The SLC is behaving like a dodgy sofa company, in that it charges a monthly interest the moment a student starts their course. This interest charging amounts to compound interest and it is far more than the bank would pay for anybody saving account. Further more, if it is genuine a good and fair system, then why charge interest? Why not just have the loan whereby the students will repay the moment they started earning and get a proper job? Why add more stress onto the students? Didn't our chancellor gave the state of our economy akin to having a credit card loan i.e. we are spending way beyond our means? So how does the Student Loan differs from that? A Loan is a Loan, in that the debtor have to repay the creditor. Instead of investing in the futures of our young generation, we are off-loading the responsibility of funding from the government to our young. We are hampering them in being able to get a mortgage and also to put aside for their pension. We won't go back to the 1971 but what about the 1980s? Currently this government has taxed us by stealth and you had forgotten that we are going to be paying 20% VAT. Furthermore, currently, what I want to know is why are we paying such high tax for what amounts to very little service? All I hear on a daily basis is what our council is already a meagre service it is going to cut in order to save money. When I came back from visiting my birth country, I feel as if I had step back into a 3rd world country, not a civilised country that I though UK should be. Okay - currently the economy is bad, but is the government going to recalibrate back to the stage where it can help out with the university funding? Should George Osbourne's gamble pays off and our economy grew, will we refund our children? We were told when they set the fees i.e. capped at £3290, it won't go any further. And look what's happening here - it is being tripled.

I think Cheers should be a fourth single for the summer. I like it's so laid-back and different from your average "party" song.

Better Than Today is one of those Kylie marmite mellow songs which people won't like straight away. I really like the song it one of my favourites on the album.
  12. :P Sources Jo?
  13. I think they should Top Of The Pops back for the spring/summer season. BBC would defiantly get good ratings. There's hardly anything interesting around that time. I loved how acts like Vanilla came in with their shabby outfits to sing. The whole essence was so organic. But now Cowell dominates the entertainment sections which are organised and constructed. But what can you do
  14. Thanks Joao. For the single or album please?

No (But I presume it will start having radio airplay this week. It quite sad because if Better Than Today tumbles next week it's going to have a tough time trying to recover. I just hope she has shoot the video and it's ready for release soon.

Well the Lady Gaga domination was pretty predictable eh. Yes we can read your poker face Gaga.
  18. I really can't see Loud debuting at #1 because of Take That etc. Defiantly a number 2/3 peak is certain though.

Does anyone else think We R Who We R won't be a single in Europe (especially the UK). Still no word a release of it here from her record label :(
  20. Also she's up against Take That and JLS she might be able to keep Westlife a bay but #1 is out of the question for her. Still going to sell well for her regardless.

iTunes Thread Rules: 1) Any Artist bashing will not be tolerated any longer, please keep it in the respectable optional forum or use the PM/MSN facility, otherwise you will receive a warning. 1.5) Any flying insults will not be tolerated any longer, please just think before you post. 2) ANY POP BARS COMING. They will come when a compiler is available to post, if you are really that desperate for them add them yourself, its not a life or death situation, otherwise be patient. 3) Always keep the thread on topic, don't go off on random with an artist that is not featured in the iTunes chart for the week. 4) smilies post :w00t: , :cheer: , :yahoo: , etc etc. These kind of posts are not adding anything value to the thread, even 1 word posts, they seem to be pointless. Please refrain from using them. 5) No Personal insults. 6) Any stupid comments will be deleted with no reason given by management or the Chart Mod team 7) STOP BAITING each other Useful Links: For Your Eyes Only!
