Predict - Top 5 Best Selling Albums of 2014
Interesting to see people's predictions at the start of the year. I think Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith as the top two are set in stone, and I think Take That's sales will be extremely disappointing given how their pre-order has performed.

Don't up to #14

I'd like Barcelona to be released at some point -- it's my favourite song on the album and if Budapest could be a massively consistent seller then surely people will take to Barcelona. Cassy O' definitely needs a re-release; it's not like it set the charts on fire the first time around, but, as much as I love it, I'm not sure if Did You Hear the Rain? would be the right choice. I think Drawing Board or Stand By Your Gun with its disco-infused sound could sell the album.

Thanks ElectroBoy! Do you know where it was before the premiere? WOV has moved from 13-9 and 28-21 on iTunes Albums. :D And I agree, there are better choices than LTTM; I wanted Cassy O' to be the next single and thought that was the most logical choice, however this will do well. I'd love for it to go top 10 but I think top 20 is reasonable since more people may be drawn to the album.

Is George Ezra's Listen to the Man anywhere in the top 1500? Its music video premiered this morning and Wanted on Voyage has climbed a bit on iTunes albums. :D

Sunday Chart Predictions (Friday Update + Sales)
It passed the threshold on Sunday, actually -- 2,001,000, so I'm surprised it wasn't brought up in the Music Week report. Today's sales add another 2,000 to lift it to 2,003,000.

Sunday Chart Predictions (Friday Update + Sales)
I don't know if it's been posted, but Happy has officially sold over 2 million copies. If the OCC post this news (which they should -- only a handful of singles have done this) then it could climb some more.

Those sales for Tayor are completely realistic IMO. She had huge pre-orders. Great for Ed too. I hope x has had a great sales increase. :D

It's strange though because Sing, which a snippet was played of in his video intro, has stalled while Don't is still increasing.

Why is Don't #19? Is it being used somewhere? Edit: well, it was #19 until Calvin's instant grats pushed it down to #22.

The two combined versions of TOL push AATB down to 78%. Lol bye.

Yes! I've always said that I think it sounds like a 70s country/soul song, very nostalgic.

Thinking Out Loud will be the most deserved #1 in a long time. And like Bre stated, its performance is amazing considering it has already sold so much. Great longevity. When all is said and done it will be Ed's signature song.

Don't 26 (35) Sing 29 (37)

The X Factor 2014 · Guest Performances + Chart Boosts
Ed's album is back up to #1. TOL has moved to 2 & 48 so far but LivePopBars hasn't updated so I don't know how much it's gained percentage-wise. Don't & Sing have both climbed as well. OneRepublic up 32-5 with Native and at 39 with I Lived.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2014
Ed back up to #1; OneRepublic at #5 I think Taylor will sell +80k.

The X Factor 2014 · Guest Performances + Chart Boosts
Native is currently at 32 on iTunes. Their performance was very good; I forgot how much I liked OneRepublic back in their Dreaming Out Loud days.
-
The X Factor 2014 · Guest Performances + Chart Boosts
Ed on iTunes: 3, 65 Thinking Out Loud 35 Don't 37 Sing 3, 8 x 38, 130 + If someone wants to do a OneRepublic update, go ahead.

^ Standard edition is also #8. Could he hold the top 2 positions again?

Yaaasss Edward killing it and the likelihood is that all three of his singles could climb next week as well following his X Factor appearance.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 19th October 2014
They're debating it because 1989's pre-orders are high and because when you consider them WTNY should be higher than #8. I'm convinced, like Ryan, that the pre-orders haven't been added to its tally.

Sunday Chart Predictions (Friday Update + Sales)
Useless piece of information: if Ed Sheeran's x holds on to the #4 position in albums, it will have charted at all the positions in the top six. The Queen of Music with her second-weakest album at 25... Who else? I wish it was Erotica or Bedtime Stories! Cheek to Cheek up to #16! Where are George Ezra, Ella Henderson, U2 and Jessie J in albums please?

Sunday Chart Predictions (Friday Update + Sales)
Ben Howard will be #1 in albums but I hope he has very respectable sales. I bought the album this morning. :D
