  1. I wouldn't have thought it, but another good one there from Vicky. Because unlike others she doesn't compare the current sales to previous albums - at least for now ;) I don't mean to stir things any further, but I'm not happy thinking anyone on this forum is being told not to post anymore, unless some person deserved it for eg. being really rude or offensive, but I couldn't really see that happening  Us RW fans should stick together and show our support for the man like one big happy family. Sorry for getting a bit soppy there
  2. Yeah, we've been saying that for ages. Not that anyone's listening. Why do important people at EMI not read on here...?  Any bet that most other countries will have better sales compared to the UK.
  3. God, Scotty, you're depressing me... But the sad thing is, you're probably right. :puke2: :arrr:
  4. To be honest, I didn't expect it to sell more than 150 k after those midweeks. It is low, shockingly low actually... But I'll moan about that tomorrow, today I just want to celebrate the no. 1 ! :yahoo:
  5. Good to have it official now ! :cheer: :yahoo: :cheer: :yahoo: Well done, Rob.
  6. Was just thinking: It really shouldn't be allowed that anyone gets that much over-exposure hosting the awards AND performing at the ceremony like JT does. I can't remember Christina Aguilera performing when she hosted, or did she ... ? I'm hoping that after that night people will be sick and tired of JT, I already am now :puke2: I know I won't watch, I'm not really bothered. Should Rob turn up somewhere there will be a hundred repeats that I could record anyway.
  7. I'm refusing to believe it until I read that on rw.com or another official source -_-
  8. :o He managed to do that in our Austrian charts AFTER he toured here. What will your charts look like after the Australian tour ?
  9. Yeah, and I'd still prefer that one to Bongo Bong. I don't know if I imagined this, but I think at some point I read somewhere that She's Madonna would be on a double A side along with Bongo. I don't know if that was a rumour or only something a fan suggested, does anyone remember this... ? As I said, maybe I'm imagining things, to have a last straw of hope that Bongo Bong won't be the next single, at least not on its own -_- I wouldn't mind it much on a double A side, as long as the other track is really good.
  10. :cheer: :yahoo: Good to have a no. 1 outside Europe, that gives it more of a global feeling :D
  11. Obviously I'd love him to be there, but I don't think he will- in the trailers on MTV he is not among the presenters. :(
  12. Yeah, why? Do they want us RW fans to be in for a nice surprise or for the shock of our lives ? :o
  13. I agree with everyone on everything. :D I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks a month off is too long, he needs to get his ass over to the UK and perform some album tracks on the telly. I can't believe they are expecting the album to sell by itself- not that one, not after the Rudebox single and all the negativity from the press. There's some convincing to be done here. <_<
  14. Is there anything we can do about this? Like emailing to EMI or the official site and tell them what we think of Bongo Bong as a 3rd single ? Even if it won't be heard, right now I just feel like telling them, because I'm very frustrated and also seriously worried. Like Scotty said I dont want him to look like a complete joke and to ruin his career and I honestly think this single could do just that, I'm not kidding here.
  15. Em, I said my bit in the news thread. To summarise what I think about Bongo Bong as the next single: :puke2:  :arrr:
  16. Bongo Bong 3rd single. :o This is my worst nightmare coming true. :puke2: I'm beginning to think they don't want this album to be successful. Still hoping this is a bad joke.
  17. Me and all. I'm already :puke2: at the thought of it. For that time I'd like to dig myself a hole and stay in there for a while until the worst has died off
  18. It's strange really, since Germany/Austria have new relases on Friday new singles/albums are not in the charts the following Friday, but 2 weeks later ! Meaning Rudebox is not in our charts at all this week, only next week. Slightly annoying. -_- So only no. 2 in Ireland... ? Also, I think it's ridiculous that sales of CD WOW don't count towards the UK charts. :arrr: Sorry, but I demand that everyone who ordered from there goes out into the shops and buys a copy. :P
  19. Yeah, she is defenitely loving him at the moment. But I'm still a bit sceptical. Hope she won't change her tune again in case everyone else says the album is a flop and once TT start outselling Rob with their new material, which could easily happen. <_< Fingers crossed she keeps up her current attitude. I have to say I don't like the "one month off" bit before the Australian tour. I guess that means Rob will do no promotion for the album or Lovelight at all, which is a shame. I think it would be needed. Not that he doesn't deserve a break, but I was hoping he'd have 2 weeks off and would start promoting Lovelight/the album then. :(
  20. You mean including Thurdsday then... ? I guess we'll be lucky if sales reach 150 000 by Sunday.
  21. I see, thanks. Well, probably that's not so bad in this case because Rudebox is not no. 1 on uk itunes anyway, he's behind MCR there right ? At the beginning of the week I was just happy the album is heading for no. 1 and I told myself not to care much about the sales figures. I don't now what happened to that... right now I just feel a bit frustrated, can't help it. :( I think we all knew he wouldn't sell his usual over 300k, but having sold only slightly over 100 k by midweek does worry me a bit. :puke2:
  22. Me neither. I'm not very confident sales will reach 200 000 by the weekend as has been predicted on Monday. Do these sales figures already include downloads or not ? But that wouldn't make such a big difference, right?
  23. Will he ? Are you assuming or do you know that for sure? I think so far there aren't any dates, not that I know of. I'm still hoping Rob will do some proper promotion for it, especially perform some of those album tracks live, he needs to get them out there. A lot of people (fans even) still need convincing. I have to admit after the first joy about the album heading for no. 1 I am a bit worried about the sales figures. But I think we all know why they are much lower compared to his usual standards, there are quite a few factors to be taken into consideration which have already been named. Like others I still have hope though that the album could do well in the long run, hopefully people will realize that not the whole album sounds like the Rudebox single (which is a major problem imo). -_-
  24. I know we already have a thread for this somewhere, but I couldn't be bothered to look for it, so here is a new one to remind everybody :D Rob is nominated for Best Male and Best Pop, the ceremony is on November 2nd so I'm expecting the voting to close soon and everyone should get in their while it's still open. You can vote as many times as you like http://mtveuropemusicawards.com/site.swf As Justin Timberlake is hosting AND performing it could all be a fix anyway, meaning he will walk away with the awards of Rob's categories no matter what the public decided <_< , but at least we can say we tried so get your votes in everyone !
