  1. if we all use Spotify we can just start at the same time
  2. I would love a communal listen through of this album.
  3. Colm posted a post in a topic in BuzzJack Song Contest
I was quite surprised that Low - Lullaby qualified as it was a challenging listen and well over 9 minutes with no chorus and no vocals after the 3 minute mark.
  4. Which of my DNQ would you like me to rank or reflect upon?
  5. Can't really contribute to this. So sorry.
  6. Seriously underrated album. I don't understand how it hasn't become a word of mouth success - such is the breath of styles and textures on it.
  7. I would say that it's better but the first 60 seconds of Blue Monday is my favourite opening 60 seconds of any song.
  8. Great list. And also, a reminder of some bands that I hadn't even considered like Siouxsie And The Banshees.
  9. Great work Kath. I missed the top 30 by 2 points. But getting 132 points for a song as long as Lullaby is impressive.
  10. Thanks Jade!
  11. Points already! Thanks Lottie and Chez
  12. I have been in love with True Faith since 1987. I think it is the song I have in the most places in my collection. I think I have it in 13 different places over cd , cassette and vinyl.
  13. I'm really looking forward to this. I've chosen to not participate as I left it too late to find something I was happy with from a band that hadn't been chosen by earlier participants. I'm curious to see what pops up as this edition is right up my street.
  14. Submitted again. Awaiting veto-ification.
  15. Terrible.
  16. Something Good. I dont usually enjoy remakes and the original is one of my favourite ever dance tracks. Someone I know noted the following Firth there was the book - Peter Reich's A Book of Dreams which inspired the song Cloudbusting which was sampled in Something Good which was remixed into Something Good '08. That can't have happened very many times in the history of pop music.
  17. As time goes on, Rent is becoming one of the greatest lyrics ever set to music. It's A Sin is surprisingly low. I'm glad that This Must Be the Place is the highest non-single.
  18. Submitted but a huge chance that someone else has submitted it before me :(
  19. Oh, I totally missed this!
  20. I'll hopefully get inside the top 30 this time.
  21. If PSB aren't licencing their stuff to the yearbooks then we're going to have a 1987 yearbook without them. And that would be a huge disservice to everyone involved.
  22. I haven't been following the earlier yearbook track listings so I dont know how plausable that one is but Erasure are conspicuous by their absence in 1992.
  23. are these real? I can't find any reference anywhere else
  24. Really looking forward to finding out who were the voters who had the patience for Lullaby's slow unfolding.
  25. I didn't disown it, really. I utterly love it. Thanks for the votes, guys. I've loved it for years. Just had a spark of doubt listening to it yesterday that iy might not click with the voters.
