Her career retrospective Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection is well placed to become her sixth #1 on the chart. She’s tipped to knock off the likes of Billie Eilish (12 weeks on the chart), as well as other heavyweights Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and P!NK. The Aussie has topped the chart with Fever (2001), Kiss Me Once (2014), Light Years (2000), X (2007) and last year’s Golden, as well as 12 additional Top 10 albums since 1989’s Kylie peaked at #2. Kylie fever is ramping up worldwide, blowing away a massive Glastonbury crowd. It was an emotional performance, with the singer originally billed to headline the festival in 2005 but was forced to pull out after being diagnosed with breast cancer. BBC reports that her set had the biggest crowd of the weekend, and her Sunday evening set also had the highest TV audience. According to midweek data, The Black Keys’ new LP Ley’s Rock and Chris Brown’s Indigo are also tilting at Top 5 album debuts.

her album is back to nbr 1 on itunes so it is generating sales for sure, I know its just a gimmick now and doesn't translate into big numbers but its still a good sign that shes's doing so well on downloads, I'm sure with streaming numbers she will still be ahead and nab her 7th nbr 1 album this week. Imagine if this was 2020! A nbr 1 album in 5 consecutive decades!!! In all cases, this last decade would have been the one she got the most number 1 albums with 3 between 2010 and 2019... What an achievement for a pop teen act that started in the 80s on the back of a TV soap...

I like the song its very catchy, my sister sang it with my nephew and put the video on instagram and tagged kylie and Kylie commented that they are so cute, shes so sweet, this I will never forget when I hear Dancing. But anyway, for me if it didnt leak and was released with physicals on the same week the song had a good chance of landing in the top 20/30...

She was sweet to me, I told her i flew all the way to Paris from Beirut just to see her and she was like woooo raised her hands and said omgggg to me alll smiles... Its just moments you don't forget. The next day she had a french tv show live performance, she sang 3 songs live from new album, once again i was lucky enough to make my way in and be part of the audience, we were like 10 people standing in the studio and she was just in front of us, as she started singing Into the blue i was miming and screaming to her she noticed me and just sang part of the 2nd verse while looking at me directly to my eyes... She was sweet made me feel special, I love her a lot. I know its out of topic but I felt like sharing this with you just to point out how sweet she is with her fans.

She also did a signing for Kiss me Once in release week but in Paris and I was lucky enough to be in PAris that week and meet her face to face and speak with her a few words and of course get her signature... I don't think she will do any signing this time though with HMV oxford branch closed.

It will be exciting times again, can't wait, btw Spice Girls moved their release date of their picture vinyl greatest hits disc to 28th of June... They wouldn't be a threat I guess but just for info.

I think they are waiting for the summer shows to be over to release the dvd and riding on the wave of Glastonbury, I think it would be a nice strategy not to release it now... Not releasing it at all would be a missed opportunity for cashing in and pleasing the fans.

For me, Into the blue was a nice song, felt outdated though more like a 2009 song, but I liked the lyrics, the vocals... Here is how they messed up its release: Video was very weak and disappointing, they released the song and then did TV promotion for it, not on the same week, that itunes incident... Physicals were released impact week? No idea, anyway she missed her chance at a last top 10 before the charts were changed with streaming etc... Regarding the album: For me like most of you, I loved into the blue and les sex, much less the rest... I was gonna cancel was a disaster, kiss me once the song is not bad itself and sexercize is meh. I think the rest of the songs are still stronger than album tracks on body language though. Regarding the era: Kylie still looked fantastic, styling was very nice and fresh and young, she just was amazingly beautiful during this era, her body super toned, her face like a 30 something and her style was nice. I met her at the album signing at Paris in March at the Fnac, I was so lucky to be able to get in and be in Paris by chance at the time, told her I came all the way from Beirut and she just raised her hands and said wooooohooooo :) Then I saw her right in front of me at the Canal plus studios when she sang 3 songs of the album, I was right in front of her, I saw her sing into the blue, sexercize and les sex live and it was magic, she just looked into my eyes and sang to me the second verse of into the blue because I was miming the lyrics with her, it was a special moment. Finally I saw her on tour in Barcelona that year, the tour was a downer compared to Aphrodite but still it was awesome, the arena was half empty but I had a front row view on the catwalk and it was a great memory. Overall I cannot dislike this era, afterall made me see her face to face and I have fond memories of it, the diversity of the songs on Golden, easily beats it, but hey the album would have gotten to nbr 1 on any other week of the quarter it was released in and a good strategy would have landed her another top 10 single, so it wasn't that bad, the marketing and management behind it was.

Dancing has Gold status in Australia for 35K sold, not bad!

That body language album was the worst step in her career from single choices to song choices... I mean refusing a song like toxic for some songs on that album??! I guess she was drunk on success and sunk down, many people came back with her single I believe in you which was a great return for her and a great airlay success plus a quality title with mainstream appeal... The formula of this song was rehashed and All the lovers was created which was a great song and instant classic. Dancing was a clever lead single this time around, if it was released properly with single and physical impact on same week with Tv performance it would have been a top 20 hit for her, although the song suffered from bad production in my opinion.
