There's a real comfort in some of these songs. Glory of Love, Lonely Boy, Sometimes When We Touch, We're All Alone. Songs I haven't heard in years. I can't seem to see disc 3 in the thread, either. Great work, KR.

Viva Forever is by far my favorite Spice Girls single. I love Mel C's vocals in it. The Boy is Mine is 'all time' great and up there for my favorite single of 1998. Come Back to What You Know is also top 5 of the year for me.

Cartoon Heroes is my top Aqua song.

1 - Jon Secada - Just Another Day Here it is. The surprise number 1 and 10-pointer. I always loved this but wow - the verses are nearly the equal of the magnificent chorus. His live vocals are wonderful too. So, it appears that a new song has entered my personal top 10 of 1992. 19th best seller of 1992. Colm's core 10.0

2 - Richard Marx - Hazard I always liked this. It had regular airplay on the radio station Atlantic 252 months before a UK release but I never really got bored of it and was delighted with its slow ascent up the charts. It is still subtly powerful. Finished the year as 14th best seller. Colm's score 8.7

It's sad that it has come to this. One of my favorite countries in Eurovision.

3 - SL2 - On A Ragga Tip This was what I expected to be number 1 for 1992. It's still very good but I like it less that I expected. Maybe it's suffered from overplaying. Whatever the reason, it isn't the potential-10-pointer that I envisaged before listening to these 10 songs again. 20th best seller of 1992. Colm's score 7.9

Yes. He pitches it just right. Freddie over performed a lot and I can see why people found them irritating. They managed what I consider to be 3 great singles from that album - The Days of our Lives, The Show Must go on and Innuendo. I would not call myself a Queen fan.

4 - Queen - These Are The Days Of Our Lives I've watched this video several times over the last few days. Freddie was magnetic, to the very end. Sad and poignant. 15th best seller of 1992 Colm's score 7.8

5 Dr.Alban - It's My Life Standard early 90s Eurodance. Best selling single in Austria and Switzerland in 1992. 18th best seller of 1992 in the UK. Colm's score 7.5

Lord, do we have 12/10 now? ☹️ Songs that I will actively seek out get a 7 or more. Anything less and I'd probably only listen to if there was a particular reason to listen to it - like in this ranking/rating.

I used to love Sleeping Satellite a lot more. Baker's Street is thin on redeeming features, I guess. It could just be nostalgia for me.

I wasn't presenting my fact as evidence of anything. It's not part of the discussion about which would have been a better lead single. I just found it interesting.

I'm late to this but So Hard is absolutely 10/10 and a welcome return to their imperial phase. After So Hard matched their highest debuting position, Being Boring entered at 32 which was their lowest since Love Comes Quickly over 4 years prior.

6 Undercover - Baker Street Surprisingly, this hasn't dated as much as I expected - the bleepy sounds aside. I really like the tone of his voice. Got to number 100 in Australia. :D 11th best selling single of 1992 Colm's Score 7.2

7 Tasmin Archer - Sleeping Satellite Hmmm...another case of weaker chorus than verse. The middle 8 and all the organ work are excellent. The lowest selling number 1 of 1992, 16th best seller over all. Colm's score 7.0
