Russia was probably the best ever, especially during Portugal's entry. I didn't think the song was all that great but the graphics made it memorable. It's interesting looking at stages from older Eurovisions when the technology to do things like this wasn't there. '79, '84, '87 and '92 were all revolutionary back in their day. 2003 was impressive too and Russia seemed to model themselves on that one.

I loved Morton Harket from '96. Best is probably Lill Lindfors from 1985, worst is definitely Toto Cutagno from 1991 (look the voting up on Youtube, total train wreck!) although Marlene Charrell from 1983 was pretty bad too.
