The Weeknd's album is out of stock on Amazon so not only is that not a good representation of how it could be selling but it also suggests that physical copies may still be getting produced. I don't think the label started pressing physicals of the record until late. What a mess. As suggested elsewhere in the thread he isn't a strong physical seller and I don't think his Amazon sales would add much to his overall total anyway.

Do you have a link? I can't find the tweet saying this anywhere. I hope that means he's climbed into the top three or at least is headed in that direction.

Great for Little Mix. Any news on how Busted and The Weeknd are doing, Joe? Thanks in advance.

That's a disappointing but unsurprising position for The Weeknd's album. With the physicals not hitting shelves until today and the fact that this time of the year the album charts are very dependent on physical sales, I'm not shocked that other albums that have been doing well physically are ahead of him. I can see the record settling into a top five position in the finish though. I think he chose the wrong time of the year to release.
  5. The Power of Goodbye EDIT: to win. I vote out Frozen. Can you change my vote please?

  7. My favourite song from Ray of Light and one of my most loved Madonna songs altogether leaves this round! :( Frozen again.
  8. In regards to the comparisons between Lemonade and BEYONCE, I think that the visuals from the former are absolutely stronger than the music videos from the latter. Musically, the songs on Lemonade are more varied and explore a wider range of styles than those on BEYONCE, but I think the self-titled effort is more consistent throughout in quality. But both albums are pretty much career highlights; it's amazing how much she grew with her last two albums (and also with 4, to a lesser extent).
  9. Sandcastles and especially Love Drought are underrated. I need an instrumental of Love Drought, amazing production; and the chorus on that song is particularly beautiful, such a stunning melody.

  12. We don't know what kind of lead it might have by tomorrow. It's picking up on streaming. Pretty sure it will be a #1 eventually, and possibly a long runner.

  15. Nothing Really Matters I'm surprised that Skin has left as early as it did and I'll also be shocked if Sky Fits Heaven goes in this round. How boring it would be to have the final five all be the singles.

Really good album sales for Drake. Interesting that Lemonade sold just 17k from Friday to Sunday and 14k yesterday alone. Its sales on a day to day basis are quite inconsistent, then; it's hard to predict what it might sell for the rest of the week. I think it could climb back to #1 in its third week, though, based on it outselling Views yesterday; and since there is more demand and higher pre-orders for the physical release than there is for Views.

  21. I don't think all five Beyonce songs that are in the top 40 now will remain there tomorrow with the songs now falling on iTunes and missing streaming data to be added. Fantastic sales for Lemonade. I hope she does a conventional release with her next album, though; imagine what this album's first week units could have been with a full tracking week and a widespread release.
