  1. Cumberbatch: Name impressed Madonna Madonna was impressed by Benedict Cumberbatch's 'weird name' when they met. The British actor has recalled being introduced to the music superstar for the first time. He claims Madonna found his moniker rather amusing. 'She said, 'You’re the one with the strange name.' I said, 'Yes, I am, Madonna,'' Benedict laughed to the latest British edition of GQ magazine. The 37-year-old star also discussed his love life in the interview. Despite recently being voted the world's sexiest actor, Benedict is currently single. He admits that having a successful Hollywood career has changed the way women treat him. 'It is harder [meeting women], because people think they know more about you than they actually do,' he explained. 'And you can’t control that....you can’t control perceptions of you.. Benedict has developed a reputation for being posh because he is so well spoken and has an unusual name. He wishes people would look past the surface and realise he is a down-to-earth guy. Remember Martin Ciccone ? On truth or dare he looked sexy as, deep voice fast forward to 2013... http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/11/25/article-2513485-19A43B3900000578-295_634x850.jpg Madonna's alcoholic brother has given up alcohol and revealed his sister is going to buy him some new teeth. Martin Ciccone has suffered a troubled past in which he's battled alcohol abuse, DUI arrests, time in jail, and multiple stints in rehab. However the 56-year-old has finally managed to turn his life around and when tracked down by MailOnline he proudly revealed he has been sober for a year. Now working at a rehab centre in Hollywood for alcoholics and drug addicts, Martin told how his famous sister is helping him out financially by paying for a new set of false teeth for him. He said: 'We are on good terms and she’s helping me out. She’s getting me some new teeth. I’m hoping to start doing voiceover work again for cartoons and video games and get back on my feet.' Martin spoke out in the week that Forbes Magazine named Madonna the world's highest paid musician of 2013. The 55-year-old Like A Virgin singer pocketed $125m from June 2012 to May 2013 thanks to her hit MDMA tour. The queen of pop's fortune is a stark contrast from the humble life Martin is now living. However, it is the plight of the pair's older brother Anthony Ciccone, also an alcoholic, that worries Martin and he revealed he plans to try and save him. Anthony has been homeless on the freezing streets of Michigan for the last three years after losing his job at the Ciccone family vineyard for drinking the wine from the vats. In an interview with MailOnline in March this year, Anthony said: 'Madonna doesn’t give a s*** if I’m dead or alive. She lives in her own world. 'I never loved her in the first place, she never loved me. We never loved each other. My father would be very happy if I died of hypothermia and then he would not have to worry about it anymore.'
  10. If he did he would match Madonna's 12 if she hasn't had anymore by then.

True Blue Deluxe Reissue in the making ? From the guardian talking about album re-issues Looking across the range of box sets in the market, they betray something of a bias towards rock music. Will other genres, like pop, ever get the same treatment? "I think Madonna's True Blue would work brilliantly," Chalmers says. "We are talking to Madonna and her reps about various product plans – but a record like that would work perfectly. I don't think it's limited to specific audiences."

From the OCC: Robbie Williams, JLS and Jake Bugg are battling it out to score the 1000th Number 1 album on the UK’s Official Albums Chart. Lady Gaga yesterday secured the 999th Official Number 1 in the 57-and-a-half year history of the UK’s Official Albums Chart – meaning that a new Number 1 this Sunday (November 24) will be the historic 1000th Number 1. The albums set to fight it out for the honour of the 1000th Official Number 1 are Robbie Williams’ new album Swing Both Ways, the JLS greatest hits Goodbye and Jake Bugg’s second album Shangri-la. All three albums are released today (Monday, November 18), with initial sales reports set to show who is setting the early pace tomorrow morning (Tuesday). The very first Number 1 album back in July 1956 was Frank Sinatra’s classic Songs For Swingin’ Lovers – in the chart compiled and published in Record Mirror magazine. Since then, there have almost 3,000 different album charts published – with a colourful history, including a 1971 postal strike which prevented a rundown being published for several weeks (with George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass retrospectively crowned as the ex-Beatle’s only Number 1 with a solo studio album). Over the six decades, The Beatles are the undefeated kings of the Official Albums Chart, with 15 Number 1s and 174 weeks at the summit – with Elvis Presley totting up the second biggest total of weeks (63 weeks, across 11 chart toppers), and Madonna the second biggest albums tally (12 Number 1s in total, spanning 30 weeks). In the three and half years after the chart was launched in July 1956, 17 albums hit Number 1 during the 1950s. In turn, 56 albums topped the album chart in the 1960s, 147 did so in the 1970s, 182 in the 1980s, 215 in the 1990s and 269 in the 2000s. The 1000th Number 1 of all time will be the 114th of this decade. “This is a hugely significant landmark in the history of the music industry,” says Official Charts Company chief executive Martin Talbot. “While the Official Singles Chart is the fast-moving, barometer of pop music tastes, the Official Albums Chart reflects the broader tastes of British music fans and their attachment to outstanding song collections. “The list of albums which have topped the albums chart over the years underlines just how important it is, including iconic titles such as The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper… and Revolver, The Stones’ Exile On Main Street, David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane, Led Zepplin IV, Queen’s A Night At The Opera, Michael Jackson’s Thriller – right up to Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black, Adele’s 21 and Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories.” The winner will be crowned this Sunday at 7pm, and the Official Albums Chart Top 100 will be posted in full, here.
