They shouldn't call it a day yet. They need to find their own sound with the next album. Jade was re-recording vocals that were written in a particular style for Keisha to sing. Their voices are completley different and Jade just didn't pull it off, IMO.

A day job? Oh my goodness. I almost fell off my chair. I am SHOCKED. Do you know what the conflict was? *Blows dust off 'Ghosts' CD and pops it in CD player*

Some good news - it's only dropped one place to #24.

220,000 is impressive. With that album, the singles and the GH, Siobhan must be leading a comfortable lifestyle (assuming she invested her money wisely).

I missed your previous post, but yeah - just flip your weave and shrug it off. Or make a joke saying something like "yeah, Siobhan's sales ARE hilarious". It's all in jest. Take the forum with a pinch of salt. I don't remember who it was. It was months ago. I just explained to them I wasn't offending anybody and they should ignore my posts if they had THAT much of a problem with 'em. They didn't respond again.

'Sweet 7' Album Thread
And I've got some heat from what I post here. I've had public bashings and message sent to my PM box. The way I see it is, yes I have a lot of negative things to say about the group at present. However, I always back up my statements with WHY I feel a certain way about something I don't like. I don't just say things to annoy people intentionally or to cause trouble. I'm respectful (I've never insulted anyone) and say what I believe. I've also praised the group on a few small things which seem to go unnoticed whenever someone tries to come at me. Point is - it's our opinions that allow a discussion to take place. People aren't going to always agree and that's fine. When someone disagrees with something I've said, it's fine. That's their opinion and I respect that. Just as most do with mine. Some people need to start respecting people here and their right to an opinion. And wow - #14 is awful and so are those sales (if true).

'Sweet 7' Album Thread
Just because people aren't feeling the present line up doesn't mean they can't reminisce about past line ups with other members here. They have just as much right to an opinion on the new line up just as much as anyone. The fact the latest line up is getting so much heat is telling. Personally, I'm past caring about line ups because I'm sure this latest one won't be the last, and it's all got a bit ridiculous now. However, I don't see anything wrong with people offering their opinions on the new line up covering songs from 2.0 and 3.0. Most of the time, the opinions are offered in a respectful manner. Whether the moderator is a fan of the new line up or not is irrelevant. As long as they do their jobs (which they do), then it's all good. The forum would be boring if everyone liked the same things. So, in short - as long as everyone is respectful to one another, I think people should post what they like. And with the way this era has gone, you're bound to see a lot more negative responses than positives.

'Sweet 7' Album Thread
#11 is bad, but I could live with that if the sales were good & it was just a competitive week. However, they're not. The sales for 'Sweet 7' are EMBARASSING considering it's had THREE top ten singles released thus far. But then there's all the other issues (the leak, poor promotion, etc) that no matter how many top ten singles they had, it'd still have bombed. And it's not like the singles sold a high amount anyway... At this point, I'd be more concerned with the SALES of the album; not the charting position. These poor sales are going to rock the boat for sure, and I smell this era coming to an abrupt end in the next few months.

Janet Jackson - Nothing.
It leaked yesterday. It's a nice little ballad. Nothing amazing, but she sounds SO much like Michael on this.

"Denial" is their best, undeniably. I'm not keen on the song at all, but that video was hot. I liked the "Angels" video, haha. I was young and thought it was pretty cute.

The fact that there were no stupid dance routines, stupid hairstyles, outfits, a ton of make-up, etc. Because of its SIMPLICITY and ORIGINALITY, that's what makes it one of their best videos (IMO, of course). It was well edited and there was no mistaking it for someone elses video. They made it their OWN. And I don't understand your point regarding Atomic Kitten? That came out afterwards and guess what - it worked for them too...though it wasn't as effective because they were trying to be sexy and it didn't work. Kerry Katona + sexy = NOT HAPPENING.

You know, they could make an innovative video on a small budget if they wanted to. "Overload" is my favourite video, despite the cheapness of it. It was new, fresh and original. How many videos have we seen like that since? It was really well done. If the girls insist on releasing six singles, they could make a good video on a budget. It's when they try to make the video look expensive by using green screen and stuff on a small budget that it fails.

Oh, there won't be three more. The label won't make any profit by paying for videos, CDs, promotion when the last few singles & the album have poor sales. IF they release three more, the last two will probably be download only. But I can see them ending this era right after the forth single.

The problem with those though is that they're not single material. I mean, I guess they're alright songs. But nothing that'll give the album a push.

'Wear My Kiss' Version 2 - 3rd Single Discussion
Yeah, but that was an obvious hit and would have done well whether they appeared on that show or not. You can't put "About You Now" in the same category as "Wear My Kiss". The fact they're wasting time on this type of show where the audience majority is 35 years+ promoting "Wear My Kiss" is silly. Alright, let them perform and then check sales for the single and tell me if there's a significant increase. There won't be because the audience at home who watch that show aren't interested in the type of music Sugababes are doing.

'Wear My Kiss' Version 2 - 3rd Single Discussion
Amy's music caters to his audience demographic more than Sugababes' music does, though. And she's doing pretty well with her stuff. She's a singer-songwriter with a guitar, nice voice and songs that are more acclaimed than Sugababes. Can you imagine the old folk boogying along to "Get Sexy" watching three women tarted up dancing around? Whereas with Amy's style, it's more chilled out & laid back. I just think it's a waste of promo. But I suppose it will be nice seeing them.

I can't see them having Heidi back at all. Hell, I can just barely see them working with Siobhan. And vice versa.

"Crash & Burn" won't do much. If they way a ballad type single, go with what seems to be the popular choice - "Thank You For The Heartbreak". Or better yet - LISTEN to the fans and release "She's A Mess". I mean, I've seen so many people highlighting this as one of their favourite songs. It makes sense to release it (if they're set on releasing another single).
-
'Wear My Kiss' Version 2 - 3rd Single Discussion
Isn't his audience the wrong demographic for the Sugababes' music? I mean, I can think of at least three other shows they'd be more suited to. I can't see many people wanting to go and purchase a Sugababes album from watching them on Alan Titchmarsh.
