It is intentional. Staggered release to allow the positive word of mouth to spread. Some big European countries are getting a release only next week. It is one of the most bizarre marketing campaigns I've ever seen.

It think it might attract some fans but not the average general public. Like contrarians or the ones who support an 'underdog'. Or the ones who like a redemption arc. Maybe more geeks/nerds as well. I've seen the leaked knebworth scene being mixed with a pc game title and a fighting game sounds with Lynyrd Skynyrd free bird song as background, lol 😂. And it trended quite well in those circles.

For anyone who wants an ever deeper dive in analytics (don't do it, take a break 😂). In Google trends search analytics, USA is the third most active country in the world using the search term "Robbie Williams' in the last 24h. After UK and Ireland and above Australia and New Zealand. The movie is an absolute trigger fest inside and outside of the cinemas. The key here the movie being actually good and Robbie being an actual superstar for decades and unknown in the USA. Throw in a monkey and you have just triggered thousands of people.

Robbie is currently trending on X in the music category. About 5k posts. Mostly people who enjoyed the movie getting attacked that it is payed adds and vice versa. People who don't know who Robbie Williams getting called out. This is going on for weeks now 🤦‍♂️

US are apparently seriously thinking of shutting down TikTok in the next week or so. Glad that Robbie trended there for a bit. Imagine the last trend in the US being Americans not knowing Robbie 😂

This is it, the D-day! THIS. IS. IT!!!

The movie worked for him. Converted 😂. He recognised some of the songs at the beginning. Loved the choreography for Rock DJ. Emphasized with the perils of fame. He said he will be checking out the video of Robbie taunting Liam for a boxing match. Unexpectedly, I left out a tear during My way. They almost got me at Angels, but couldn't hold it in at the end. I wish the movie all the best for North America wide release. What a brave movie.

Im dragging a friend with me today to watch the movie. He says the monkey is off-putting and a marketing gimmick and expects the movie to be bad. He says he'll turn off the brains for 2 hours. Starts in 20 mins. Let's see what will be the reaction at the end
