  1. Hold Back The River is #2 combined; I expect it to build up a lead ahead of Lay Me Down and King starting from tomorrow with Chaos and the Calm's release which may give the song additional promo. As a few of you have probably gathered from previous posts, I love Ed but I can't see Bloodstream hitting #1 next week; I don't think a lot of people know about it to be honest however that could change with the music video coming today. It has only had two weeks of airplay. I think top five is likely, though.

James is up to #2 and #48. I doubt he will sell +100k.
  3. Top 20
  4. Also special mention to City Games which should have never been left off any edition of Body Language. :(
  5. I Feel For You is excellent. After Dark
  6. Not bad at all! I do think that Ghosttown is her best shot at getting another hit. There are a number of songs on Rebel Heart that are hit-worthy, but we live in an ageist society where radio won't play them. Ghosttown is however getting decent radio updates in the US so I don't see why it wouldn't over here.
  7. They don't compliment the overall sound of the album. Illuminati isn't an easy listen but it's one of the best produced songs on the album and Inside Out has excellent lyrics; I've seen a few users on other forums say it could be a single. Hold Tight has a strong melody. However I agree that Veni Vidi Vici and Rebel Heart should be on the standard edition.
  8. Graffiti Heart is underrated.

Her performance of Joan of Arc was lovely, excellent vocals. It must be a single at some point.
  10. YAS! Going for a new peak this week and then top five next week following the release of the album.
  11. Poor Autotune Baby. Body Shop was such a WTF moment for me at first but I appreciate the world instruments, the production is great and I've grown to like how she uses her voice in the verses.
  12. It could potentially end up at #6; Marina will probably fall below it and the gap between #7 and #8 is too grand for it to fall any lower. Not looking to be a bad second week at all. MDNA dropped 1-7 with a significantly larger percentage drop than Rebel Heart is looking at.
  13. Due to the grandness of the album I can't even consider doing an individual track rank so I'll do the following instead; I honestly think there are only two fillers out of the whole twenty-five songs but I have listened to the album in full fourteen times since its release last Monday. Great Living For Love Devil Pray Ghosttown Unapologetic Bitch Illuminati (UNDERRATED.) Hold Tight Joan of Arc Heartbreak City Holy Water Inside Out Wash All Over Me Veni Vidi Vici Messiah Rebel Heart Queen Addicted Graffiti Heart Good Bitch I'm Madonna Iconic Body Shop Best Night Beautiful Scars Borrowed Time Average S.E.X. Autotune Baby I think the album's largest problem is not the amount of tracks but the way in which the tracklist is structured; if the songs were shuffled around a bit it would make for a steadier and more coherent listen. However it is nonetheless absolutely stellar and many of the songs are about as good as anything she could do. Far, far better than the average Hard Candy and MDNA records. EDiT: forgot about Queen. -_-
  14. I would release the following singles after Ghosttown: Devil Pray Iconic Joan of Arc Addicted could be a single too, however with it being a super deluxe track I doubt it would be, and I can envision great videos for Veni Vidi Vici and Illuminati too.

I don't think Kendrick will sell many physicals. It's common for Urban and Hip-Hop acts to sell very well digitally. I'm not sure if he will be #1 officially, and I don't think Marina will be either.
  16. It is a shame that this has happened with her best album in a long while. Had it been Hard Candy and/or MDNA I wouldn't have minded. She missed out because of bad timing, though. I think the album could potentially have more consistency than MDNA.
  17. Fabulous topic, Liam! Thanks for posting and also to all those involved in compiling the data. Nothing Really Matters sold +70k to hit #7! :o What was the reason for such high sales in this particular week, does anybody know?

  19. I'm really excited for this special. Two of my favourite Madonna interviews are the Jonathan Ross ones during the Erotica and American Life eras; they have great chemistry together.
  20. In HMV? Hopefully this is a sign that the sale is helping. :D
  21. :D :D I echo those saying that it's time for her to come out with something experimental. She's been in the dance/pop zone for 15 years now and although Body Language and X are creative she hasn't done anything as surprising as in her Deconstruction days. I do think that there was some creative material at the beginning of the Kiss Me Once sessions with Garibay but for whatever reason the recordings became more generic some way through.
  22. Great! I miss them; they and M have a great chemistry together. On another note, I hope that they are practising Rain means that it has a chance of being included on the tour. Madonna has paid dust to it for so long now.
  23. Hahaha but why don't you like them? It's an uncommon and intriguing opinion. :P
  24. May I ask what it is about Ray of Light that you really don't like? :P
  25. I added up the scores of the ten lists including all thirteen of her studio albums, and got the following list (from favourable to least favourable; maximum score 130): 1 Ray of Light 108 2 Confessions on a Dance Floor 101 3 Like a Prayer 94 4 True Blue 84 5 American Life 81 6 Erotica 71 7 Rebel Heart 70 8 Music 69 9 Like a Virgin 57 10 Bedtime Stories 48 11 Madonna 47 13 Hard Candy 43 13 MDNA 43 Hard Candy received more higher scores than MDNA. Bedtime Stories being so low, and True Blue being that high, makes my eyes sore.
