The Very Best of Enya: an upcoming 2009 release
Yes, I will be downloading Aniron exclusively off of iTunes when the album releases. I'm hearing that the documentary material will not be new whatsoever, so I probably won't be purchasing the DVD unfortunately.

The Very Best of Enya: an upcoming 2009 release
Thank you Crowan. I left Unity for the very reason that unless I'm fawning over Enya's every motion, I'm not a real fan. I'm her biggest fan, I just don't like how she lets herself be handled professionally, and the larger portion of her web presence. I feel relief that I can say my opinions without fear of banning or retribution. I love this forum! On a related note, I am excited about this version on Aniron. I would agree that it's one of Enya's best melodies ever.

The Very Best of Enya: an upcoming 2009 release
I'm not disappointed per se, I just don't like how it's been built up by the likes of Aigle & Warner. It's not a new album, it's a collection of the same songs we all own, repackaged once again [a fourth time] for the purposes of making money. Aigle could have made this a bit more special, including a new song or two, but alas, it's just mediocre, which therein lies the biggest problem to me.

The Very Best of Enya: an upcoming 2009 release
Agreed Crowan, on some levels, I think the track list for the DVD version is nearly dead on. I think this so-called 'best of' is ridiculous at best. I'm not at all excited about it, with the small exception of owning the 3+ minute version of Aniron. Enya is so full of disappointment in the interims between albums. She talks about live shows and NEVER makes good on those talks, she releases a winter album and the only song she makes a video for is the most pseudo non-winter song on the album. One of the best tracks on the album, Last Time By Moonlight, is left off the new best of and instead, the use the typical filler song, Stars and Midnight Blue. Her official site is looking better, but there's been such a harsh crackdown on anything overtly critical the forum has all but died these days. I'm awaiting a new studio album to get excited once again!

The Magic Of The Night - Enya's Masterpiece
I think it's a gorgeous Christmas song, and it's timeless, and it seems as if it's always been in our lives. I'd think it's overrated if it actually received attention, but it received next to none. I don't compare it to the aformentioned tracks because it's more seasonal.

The Magic Of The Night - Enya's Masterpiece
I feel like The Magic of the Night is a song that's gotten little attention and it's one of Enya's best creation [and deserved a music video]. And so, I start this topic to see what others think.

Alternative version of May It Be
IT'S ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.

Loxian Games II
Unless the prize is a ticket to some live rendering of Enya's music, or a visit with Enya herself, it's all a bit ridiculous. Creatively, the games are amazing and unparalleled, realistically, they stand in place of a consuming unprofessionalism within Aigle. Enya.com is quite laughable as a whole in my opinion. It could be a hub of such exciting things, instead, it's a place card, a place to go to re-read information posted elsewhere first.

The Very Best of Enya: an upcoming 2009 release
Lovely but absolutely unrealistic. 2010 would mean Enya would have needed to re-enter the studio in February at the earliest to make her usual 2 year deadline. What she should be doing is rehearsing for a live show. She's not living to her full potential as a professional in my opinion. Now is the time to make good on her up till now, EMPTY talks of live renderings. I'm still loving her music, but I can barely stomach hearing her in interviews. She says the same ol' thing over and over and over, and it ends up coming off like bullsh*t after this many years.

The Very Best of Enya: an upcoming 2009 release
I welcome your reply bigwig! The beauty of individuality is that we have license to be ourselves, no matter what anyone thinks. I was reading on another forum a post by a moderator who told us that we should just be grateful for the amount of material that Enya has released in the past few years as it's unprecedented for her to do so. I can understand that argument to a point, but that doesn't mean that she, like so many other artists can't go out of their way to make whatever they release special, as opposed going at it by the numbers. Enya's greatest flaw has been to give her presence over to Roma Ryan, a brilliant lyricist she is, but Enya needs a web page created and maintained by a firm of the highest of standards, and not the fellow they lean on presently. In terms of this best of, yes, it's disappointing, as disappointing as realizing that the trio will continue to pull our chains about a live show without any intention of ever performing in the future. When AWC released, they talked about a live show more then they ever have. Professionally, Enya, Nicky & Roma are disappointing. Their music is unlike anyone before them, or probably after, I wish they would represent themselves in kind, and make any release dynamic and singular as opposed to run-of-the-mill and disappointing.

The Very Best of Enya: an upcoming 2009 release
Hello Everyone, I'm new to this awesome site, a bit of a refugee from another forum. I'm interested to hear this full version of Aniron, but all in all, this release is lazy, and nothing special. You would think that Enya & Co. would have pushed to make this special, create new songs, for a best of that's releasing 12 years after the first one. I know there's only been 3 albums since the last 'best of', but the albums in question are monumental in the way they've impacted Enya's repertoire. I guess I'm used to being disappointed when it comes to Enya. I love her music, but professionals they are not.
