England out in the group stages for the 2nd year in a row thanks to a 3-1 defeat to Norway

It's difficult to expect anything from England with players like Sordell and Lowe in the starting XI Quite sad that we don't seem to take this competition seriously though. Despite already making the move up to the senior squad, it would have still been a good opportunity for players like Welbeck, Jones or Oxlaide-Chamberlain to gain tournament experience. Mata and Martinez were world cup winners when they dropped down to the U21's and then went on to win 2 summers ago Although, it'd probably be best to replace Hodgson and Pearce first before thinking about youth development. Pointless worrying about St Georges Park and teaching the Spanish style of playing when that soon changes to "hoof ball" with both managers

  4. 3rd at best? I actually think they'll be title contenders with the right investment Man City also with a new manager and Man United under Moyes will hardly be miles ahead
  5. Safety issues at the Maracana? How do they plan to stage the Confederations cup in a few weeks then?

Not the biggest Jessie fan, but I completely understand her reaction to Liam not being chosen. Easily my favourite audition

    Robbie Kennedy = Borefest
  8. I actually think he'll play a fair bit next season. Nani, Young and Valencia haven't exactly had great seasons
  9. Crystal Palace promoted

Will anyone be watching this next month? Group A: Italy, England, Norway, Israel Group B: Russia, Germany, Spain, Netherlands England have managed to avoid the "group of death", so I'd expect them to make the semi-final at least England 23 man squad Goalkeepers: Declan Rudd [Norwich], Jack Butland [stoke], Jason Steele [Middlesbrough] Defenders: Steven Caulker [Tottenham], Craig Dawson [West Brom], Tom Lees [Leeds], Andre Wisdom [Liverpool], Nathaniel Clyne [southampton], Adam Smith [Tottenham], Danny Rose [Tottenham], Jack Robinson [Liverpool] Midfielders: Nathaniel Chalobah [Chelsea], Jordan Henderson [Liverpool], Henri Lansbury [Nottingham Forest], Jason Lowe [blackburn], Jonjo Shelvey [Liverpool], Josh McEachran [Chelsea] Forwards: Tom Ince [blackpool], Nathan Redmond [birmingham], Wilfried Zaha [Man United], Connor Wickham [sunderland], Marvin Sordell [bolton], Nathan Delfouneso [Aston Villa]
  11. Haha and I hadn't updated for weeks Still having Suarez as my captain whilst he was on the bench wasn't a great move
  12. Yes he is
  13. Personally I think Henderson is more deserving of a call up than both. He'll probably get more of an opportunity once the U21 tournament is over though as he'll be too old to play for them in the next campaign
  14. Jack Rodwell called into squad. Tom Cleverley withdrawn Has Rodwell really impressed enough this season to be called up? Would have thought he'd have gone with the U21's to Israel instead
  15. 1. Man City 2. Man United 3. Chelsea 4. Arsenal 5. Tottenham 6. Everton 7. Newcastle 8. Swansea 9. Liverpool 10. Sunderland 11. Fulham 12. West Ham 13. West Brom 14. QPR 15. Wigan 16. Stoke 17. Southampton 18. Norwich 19. Reading 20. Aston Villa Well at least I got the top four fight correct? Liverpool also managed to finish 2 places better than my prediction. Next season I'll obviously be predicting a 3rd place finish for us

  20. Chelsea vs. Everton 2-1 Liverpool vs. QPR 3-0 Man City vs. Norwich 2-0 Newcastle vs. Arsenal 1-3 Southampton vs. Stoke 2-1 Swansea vs. Fulham 2-0 Tottenham vs. Sunderland 3-1 West Brom vs. Man United 0-2 West Ham vs. Reading 2-1 Wigan vs. Aston Villa 1-1
  21. Quite a small squad considering both games are friendlies. Thought Hodgson may have wanted to experiment a little I guess he has in his mind the players that he wants involved in the qualifiers and therefore wants to use these games as preparation rather than look at new players. We're light in central midfield, but you'd expect Gerrard and Wilshere to be selected in the next squad Has Oxlaide-Chamberlain really done well enough to be selected in every senior squad though? I would have sent him with the U21's to Israel this summer instead. Phil Jones too
  22. Another money making scheme. Head to head would make more sense, which Chelsea would win
  23. He's become a parody of himself
