The Echo Awards
Sorry, scotty but I'm not so happy with that clip. Makes me wish SO much he was there and performing tonight... :(

The Echo Awards
Alright Tessa, but will you help me get out of bed at 5.30 in the morning ? :D I honestly hope, I'll get to know really soon. Now Yusuf is singing... The feature before he came on alone took ages... And now another commercial break. Great. -_-

The Echo Awards
I'm getting really impatient here. The winners of national awards are already up online but no word yet of the international ones... I don't really want to stay up until 11.30 pm, that's how long the ceremony lasts, have to get out really early tomorrow but I'm dying to know... I think now Yusuf Islam is about to get his special award. Get a move on, guys !

The Echo Awards
I guess you're right Scotty. I just want to prepare myself in a way for him not winning. Because if I'm all set on it and dead sure, I could end up in shock and very upset if things turn out to be different...

The Echo Awards
I dunno, I'm a bit uneasy. I know saleswise he must win, but it's just - will they really give it to him for the 6th time in a row... ? If there will be a video acceptance speech I expect there to be a few rehab jokes but maybe also a heartfelt Thank You to the Germans for their loyalty and maybe a dig at the UK at the same time, something like "Back at home I only got an award for the worst album this year"... ^_^ I can't see myself watching the whole show as there's nothing/no one that I'm particularly interested in, might zap in a few times and if I'm lucky I'll catch Best International Male. But I'll defenitely record everything so I don't miss it if there will be a video message.

The Echo Awards
It seems certain that Rob will NOT be at tonight's ECHO ceremony - and I can't say I blame him with TT being there. Scotty already named it. Timberlake won't be there either, so whoever wins the acceptance speech will just be a video message. Fingers crossed it's Rob ! B)

She's Madonna the single
Good on you Scotty. I wish the Mirror office got flooded with emails like yours, but sadly too many RW fans are not prepared to do that. It might not help, but ignoring them hasn't made them go away either. And sorry, but those who think campaigns (that's what it is, it's not just the odd article) like that don't have an impact are in denial. Open your eyes and look what they have already done to Rob in the UK!

March 2007 News
I know, scotty... I don't know what annoys me more: the way the 3am girls go on about Rob or the fact that Rob's people don't do anything about it. :puke2: It's SO obvious that it's a campaign and that it's personal :arrr:

March 2007 News
good for you osiris, think we all do on here and some other sensible might as well, but sadly there are lots of people out there who don't... I could easily ignore articles of that sort if they didn't have an effect, but I'm afraid they do. -_-

She's Madonna the single
Are you only kidding? I might just do it. ^_^ And maybe add the article about Rob being the top inspiration for young musicians.
-
She's Madonna the single
no. 4 for a third week in Germany :cheer: And he even managed to hold off Timberlake's new single :o It's really doing well in Europe, isn't it.

March 2007 News
Yeah, that article about Rob being the top inspiration had me chuffed too , but I can't help being miffed at the same time knowng that's a story the papers won't pick up and THEY SHOULD !!! <_<

March 2007 News
I get what you mean jups. I wouldn't mind him having an affair with her for publicity, but God forbid should he ever sing with her :o :puke2:

March 2007 News
Folks, don't be too quick with the razorblades, it comes from the Daily Star. It's all good. ^_^ Actually I would have been surprised if that rumour had not come up at some point, it's so obvious.

March 2007 News
I tend to worry a little as well. He's said himself that he was becoming a bit of a recluse because of the depression and that can't be good either, however - it's like jups said, a middle road would be nice. He's gone from not going out at all or not a lot to going out every single night  But at least he has behaved himself, there was nothing that would worry me in particular. Nothing wrong if he's out there enjoying himself. Maybe after a three week rehab he now is on a three week non stop party marathon  And tessat could have a point too. I dunno, maybe it's only my imagination but I think overall the press are pretty positive about all those pics, everyone says how great he looks. B)

March 2007 News
Haven't heard it myself, but there has been a very unpleasant report in a major TV magazine, something along the lines that's it's a really stupid and cruel thing to say and that he should talk to people who have survived a concentration camp before making such a comment. :puke2: I've had it now, I'm going to email ie music about this, although I'm not sure they will take any notice.
-
March 2007 News
OK, I take everything back. I hear it has got a lot worse in German media today  Rob's management should really do something about this !
-
March 2007 News
Yes, the German media did report about that supposed rehab comment of Rob's ("worse than a concentration camp") which he probably never made, but I didn't think it was that bad. They talked about it in quite a neutral way as they would with any other news, and it was not like there was outrage and comments like "How can he say such a thing" and people being upset, not that I know of. But still, I think Rob's management should do something about it. But they couldn't be bothered with disputing other c**p articles before, so why would they start now. <_<

March 2007 News
Em, actually the article about Rudebox being a flop came from the Daily Mail. But nothing wrong with hating The Mirror nevertheless jups  Where did Rudebox sell 3 times as many as TT's album.... ? It can't be in the UK -_- , is it in Europe or worldwide ?

March 2007 News
Justin Hawkins is trying for the Eurovision Song Contest ... ? :o I don't know why anyone who is already an established artist would want to do that, it can only ruin your reputation. BTW, for Germany Roger Cicero will enter the competition. Guess what's his style... SWING  It seems like everyone is doing it nowadays. I hope people won't forget who was the man who did it first before everyone else... <_<
-
She's Madonna the single
Scotty, you're right about IC. They already nagged about that, although it had sold lots. But if I remember correctly they only started it when the singles after Trippin did badly. <_<
-
She's Madonna the single
Well, it doesn't matter what us lot think about Shine, fact is that it's selling loads as in general TT are getting huge sales which is what Rob would need right now to get the press of his back. I bet a lot of things journos write about him now they were itching to write all the time, only they didn't dare too as long as he was having fantastic sales figures. Now they seem to feel encouraged in slagging him off because the great Britis public has abandoned Rob, or at least doesn't buy his records anymore. Which is about the same to them. -_-
-
She's Madonna the single
Well, one would think that the press have got what they wanted now, Rob's not selling anymore. So I wish they would just stop it now. Hope they are proud of themselves. :arrr:
-
She's Madonna the single
Well, I wouldn't know anything about now, I only know that someone mentioned it was on the B list in the week it came out , which is still this week.
-
She's Madonna the single
That must have been that one time a week they play it. -_- Sorry, couldn't resist that. B) It's on their B playlist, so I'm sure it's getting more plays than that, but still not enough. <_< If you consider that it's not getting a lot of airplay on neither radio nor music channels let alone TV promotion, Top 15 is actually b****y amazing !
