I think fans want some new pop music at this point. His set list hasn't changed much during the last tours. I still think an album will be out in spring.

There was an interview when the album came out. I don't remember exactly which one, so I'm paraphrasing and relying on a memory from 13 years ago. If I remember correctly he said it is about a group of people. And he cannot mention them by name or he would get in a lot of trouble.

 

My guess would be some yellow page newspaper or some organisation in the entertainment industry that got Robbie upset in some way. No other ideas.

 

The words he said at the UTR pajama party before playing Into the silence don't help either. He says: "Here is a song which encapsulates the spirit of us".

I've just seen better man again on digital. The land of 1000 dances contains about 20 references to Robbie Carrer. Even H.E.S. video is referenced in there! If you have time it is well worth watching this part again.

I went to the cinema today..with one goal...to salvage a promotional poster for Better man . Guess what? I got 5 of them! 😄

 

I decided then to see the Bob Dylan biopic...and I thought the movie was good but at the same time...so ordinary 😂. I'm a bit spoiled, you can tell.

Update, Better man is apparently still playing in Slovenia but only on weekends. Today's screening in Ljubljana is 80% full.

There was apparently no forbidden road in Calabash. I hope it is included on the new tour since the song had quite good crowd engagement on the smaller gigs. Better than Lost for example.

This movie is such a good thing that has happened. The promo is fantastic. And

will continue to be for months. People are still writing today on some social media this is astroturfing marketing campaign while there are fans writing the comments.

 

I hope he keeps connections to choreographers from better man, that could greatly enhance the live performances. I thought the Graham Norton rock DJ performance was one of the best he has done In years.

 

If it engages the late millennials and gen Z it could bridge a gap to the core fanbase. Fingers crossed 🤞 the movie will a big streaming hit, which was indicated by quite a few people now.

Someone mentioned there is a Robbie Williams song in Emilia Perez movie (13 oscar nominations). Apparently at around 40 minute mark 'Swing Supreme' can be heard in a scene in London.

That silly comment from Rob, "I'm coming down from Espressos ...." at the golden globes is trending on TikTok a bit. They are using the audio as a voiceover to impressionate Robbie being a diva. I don't understand Tiktok. I really don't. In the 90s, 00s you had to be good at something, now you can just be expressive and honest in a correct way and it works. And Robbie somehow plays it perfectly.

For anyone who wants an ever deeper dive in analytics (don't do it, take a break 😂). In Google trends search analytics, USA is the third most active country in the world using the search term "Robbie Williams' in the last 24h. After UK and Ireland and above Australia and New Zealand.

 

The movie is an absolute trigger fest inside and outside of the cinemas. The key here the movie being actually good and Robbie being an actual superstar for decades and unknown in the USA. Throw in a monkey and you have just triggered thousands of people.
