Well, you got the Star Trek fan in me on board at least a little - then it turned out this was an updated version of the Picard Song but directly with Patrick Stewart's rich voice being sampled into song and there is nothing more glorious because that man is perfect at everything (I mean, it just sounds like rich honey in musical form). I guess Pogo's pretty good himself too to have made this. Something reminding me of the hilarious scene in Ménage Á Troi is always *.*

What a debut, you've outshone Trifoski on this one Azure! That sort of Fall Out Boy/Set It Off/All Time Low adjacent punk rock is always fantastic and this has a little cheeky wink to the side to help it too, it's just a completely undeniable anthem.
13 Aelandor / Copeland - No One Really Wins
Honestly my top 3 is all very close together, I almost thought about putting this at 18, and I wasn't expecting it because this grew pretty marvellously, I wondered if I'd point it at all when I saw it had been entered and then I pointed it pretty heavily by the end of the semi stage, that sort of emo poprock always gets me eventually and No One Really Wins has a lovely building feeling that makes it more powerful the more you go through the song.
12 Persephonia / xi - Happy End Of The World
Something a lot more chilled than what's above it, Persephonia wins on engaging instrumental this time, marvellous tune.

Hello to everyone around the globe from your friends here in Aesthetica!
While tonight is a very exciting night for everyone, for us here in Aesthetica, tonight marks a very bittersweet moment in the short history of our nation. As we're sure many of you have heard by now, Wonder Girls recently announced their official disbandment after 10 years together. This makes BJSC91 the final international stage for the legendary kpop girl group. We would like to take this moment to thank and to pay tribute to all 7 girls who were part of the group at one point or another for everything they have done for the group and for kpop as a whole.
Yeeun, Sunmi, Yubin, and Lim, as well as former members Sohee, Sunye, and Hyuna (of 4Minute fame), all of your contributions to this group—no matter how big or small—have made an impact. None of this would have been possible without any of you, and clearly your decade of success has proven that. Regardless of the result tonight, thank you for being Wonderful and thank you for gracing Aesthetica with the honor of sending you to BJSC. The group will release one final goodbye single on the 10th of February, and we invite you all to join us in celebrating the final moments of the Decade of Wonderful when it is released.

What a beautiful song, this is the first BJSC entry I've listened to on repeat for days on end for quite a while. Everything from the beautifully mixed acoustic guitar, the smooth ethereal vocals with the slow build from falsetto into a more powerful chest voice, the wonderful strings that slowly creep in, the steady drum beat that just continues to get stronger, the way the harmonies come in towards the end and that's just a brief analysis of what I love about this song, a fantastic find and I hope Harmonica goes far in this contest.

What's not going on in this song? I use this word a bit too often but absolute banger, great synths, a proper dirty industrial sound with lots of distortion, that kind of stuff really appeals to the heavier side of my taste (even tho this isn't that heavy but I digress). Got to be honest I never really expected something like this from Yehesi but I'm so glad they went with it, this is such a quality entry and really gets you going. Also I definitely appreciate the random German.

Tune. This song starts with the epic bass line and just builds and builds with it's roots ( :magic: ) firmly planted in said bass line that just won't stop (aside from strategic delays in the prechorus) and powers it's way through this beauty of a song with slowly increasing urgency. The vocals here are fantastic with just enough backing vox in there to not be overwhelming but to add meaningfully to the song. By the time you get to the second chorus it's already at the point at which it'll be stuck in your head for the rest of the day and let's not even talk about that luscious breakdown at the end or else I won't be able to control the gushing.

Addictive, catchy and impossible not to like on first listen. This is the kind of music I would have been actively searching out a few years ago and it makes me want to go back to it, catchy, uplifting, soaring synthpop with fantastic leads in the instrumental section after the chorus and impeccably timed stops/ starts (see 2:20), beautiful production on this and again with the ethereal vocals. I was so close to putting this up a couple places higher and if this was an 'ordinary' contest I expect this would get at least a 15 if not an 18. This one's a grower as well, it just gets better every time I listen to it so who knows where it'll be if I do an end of year...

Some great crunchay guitar in this one, I know I'm going to keep saying this now but it's so hard not putting this higher. A great infusion of digital production and audio recordings in this, possibly one of my favourite ever Pupok entries. Great starts and stops, a touch of distortion on the instrumental throughout and in the chorus it's just so deliberate and powerful with those dubstep esque punches and a melody hook that you just can't help get stuck in your head for all the right reasons.

First of all welcome to the contest Azure- the final on your debut no less! I've got to admit I did know this song before the contest but only by a month or two. This sound fills me with nostalgia, good old pop punk with a pleasing chord progressions and a clean vocalist pushing the limits of his range in order to convey maximum emotion. :lol:
It's a really fun song and I honestly couldn't imagine giving it any less that this, it's only at 10 because of the strength of the above songs, great first entry Azure, keep them coming.

Bøtanikkä are on FIRE lately! I gave them a 15 just two contests ago for 'Stanga' and we're right back there already with this undeniable jam. Israeli Noga Erez has such a quirky and fierce delivery that instantly commands my attention. Then the production takes it up to a whole other level! This is nothing short of an absolute BANGER that I hope does really well tonight. I initially thought this could be quite polarising but everything seems to be going for it so g'won Boøtanikkä! Cannot get enough of this at the moment.

Oh my goodness where did THIS come from? *.* Summericia have entered 2017 with a brand new bold sound that has given us entry envy. I knew I was going to love this judging by its description in their national thread, but I wasn't quite prepared for just how much I was going to love it. I was all over this in about 10 seconds, I'm a sucker for this kind of spooky-witchy sound. Very reminiscent of Crystal Castles who seem fabulous from everything that I've heard by them. This instantly topples KEYS&CAGES as our new Summericia fave! Congrats on your first ever medal position from us <3

South Danaelanda get what feels like a criminally low 3 points (not a lot between this and our 9 pointer) with a #multicultural trance anthem. Aelandor get twice as many points as they did with their previous qualifier, with maybe their new best entry to date. Then there's 5 points for a fellow instrumental entry from Fljótavík, with a lovely ~atmospheric~ sound.

- 6 points to a quirky banger from Bøtanikkä, production reminding us a bit of our own Unknown Pleasures entry 'dont copy us'. 7 points go to Desbuanda with a proper earworm of a track with some delicious Frankie Knuckles-esque bleeps and bloops ~ Yehesi get their highest points from us ever (although not ranked as high as Deorro and Melanie Martinez were under the old system to get 7 and 4 points) with an aggressive banger which we've grown to like even more than 'Happiness', living for the German part in particular *.* Also getting their highest points ever (and first points for 33 contests #thedroughtisover) are Ramrynia, with Sirusho's Middle Eastern bop matching Krewella for the highest we've ranked one of their entries. - Yet another country getting their highest points to date (and by a long way, improving on the 3 we gave to their last entry), Summericia would have had an easy 18 on their hands here in many/most contests but unfortunately settle for 15 here. An immense and relentless witchy slayer here with more than a little bit of Crystal Castles undertones, backing this one to do big things in the contest.

- A very early likely contender for our end of year #1, Trifoski take our top points for only the second time (they also got our first top marks of 2015 with Yeasayer) with a song that couldn't be any more up our street, we knew we'd love this the second we saw they were described as 'intelligent dance music', such a weird and yet wonderful otherworldly bop that sounds much like something we'd send to Unknown Pleasures, no doubt the current #1 single on Mars *.* Slay us in every direction :cheeseblock:

Good evening Aeroche, thank you for a stunning show. This is Ricardo Delta calling live from The RTVN Concert Hall in Klurren with the results of the Rontvian vote. This month's votes have been decided entirely by an expert jury, as the phonelines in the country are undergoing refurbishment currently. The jury consists of Delta Goodrem, Ricardo Delta, Mary Keane (who was very sad not to qualify for the final), Hozier and ATB. It's been a very good final, even though lots of our favourites departed too early. We would like to offer commiserations to New Lexico and D'yermak'er, who came 16th and 17th in the vote and therefore just miss out on points.
