The pre-party performances have been decent and definitely better than many other country's acts. I am beginning to have hope that we'll qualify but the staging has to look good. I have a fear that it will look cheap and amateurish and that will just not be enough to get voters to vote. I also hope the camera cuts that we saw in Madrid are going to be used on Malmö. They were very effective.

This is an absolute asset to BuzzJack presents. 1979 just bursts with classic songs from all genres. That write up is so detailed. My personal favorites are Rock Lobster and My Sharona. I just noticed that we've done 1979,1989 and 1999. Volunteers for 2009, anyone? Great work, pcf.

That's true. As featureless as it is, it's still far more modern than anything Ireland has sent. (Until this year).

I was listening to the entire playlist and imagining a situation where I didn't know which country sent which song. Would I be able to work out, without knowing any language other than English, who sent what. Two were very obvious possibilities - Moldova could have sent the Estonian song and Switzerland could have sent the Latvian song. What do you think? Are there examples from previous years?
