Buzzjack's Favourite Group
I nearly voted for them, I adore their first album and Martha's Harbour is one of my favourite songs of the 80s. I'll never forget when they were on TOTPs and couldn't hear the track so just sat there looking confused for the whole performance.

Buzzjack's Favourite Female Solo Singer
I love Florence. She was incredible live when I saw her a few years ago. i still listen to all her earlier albums. I based my nomination on her FATM output too, influenced by the fact that she’s been nominated at the BRITS as best British female solo artist 4 times. They certainly consider her to be a solo artist and not a band. Shame to see Jessie Ware drop out recently too. I thought she might manage higher this rate.

The most-streamed songs by UK artists from the 70s/80s/90s
Weirdly that list isn’t UK artists only, where Toto are at #3

There are some really bizarre artists showing up on this vote. Hopefully my 30 points for Taffy won't seem so out of place now.

OCC: UK's Most Streamed Songs Of Each Year From 1952-2022
I’m so confused by so many of the songs on this list! I mentioned this in the greatest hits top 300 countdown thread but I don’t know Juicy by The Notorious B.I.G at all. I didn’t even recognise it when I listened to it - is it really that massive a song? 1994 is the year of both Mariah and East 17 both of which I assume are bigger?!

Top 300 Most Streamed Songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s
Thanks for posting all the updates. It was a really interesting read. I'm baffled by the following being in the top 300, I either can't recalling hearing them before or haven't heard them since their release : 271 Mobb Deep – Shook Ones (Part II) N/A 1995 270 Ice Cube – It Was A Good Day #27 1993 259 Pixies – Where Is My Mind N/A 1988 171 Rusted Root – Send Me On My Way N/A 1994 151 Notorious BIG – Big Poppa #63 1995 141 AC/DC – You Shook Me All Night Long #38 1980 140 Ginuwine – Pony #16 1997 I'm also surprised at the popularity of these ones too - I either wasn't expecting to see them or they're much higher than I thought they'd be - Vengaboys? and why is Toploader that high? Especially when there are so many 80s classics missing (i.e. Berlin, Communards, FrankieGTH, Kylie, Pet Shop Boys), only one Madonna and no Take That. 291 Luniz Featuring Michael Marshall – I Got Five On It #3 1996 284 Livin’ Joy – Dreamer #1 1995 266 James – Laid #25 1993 265 Black Sabbath – Paranoid #4 1970 256 Stardust – Music Sounds Better With You #2 1998 241 Ram Jam – Black Betty #7 1977 227 Vengaboys – Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!! #1 1999 170 2pac Featuring Talent – Changes #3 1999 122 Billy Joel – We Didn’t Start The Fire #7 1989 39 Backstreet Boys – I Want It That Way #1 1999 35 Daryl Hall & John Oates – You Make My Dreams N/A 1981 10 Toploader – Dancing In The Moonlight N/A 1999 / #7 2001

There might have been another update as he's number 42 now! There is also another Ed Sheeran feature on there with Vianney!

Just noticed that the Throwback Thursday playlist has 'Wake me up when September ends' as track 2, so you might see a resurgence for it tomorrow after all. 'Sweater Weather' is track 6 so that might get another big boost too.

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 4 Single - The Final
Brilliant winner, although I would’ve liked to have seen Keene take it (my 50 pointer). I find it such an uplifting song - there is something very joyful about it. True Faith and a Little Respect are also true classics in my eyes and Robbie’s best song finishing so high too, is great to see. I do love Raidiohead ‘No Suprises’ though so pleased to see it take the crown Cheers for the countdown Rollo

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 4 Single - The Final
Walk this Way was 1986 and a top 10. That surely counts towards Aerosmith as well as Run DMC? Sad to see Dirty Dianna out so early but can’t bear Savage Garden (from the last set).

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 4 Single - 1st Round
I don't think I've seen a song I voted for yet. Some great number 4s have fallen though (some total noise scored points too!!).....the following I have a real soft spot for: Cliff Richard - Carrie, Sean Paul - Get Busy Zoe - Sunshine On A Rainy Day Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way Athlete - Wires McFly featuring Taio Cruz - Shine A Light Breathe - Hands To Heaven And these three were very close to scoring votes from me: Electric Light Orchestra - Hold On Tight Eternal - Stay Five Star - The Slightest Touch I was also the one to give the Jacksons - I'll be there points, so glad to see I wasn't actually the only one!

Is AIWFCIY the most famous song ever?
Again Bohemian Rhapsody springs to mind for me too. The massive soundtrack songs like I Will Always Love You, My Heart Will Go On, You're the One That I Want, Happy, as well as Let it Go could be in contention, and a couple of years ago This is Me was EVERYWHERE! The other song which seems to have taken on a life of its own is Sweet Caroline. Its association with sporting events has taken it to another level.

Chart forum quiz week 8 - the results!
I did much better than anticipated, happy with 4th (and just into triple figures too) and thanks for putting this together Julian - really fun quiz. I thought it was Chumbawamba based on the chord progression but it sounded so different to the intro I know, so I didn't even put it as a guess. Would've been wise to take a punt as I just left it blank in the end! The song titles not appearing in the song's lyrics as a genius theme and obvious when you know it. Can't believe I missed it! Congrats to Chris for the win.
