Exactly my feelings on this song! I love it so much, I feel like the Strangeland era is so meaningful to me, because I can totally relate to the lyrics of the songs and it also coincides with a specific period of changes in my life. It is quite special. This song has to be the one that means the most to me from that era. I'm glad it is quite high in here.

They've been atrocious since Chasing The Sun, their last good single.

At this point I'm not sure I'm going to find any song being less than a masterpiece or similar. A Bad Dream is one of those hauntingly beautiful and meaningful songs that blow your mind. I remember when I found out what it was about it made me get even more into it. I love when songs have deep meanings and refer to a certain story/poem/book. A very well deserved Top 10 placing for this.
