Take That
Well, I guess it wouldn't really matter what kind of song they release. After being away for 10 years they will go to no. 1 for sure, I'm not expecting anything else. And TT fans ALWAYS were good single buyers which can't be said for RW fans these days, unfortunately  Just in case anyone wonders: I was a TT fan once, being 13-16 years old. When Rob left I realised I was mostly in there because of him and after his departure I lost interest and I'm not really bothered about TT now. I can't really say I'm happy about the reunion. It's not the boys´ fault, but as usual it's the damn press that is getting at me. Personally I think the negative press for Rob has increased with the TT comeback. And now that they are releasing new material, the papers are going to have a field day comparing sales figures. There's already an article on reuters with the headline "Robie and TT: Face off" - only because their live DVD and the Rudebox album are released on the same day... Honestly, I'm dreading all of this. :puke2:

Take That
:o Does that mean TT's new single is out one week before Lovelight? I don't like this at all. <_< The b****y papers will be declaring WW III "Can Robbie knock TT off the top spot", I can see it already :puke2: Haven't heard Patience yet, but why do I think TT will sound just like they did 10 years ago... Well, good on them probably. Because sadly there are many RW fans out there who would rather have him doing Angels all over again than the Rudebox album -_-

"Rudebox" - THE ALBUM
That sounds reassuring. I hope they know what they are talking about.

Rudebox, the album: The reviews
Mojo and Musicweek are on our side, who cares about Q :P :yahoo: Thanks to Scotty and also Mikey of course for that review, always nice to hear some praise for our man and his music. Especially lately

October 2006 News
Oh-oh. That doesn't sound good. Sounds to me like there is still a danger the album could be delayed although the lyrics are not on there anymore. This is turning into a real nightmare, for me anyway

Lovelight - Released Nov 13th
Good on you Aly, nice to see that not only us ROBsessed people love Lovelight. I don't know, this is the first single in a long time that I have a really good feeling about. Unlike with Sin and Rudebox. Although I personally liked them both, I sort of knew this wouldn't be right. When I first heard Lovelight I thought yes, that's it, this one could be big (and that with Mark Ronson talking over it  ). Hope my gut feeling won't let me down

October 2006 News
Someone's having good taste here :) Rob is currently artist of the month on aol.music.uk This is what it says on their website (with thanks to purerobbie): Head of the class Robbie remains the British pop star par excellence, and as his recent huge UK tour shows, he's still moving forward with a spectacular stage show and making more hits. That's pretty nice coming from a British website, isn't it...? :o

The 90's
I did know that, Scotty. :D Please forgive jups. We're all very confused at the moment. Could someone who really knows please tell us whether the album will be out in time and with or without the 90s on it. Best before I start going completely mental.
-
The 90's
Yeah, I know. Maybe many will disagree and you can batter me if you like but I'd rather have an album without the 90s on it than not having it at all or waiting for month or years until it gets released. Obviously I'd prefer it to be on the album with alterated lyrics. I hope Musicweek know what they are talking about. At least they are not a tabloid, so I tend to trust them the most with their info.

The 90's
Yesterday I found it hard to take in the information from all those articles that turned up at once and I got really confused. I took my time now and read them all again thouroughly. Not that it's not confusing anymore, but summing it up you get this: The Sun article is the only one where the lyrics have not been removed yet and it says NMS will sue for defamation IF the track is released which could delay the album. Then there's Musicweek and Mirror who both write that the offending lyrics have already been withdrawn. Which would mean there is no risk for the album release to be delayed. So basically it should be fine and maybe the Sun just wasn't the fastest with their information this time... ? I'm hoping so. But of course I may have got it all wrong and more (official) news on the matter would be highly appreciated. -_- I forgot, of course there is still the possibility of NMS suing Rob over the allegations he made not only in the recorded track but also on stage in MK and in the interview with The Sun, but to be honest - I wouldn't be bothered too much as long as the album is out. :o Sorry, Rob. I mean, no way would NMS deserve to get any money from Rob if he lost a court case but I guess it wouldn't make him bancrupt. The only thing I really care about now is WILL THE ALBUM BE RELEASED ON OCTOBER 23rd ... ?

October 2006 News
Somehow I thought you would be pleased about the news, Scotty. Meanwhile I have realised too that this comment was taken out of an interview with Spiegel magazine, which I guess must have taken place when Rob was still touring in Germany. Probably the problem with the 90s wasn't even on the cards back then.

October 2006 News
I don't mean to start any speculation, but yesterday there was something in a very respected German magazine ("Spiegel") that made big news in Germany. I think it might turn up in the UK press at some point, so I can as well say it now. Spiegel magazine quotes Rob as saying that the music industry is beginning to make him ill. He doesn't want to renew his contract with EMI and in the future he would like to record songs independent from any record company. I wouldn't have posted this if it had been from some crappy paper, but actually Spiegel is known for serious journalism. Besides, it wouldn't surprise me. I bet if it was Rob's decision alone he would have left the 90s on the album including the heavy lyrics and I could imagine he's not happy that EMI removed the lyrics (or the whole song, I mean we still don't know for sure).

The 90's
That's just what I don't want. :( I want to know if I can look forward to it, I don't want to be all excited and then find out on October 20th (release date in my country) if the album is in the shops or not. I might run havoc in that CD shop or start crying if it's not there, I need to know before

The 90's
jups, that thing you posted from digitalspy is not really news, is it ? It mainly quotes the Mirror article, doesn't it ? I remember reading once that Nigel is involved in a new casting show on Channel 4, apparently they want to put together a new Take That or something like that. I think it was also said that Channel 4's lawyers were supporting NMS in the whole issue with Rob. So I guess that's the only way he "still works in the music industry" right now -_-

New album release - countdown
Exactly. I hope starting the countdown wasn't premature. Last week everything seemed fine but after today's news I'll leave counting the days for now and see what happens

The 90's
jups, I sort of figured out the same as you. That Nigel is still p***ed off because the lyrics, whether they are on the album or not, have damaged his reputation. But why is there a mention of the album possibly being delayed - if THE lyrics are not on there, why would there be a problem with releasing the album ? I don't get this and I f***ing hate not knowing what's going on. I wish the RW people would put a statement on their site but I guess they will be the last to tell us, we'll probably hear something from Vicky or the lovely 3am girls first <_<

Lovelight - Released Nov 13th
That's what I thought too from reading on forums. Someone on TRWS said she had seen it 3 times on UK music channels last night after the premiere on ITV. Let's hope that's a good sign. :)

October 2006 News
PS. Anyon else noticed that the lovely 3am ladies always end their articles with the same c**p ? I think I read the "Rudebox flopped, legal problems with NMS and Ashley, Asian tour cancelled" bit about a dozen times now

October 2006 News
 What does that all mean ? I'm more confused than ever at this point. Musicweek says the song is on the album with alterated lyrics, that sounded finde to me, everything settled. With those latest tabloid articles it seems there is still the possibility of NMS suing Rob and the album being delayed... ? Please tell me I have got that bit wrong. I really don't get it all. Nigel, you f***ing b*****d, the offending lyrics won't be on the album, what do you still want now? :arrr: Basically I don't care, he can sue Rob for 300 k if he likes, I think that's peanuts for him anyway - but I want the album to be out on October 23rd and not one day later. :puke2: What does everyone make of this ?

Lovelight - Released Nov 13th
I can't believe my luck, saw it on the telly too last night! :cheer: I knew German music channel VIVA had its show premiering the new videos but I wasn't really expecting Lovelight to be on this week already, but then I had a look and it was !!! :yahoo: As I expected the video is even better on the TV screen, Rob looks absolutely fabulous.

"Rudebox" - THE ALBUM
Where is this information from exactly, I mean I know the website, but where did they get that from? I hope it's a load of rubbish. Particularly about Bongo Bong, that must be a joke. :o <_< If She's Madonna doesn't get released, I'll have to run havoc. :arrr: OK, I admit I haven't even heard the song, but it can only be better than Bongo Bong. But you know what ? Maybe it will be a single in France ONLY because Rob does French lyrics on it. That would make sense... ?
-
She's Madonna
surprise for me as well that She's Madonna is said to be more mid tempo to ballad, somehow you got the impression so far that it was very up tempo. Well, I don't mind, as long as it is as brilliant as everyone says The person on TWRS mentioned that Rob sings his heart out on the chorus, I remember that the Sun's Vicky wrote in her review that Rob's singing on the chorus gave her goose bumps so I'm expecting something spectacular

New album release - countdown
17 DAYS it is then :D In fact I'm going to buy the album today in two weeks, because luckily my native country Austria (like Germany) has the release on October 20th :cheer:
-
"Rudebox" - THE ALBUM
The gay, community, bless 'em... I guess they'll never give up hope that Rob is a tiny bit gay deep down. Nice to see a brilliant review. A mate of mine has heard Lovelight and says this might be the first RW album he will buy. Guess what, he's gay ! :o :D He's always liked Rob's looks, but so far he has never cared much for his music.

Lovelight - Released Nov 13th
MTV Germany they showed bits of the Lovelight video in their news last night and it got me really excited to see it on the big TV screen, although it wasn't the whole video. :yahoo: I think if I'll see the clip in full on the telly I'll go gaga
