They've all improved tremendously over the years, too. Imagine an empty stage with nothing but screaming fans. Suddenly, the intro to "Overload" starts. The screen starts up and there's a video montage with pictures included of 1.0. Then Siobhan steps out and sings her verse. The crowd goes insane. Then Mutya and Keisha walk out like divas and start singing the chorus and the crowd goes MAD. All ladies dressed in some hot designer $h!t. There's smoke on the stage, dancers, etc. Ahhhhh, I'm getting too excited now.

Question re: "New Year".
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean the rest share your opinion. I mean, I always hear that and "Overload" mentioned by fans when asked what their favourite singles are off 'One Touch'.

'About A Girl' 2.0
Yes, but the ladies were steadily getting back out there and the new line-up change not only rocked the boat but almost sank it.
-
'About A Girl' 2.0
Yeah, I agree with that comment. The ladies were garnering a lot of interest this time round. They switched up their image + their sound, worked with the top producers, etc. "Get Sexy" was kinda bland and it still managed to do reasonably well. "About A Girl" is catchier and more appealing to the masses.

Question re: "New Year".
I was just wondering - does anyone know why they've never performed that song live on their tours? I notice they do "Overload" and "Run For Cover" a lot even though "New Year" was more successful than the latter. [General comment] Now it's leading up to Christmas, TV + radio will probably be playing the song more too. Can't wait! Always makes me think of Christmas no matter what time of year I listen. :D

Well, whether it happens or not, I'm just glad Siobhan and Keisha have finally sorted things out. That's a success in itself.
-
Sugababes ● General Discussion
^ Yes. And they could even perform half of their singles if they wanted. They could get around that in a sly way by announcing them as covers. As long as they don't release, they'll be fine...won't they?

Sugababes ● General Discussion
Such a shame. She has more chance of being successful with them than as solo. All the best to each lady.

Sugababes 'planning to tour in March'
I wonder if they'll include "Overload" + "Run For Cover" in their setlist.

Live Lounge
I disagree. There's still a few shaky moments with the vocals. 1.0 and 2.0 were the best vocally.

Rearrange The 25 Sugababes Singles
I just noticed "Angels With Dirty Faces" isn't included in the list. Is there a reason or did you just forget? Not that anyone could blame you. The ladies have had a lot of singles.
-
Rearrange The 25 Sugababes Singles
1. New Year 2. Overload 3. Soul Sound 4. Angels With Dirty Faces 5. Run For Cover 6. Ugly 7. Shape 8. Red Dress (Mutya version) Any order for the rest.

Mutya To Duet With Peter Andre
Mutya IS desperate...but who cares? She just wants to get back out there any which way she can and perform songs. I say good luck to her. Many people would give up, but she's willing to sing alongside anyone.

Siobhan isn't broke. She gets enough royalties to live a comfortable life. I think the offer of solo deals aswell as a group is part of what will get Siobhan to sign on the dotted line.

Heidi Suggests The Band Wasn't Successful Before She Joined
Yes. If it wasn't for Siobhan, Ms Heidi would not be in the group. I don't think she should be so quick to dismiss Siobhan & the success they were having already like that. The girls worked their little teenage asses off getting the group off the ground. If they hadn't, there would be no group for her to join. Yes, the original members had one album. But don't discount the work that led to that album. They put in a lot of hard work prior to 'One Touch' to make it work. Heidi's contributions shouldn't go unnoticed. I agree. However, for people who still dismiss Siobhan completley is utterley ridiculous. Each girl played a part in what the Sugababes now are today. Siobhan helped give them credibility. And there are still fans of the 1.0 lineup so Heidi should just say "I've also contributed a lot to the group" and leave it at that. She isn't going to change the fact she isn't an original member by whinging about it.
