Yes but they're singing about the breakup of a love affair - not exactly something to smile about

Bananarama - Love Don't Live Here
Love Don't Live Here is an epic masterpiece, one of the best songs they've ever done - in retrospect they should have done it as the first single. Whilst I actually liked Love Comes myself it's one fault was the video, they should keep their trademark dance routines in them. Now, assuming that Love Don't Live Here is to be the next single I would hope that it's more a performance based one - love the hand touching parts 'Gone Gone Gone'. Were this the 80's I'd have thought that Love would be single No 2 with Dum Dum Boy being the third. I would hope that they'd manage to get a performance slot of something like Dancing On Ice and go for a February release of this. Saw them at the Relentless Garage earlier this month at their album winners concert where they were fantastic - not only great songs but great comics too with great timing as this clip of them performing 'Extraordinary' that I've put up shows :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4P6Ui_K_vk

Went to their concert at the Relentless Garage on Monday night, they were great - also good stand up comics too, particularly at the end of their performance of Extraordinary - have put up some of their stuff on You Tube. Yes, now that I've learnt the LDLH routine

Bananarama "Love Comes"
They did a great performance of Love Don't Live Here today on Alan Titchmarsh show. Their version of The Sound Of Silence is one of those songs that could do well around Christmas time as a single, as it's not something you'd expect from the Nanas

Bananarama "Love Comes"
Love Don't Live Here is an epic masterpiece - they're performing it on the Alan Titchmarsh show on ITV next Tuesday, I'm not sure if that's any indication of that being the next single.

Where's Love Comes by Bananarama this week?
-
Bananarama "Love Comes"
Not as gutted as me - well maybe slightly more. I thought it was quite a good comeback single personally. If there's to be another single from the album I'd hope that they'd go for Dum Dum Boy, which seeing as they performed that at GAY and Manchester Pride would indicate that that might have been their plan. 'Viva' is a stronger album than Drama - but as you say their albums aren't strong sellers, well here's hoping....

Heartbroken that it only made No 44 - that's probably my brief resurrected interest in the charts for the first time in a few years over and done with.

My thoughts exactly - if it was becuse someone was asian, chinese, black or gay, everyone would be up in arms about it.

Bananarama "Love Comes"
I am with you on that one - I got the Love Comes CD and two 7" singles picture discs - so much more rewarding to own than a computer file, actually feels like you're getting something for your money. My Viva album arrived in the post today, made my day, wasn't expecting it to arrive early.

I know, they must have some pictures in their attics.

Bananarama "Love Comes"
No worries No way does it make me want to puke  :) - after Abba they're my favourites of all time. They've always had that 'f*** off' attitude which I've always liked about them, have that amatuerish style which has always struck a chord with me. They'd not get past the audition stages of the X Factor if they were starting out now, but they have that certain something and can knock out a classy pop tune (in my opinion) usually with a naff dance routine (which I also love) Pop should be for everyone, I was over the moon when Cliff Richard got to No 1 with Millennium Prayer, despite that fact that I didn't like the song, purely because of the ageism shown against him. Anyway I'll be following the charts this week for the first time in a few years - not even sure if songs still don't go up in the second week nowdays.

Bananarama "Love Comes"
I honestly can't understand that point of view guys. I know you can't answer because you know who's singing it - but if you heard the song without knowing who it was or what the singers looked like - then the age of the singers wouldn't come into it, you'd either like it or not like it. Anyway, I'm a 43 year old who's loved the Nanas since their first song (can't believe that at the time that I thought the Belle Stars would outlast them) and I think it's a great song.
