Best Pwl Album
My ranking/thoughts on each: 1 Rhythm of Love What makes this so much stronger than the others is that, whilst there are a range of instruments that are experimented with here, a consistent style is moulded throughout the album and it makes for a solid record on the whole rather than simply a few great singles hovering around some less-than-stellar album fillers. It's mature dance-pop and honestly I don't think I can fault any of the songs. Instrumentation, production and lyrics are always very strong. 2 Let's Get To It I feel like this gets treat a bit unfairly based on what I've read from the posts in this forum. It's an adventurous offering from Kylie as she experimented with R&B, balladry and techno but as a result it feels disjointed as an album. The songs for the most part are strong, though, and there are some great b-sides: Say the Word, I'll Be There, Do You Dare? and Closer, although the latter two songs are largely instrumental techno songs in the same vein of I Guess I Like It and I think putting them all on the album would have alienated and confused fans more than it did around the time. Underrated and ambitious record, though, despite being patchwork. 3 Kylie Standard 80s pop cheese. Not much to really say about it. Again a good album on the whole -- it encompasses late 80s pop music and Kylie's earlier days in all its living glory. 4 Enjoy Yourself The only below average one for me and I think for many others too. There are too many ballads that weaken this one and the annoying thing is that she recorded some good b-sides during this era, particularly Just Wanna Love You and We Know the Meaning of Love, that could have replaced the weaker songs. On the whole it feels quite thin and empty.

Ronson makes $100k a week from 'Uptown Funk' Spotify streams
Yeah, I don't believe this in the slightest.

Best Pwl Album
Bump! Nice to see Rhythm of Love deservingly having the most votes! :cheer: It's by far the best. Consistent and creative, and such a cohesive dance-pop album. One of her best altogether.

When will 'Thinking Out Loud' leave the Top 40?
Out of the options available I went for the end of October. It's difficult to predict, though, because who knows what promotional advantages could push it back up the charts. I didn't go with August because X Factor starts then and I've no doubt that it will be prominently featured throughout the show.

Streaming to count towards albums chart
As long as there is a sales-only chart and Music Week and the OCC still publish the totals of pure sales (Billboard and Soundscan have stopped doing this), I'm fine with this decision because album sales are shockingly low and I fail to see how they will improve in the coming years. The album-buying business is not so good, but the music business, in which streaming is becoming a huge part of, is better than ever, and I feel like it's only right that this is reflected in the charts.

Bloodstream, both in its original and remixed forms, is fantastic. Nothing else needs to be said. It's so high already. The original is #486.

Debut Albums: Madonna vs. Kylie Survivor
I voted for Think of Me and Love At First Sight. Madonna's album is better, and then from their first 'eras', if you like, Rhythm of Love is leaps and bounds ahead of True Blue; Like a Prayer is stronger than Let's Get to It even though both albums are solid and reprsented an adventurous shift in sound for both artists. That leaves the equally weak Enjoy Yourself and Like a Virgin, which are both artists' least appealing efforts with some great singles and a lot of filler album tracks.

PWL Albums Being Re-issued
I ordered the 2CD/DVD deluxe sets way back in August and have eagerly anticipated their release since. I love the presentation and designs of them; the Rhythm of Love one is particularly nice with the glossy, gold 'Kylie' font.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2015
Gregory Porter's album moves from #39 to #9 following his Graham Norton appearance with a couple of other versions of it in the top one-hundred as well.

Living For Love ● Single #1
The video is excellent. Better than all the Hard Candy and MDNA videos.

Why Didn't You Make It?
Ocean Blue probably is out of place, lol, but if she wanted to stick a ballad in there then Ocean Blue would have been the much better choice. I'm So High I don't think is out of place; it's a good companion to Kids which is placed right after it.

Shoulda been a single!
I think Impressive Instant not being a single is one of the biggest missed opportunities of Madonna's entire career. What happened was her record label thought that the track was too risky, perhaps they thought it was a bit left-field -- I don't know -- and they wanted to release Amazing instead. Madonna thought that the track was too similar to Beautiful Stranger (she wasn't wrong), and the record label were going to take a live performance of Amazing from Drowned World 2001 and promote it as a music video without Madonna's consent. To prevent this from happening, she removed it from the setlist, which I find totally hilarious. Anyway, there aren't any album tracks from her first four albums that I'd want as singles. Erotica: Why's It So Hard?; Thief of Hearts which would have had a kick-ass video. Bedtime Stories: possibly Sanctuary. Ray of Light: Sky Fits Heaven. It's criminal that this wasn't released. Music: see above. American Life: Nothing Fails however this was released as a single in some countries, but I'd have liked a video. Confessions on a Dance Floor: Forbidden Love. Nothing in particular from Hard Candy. MDNA: I Don't Give a instead of Gimme All Your Luvin', one of her weakest single releases, and Gang Bang for a video.

Why Didn't You Make It?
Honourable mentions to other b-sides that I really enjoy: Tears from Impossible Princess. Fantastic electronic track. Paper Dolls and Ocean Blue from Light Years. The latter would make a good replacement for Bittersweet Goodbye which is quite out of place, and Paper Dolls is a gorgeous song but it also doesn't really fit the tone of the album. I like the other four songs from Fever (Boy, Harmony, Baby, Never Spoken), but I think Kylie made the right decision to leave them off the album. Soul On Fire from Body Language. Again, lovely song which doesn't complement the overall mood of that record. I think a lot of the b-sides and unreleased tracks from the X era are overrated. Bite me.

Why Didn't You Make It?
I Just Wanna Love You which I think was recorded during the Enjoy Yourself era. In any case, it's one of her only fantastic PWL b-sides along with Say the Word, I'll Be There. Love Takes Over Me and Take Me With You from Impossible Princess. Tightrope from Fever but not in place of anything (it, Good Like That, Rendesvouz At Sunset and Whenever You Feel Like It all could have been on a deluxe edition if they were a thing back in 2001). Cruise Control, City Games, You Make Me Feel and Slo Motion also could have been on a deluxe edition of Body Language. (I bring up deluxe editions for Fever and Body Language because I think the standard albums are fine as they are, and they are structured incredibly well.) Rippin' Up the Disco, Magnetic Electric and Cherry Bomb from X. Mighty Rivers from Aphrodite. I love Heartstrings but I don't think it's a necessity to the album. Sparks deserved to be a track on all editions of Kiss Me Once, as did Sleeping With the Enemy.

It is? I was simply pointing out how 90% of the posters here feel about the song. :P Happy to see Outlines top five and FourFiveSeconds holding strongly; I admit that I was wondering whether it would hold up given the generally mixed or disappointed responses that the song has received.

Spotify Chart Thread 2015, Part I
People are raving over Sugar yet poor Katy Perry's Birthday was a flop. I don't understand especially since Animals, which I think is more interesting and appealing, flopped. I don't think the video is anything extra special. Really high debut for Ellie already! :o I can definitely see it climbing to #2 in a few days given how many streams it currently has and it could top Uptown Funk too.

Kylie's Australian Airplay Chart History
Hi everyone. :) I'm wondering if anybody has a list of Kylie's Australian Airplay peaks or if anyone knows where I could find this information? I realise that this is rare information to track -- I can only find her positions and runs for the official Australian chart. Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help -- I'm very grateful.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2015
Fall Out Boy and Mark Ronson will be battling it out for the #1 album next week. The former act has more impressive pre-orders, which will probably put them in the running in the first midweek update, however I think the latter act will have larger post-release sales and will hold up more impressively as the week progresses.

Take Me to Church will probably climb into the top ten before Hozier's Graham Norton appearance. Either way, it will provide a really big boost for the track. Radio 1 re-adding the track to their playlist has certainly helped -- it's climbing rather quickly.
