  1. The fact that Appleton was hired in the first place is even more of a surprise than him being sacked. Average manager

  3. Rio Ferdinand withdrawn Steven Caulker called up from the U21's as his replacement
  4. Aaron Lennon and Michael Dawson withdrawn Joleon Lescott called up as a replacement
  5. Europa League Draw: Chelsea vs. Rubin Kazan Tottenham vs. FC Basel Fenerbahce vs. Lazio Benfica vs. Newcastle
  6. Should be quite straight forward for Real Madrid and Dortmund Barcelona and Bayern will also be favourites, but it depends which team turns up. Bayern were awful in the second leg vs. Arsenal whilst Barcelona weren't great vs. AC Milan in the first
  7. Champions League Draw: Malaga vs. Borussia Dortmund Real Madrid vs. Galatasaray PSG vs. Barcelona Bayern Munich vs. Juventus

  9. I wouldn't have picked both Osman and Parker. Once the U21 tournament is over we'll hopefully see a few of those players promoted to the squad instead Hodgson would probably find it hard to argue that the squad is based on recent form too. Young, Smalling, Oxlade-Chamberlain? to name a few..

  13. Roy Keane must be the Man United version of Mark Lawrenson. Should really be sticking up for the club, but uses every opportunity to throw a dig in instead

  16. Please no. Right Now is one of my least favourite songs on the album
  17. People will dismiss it as another "Rafa rant", but he does speak sense. He'll be gone at the end of the season, whereas the fans are the ones that will suffer next season if they don't qualify for champions league. How can you support a team and yet still want a manager to fail? It doesn't really work
  18. I don't see how a player of the season award where voting takes place before the season ends can be seen as credible Gareth Bale will probably win based on a purple patch rather than for consistency throughout the season
