My own 1999 number 1s. This does obscure the fact that Out of the Blue and No Scrubs were my second and third favorite tracks of the year but they were released in the same week as Windowlicker so never made it to number 1. 16 Jan 99 Robbie Williams - No Regrets - 2 wks 30 Jan 99 Three Drives On A Vinyl - Greece 2000 - 1 wk 06 Feb 99 Placebo - Every You, Every Me - 2 wks 20 Feb 99 UNKLE feat. There were over 200 top 10 hits in 1999. It was difficult to get it down to 4 discs. Plus there were several essential tracks that missed the top 10 that year too. The discussion was lengthy, passionate and we all lost faves in the process. Ultimately, we've got a collection that should easily exceed what the Now team will release.
  6. I don't know why RTE think that the Late Late audience would have any idea what works for Eurovision. It will be the boy band or Erica Cody that will be chosen.

I think London Nights would have been my preference too but Requiem felt more deserving. Turn Up the Bass was on the long list.

What an amazing playlist. Great work, Wardy. Solid gold compilation. There can't be many compilations in the world with Frank Zappa and Girls Aloud separated by just two other songs.
  17. Absolutely. The hand claps, the bassline, the samples.
  18. Jack Your Body is easily the pick of the top 10. Although, I do like Is This Love? and Sometimes also
  19. Yay!
