  1. Well, Davidson made a very valid point, as did you, Bre and torresgirl. Nobody is wrong or delusional here. Get over yourself too -- this is a discussion board. Thanks and bye.
  2. Why don't you just say 'MrIndependent is being so blind here it's unreal'? As if I'd be offended. Ignorance is never a good trait.
  3. Well, because the ad only features a snippet of the song for starters and most of all, so no, it isn't silly. And with Coldplay's fall, there you go, she is back up to #5. We're done with this. ;)
  4. Yes, I know :P, but many people who have heard the advert probably don't take any interest in looking it up despite how many times it's being forced down our ears on TV. If it doesn't move up and increase its pop bar after her XF perfrormance, we can scream and shout about it. I know you were joking, but her one place fall to #6 during an on air on sale release is really nothing to mention. :P
  5. And my point is that the advert doesn't say what the song or who the song is by. How many people do you really think would look it up online? Most people would rather make themselves look silly and post a status along the lines of 'OMZG WHO'S THAT SONG ON DA ASDA ADVERT BY ON DA TELE!!!11!!!' It doesn't matter anyway. It will be #2 tonight with a handsome lead.
  6. MrIndependent posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
This is the best NOW compilation in a long time. I used to collect all of them but stopped after the 77th volume because I thought they were turning stale, which is probably a reflection of today's music industry and our generation, but I am actually interested in purchasing this one.
  7. LOL SORRY. My computer is playing up.
  8. That's nothing unusual at all. It has nothing to do with her underperformance.
  9. Sure -- the song she performed not publicly and the advert where 'FLEUR EAST SAX' appears on the screen in large, white letters. Sure.
  10. Didn't vote any time before but I'll do this now. :D I've only ranked positions for FI, LJ & MN for the competition before the live shows because they're the only ones that stood out to me as those who in fact have The X Factor, are talented and can sell records. Acts are listed from my favourite to least favourite. Fourth Impact 01-01-05 Louisa 03-02-02 Mason 02-03-04 Che 06-01 Seann 04-07 Kiera 09-08 Anton 06-11 Lauren 07-06 [bupsi 12] Reggie n' Bollie 08-02 Monica 05-10 Max 10-11 [Alien 13]
  11. In my list of what I think the public voting will look like, I can't decide whether Anton or Mason will get more votes. Neither of them, I feel, are in any real danger of being in the bottom three: if Mason could survive week one he will survive this week after giving a (admittedly not perfect) much more professional performance than last week. I could see him doing that type of smooth R&B music alongside the current songs reminiscent of today's demographic in his own career. Alongside Fourth Impact and Louisa, he's one of my favourite contestants for sure, and admist all the people who are painting him out to be a villian (he isn't; he made a mistake -- a mistake that admittedly made him look like a complete fool), he seems to honestly be quite popular and appeals to a voting audience who watch X Factor. My list of acts from favourite to least favourite based on the two live shows as well as everything from the auditions, bootcamp and judges' houses: 01 Fourth Impact 02 Louisa 03 Mason 04 Che 05 Seann [GAP] 06 Kiera (who's being really unfairly treat by the judges) 07 Anton (despite giving the worst performance in X Factor history tonight ) 08 Lauren [09 Bupsi] [GAP] 10 Reggie n' Bollie 11 Monica 12 Max [13 Alien]
  12. Lauren was okay. Fine vocals, really dull girl and seems fake tbh. Bottom FIVE: Anton (PLEASE FFS) Max Kiera Monica Reggie n' Bollie Anton and Rn'B have the least chance out of those of being bottom three. This is how I think the public voting table will look: 1 Che 2 Louisa 3 4th Impact 4 Seann 5 Lauren 6 Mason 7 Anton 8 Reggie n' Bollie 9 Monica 10 Kiera (OUT) 11 Max (OUT) In an ideal world, Anton would be #30.
  13. Reggie n' Bollie -- love them. 10 Che 09 Reggie n' Bollie 08 Louisa 08 Mason 07 Fourth Impact 05 Seann 04 Kiera 03 Monica 02 Max 01 Anton
  14. I still haven't heard the full song purposely because I might get sick of the advert. As for the few acts I didn't comment on: Fourth Impact -- Had all the greatness of their usual performances but it was off-key and I don't think they'll get as many votes as they might have last week. Mason -- see above. Anton -- Rubbish to the core. His good vocal got him that one out of ten. Kiera -- She put in much more effort than usual but she's just so dull. You guys probably think that I am harsh, but at this stage they need more than a good voice. A good voice gets the act a 1, in my ratings.
  15. Not sure why more people didn't like Mason's performance. In my opinion, it was much more professional than last week, and just much better all around. I could see him doing that kind of smooth R&B sound in his own career.
  16. Max -- Far too similar to last week. One for the bottom three, I think. 10 Che 08 Louisa 08 Mason 07 Fourth Impact 05 Seann 04 Kiera 03 Monica 02 Max 01 Anton
  17. Monica -- not enough sass and attitude to pull this off, as I expected when I saw the song choices. Don't like the arrangement or her silly vocal techniques. Really poor. 10 Che 08 Louisa 08 Mason 07 Fourth Impact 05 Seann 04 Kiera 03 Monica 01 Anton
  18. Thanks, Joseph! Rita is so terrible.
  19. That Love Me Like You Do acoustic was lovely. Do we know whether this week will be a double elimination or not?
  20. Seann -- warbling and too much theatric. 10 Che 08 Louisa 08 Mason 07 Fourth Impact 05 Seann 04 Kiera 01 Anton
  21. I don't like that Louisa is trying to be a pop star when she isn't one. Still, excellent performance. Her vocal runs need to be toned down, though, which will be an unpopular opinion. 10 Che 08 Louisa 08 Mason 07 Fourth Impact 04 Kiera 01 Anton
  22. 10 Che 08 Mason 07 Fourth Impact 04 Kiera 01 Anton
  23. He's pretty much guaranteed to sell considerably more than that. Can't see him doing less than 60k at the very least, but I'm still thinking it'll be in between the 75-90k band with a very good chance of him getting nearer to the top of that. Still think that people are underestimating 1D and Kylie too (though I agree with Joe that she'll sell more copies going into Christmas; it will probably sell really consistently in comparison to her last few releases) but in my previous prediction post I have certainly overestimated Ben. 30k at the most if he's lucky, with Ed easily outselling him. Eva Cassidy will be in the top ten too, I think. Little Mix probably won't stay top five and Miss Goulding will lose her top ten position, with Sam Smith also climbing above her next week.
