Neymar's goal record at international level is astonishing. 33 goals in 50 appearances for a 22 year old Croatia can count themselves unlucky with the disallowed goal and soft penalty, but I still expect them to qualify in 2nd place

FT: 3 Brazil [Neymar 29, 71 pen, Oscar 91] vs. 1 Croatia [Marcelo 11 OG]

    Soft penalty
  4. I've learnt not to judge a team 'on paper' after last summer Most fans seemed to be fawning over Tottenham's squad

    Love an underdog

    Underwhelming
  7. Glenn Hoddle
  8. That wasn't great. Missed a few chances, but overall struggled to break down 10 man Honduras We lacked pace, so Sterling should be nailed on to start vs. Italy
  9. Belgium are overrated in my opinion. They'll get out of the group with ease, but I wouldn't expect them to get anywhere near winning it as some are suggesting
  10. Predictions: Last 16 Brazil vs. Chile Colombia vs. England France vs. Nigeria Germany vs. Russia Spain vs. Croatia Italy vs. Ivory Coast Argentina vs. Switzerland Belgium vs. Portugal Quarter Finals Brazil vs. Colombia France vs. Germany Spain vs. Italy Argentina vs. Portugal Semi Finals Brazil vs. Germany Spain vs. Argentina Final Brazil vs. Spain Brazil win
  11. Oxlade-Chamberlain ruled out for between 10 days to 3 weeks. I guess they'll see how he progresses over the next few days. Changes due to injury can be made up until the day before the first group game, so next Friday will be the deadline Yeah I think Hodgson will go with Stones or Flanagan if needed as a replacement since they've been around the squad
  12. Eventful match. Finishes 2-2 vs. Ecuador The defence of Milner, Jones, Smalling and Shaw weren't great. Can't say I'd be very confident if any of our first choice defence were to get injured Lampard is past it and Wilshere could maybe show more of his quality if he didn't spend half of the match on the floor injured From those that started (Rooney not included), I'd say Barkley and Oxlade-Chamberlain were the only two that did enough to get themselves into the starting XI. Although, early rumours suggest that Oxlade-Chamberlain has ligament damage Lambert did well for his goal, so could be a good option if needed from the bench Sterling's red card will probably count against him as he is likely to be suspended vs. Honduras. I doubt Hodgson would throw him in vs. Italy after not starting any of the warm up games We're probably looking at: Hart Johnson Jagielka Cahill Baines Gerrard Henderson ? Rooney ? Sturridge 2 positions to fill from Lallana, Welbeck, Barkley and probably Milner if Hodgson wants to go more defensive
  13. My pick would be Fred or Neymar
  14. I have them to finish bottom of their group
  15. Lambert is a no brainer really. Boyhood fan, who is willing to be 3rd/4th choice, low wages/transfer fee and it helps that he's scored his fair share of goals in recent years. He's essentially an upgrade on Aspas, who contributed very little last season
  16. Can I have 15 please
  17. Congratulations to our winner: Suedehead2 Prediction League 1. Suedehead2: 607 points 2. Sabrina: 548 points 3. Oliver: 192 points 4. 20. Press reporting that the squad will be: GK: Hart Foster Forster DF: Johnson Cahill Jagielka Jones Smalling Baines Shaw MF: Gerrard Lampard Henderson Wilshere Lallana Sterling Milner Oxlade-Chamberlain Barkley FW: Rooney Welbeck Sturridge Lambert Happy with that I actually thought Hodgson would have selected Cole simply because he would have been around as a standby otherwise, which would have been awkward in the initial training camp It makes sense to take Shaw though since the 2nd choice probably won't play, so the experience of being around the squad would be more valuable to him

  25. For all the 'Your only challenging because you don't have CL' shouts, most did still predict we'd finish outside of the top 4 (me including. Thought we'd finish 5th) Shows how much we've exceeded expectations to finish 2nd (probably)
