Quite. :lol: 1989 was mosty my work so I must take the blame for this. There's a multitude of factors involved in track selection and we're hoping to improve our skill at this aspect (the most important aspect) of the project. When you've been juggling the same long list of songs for a few weeks your perspective starts to disappear, and this seems to have impacted my ability to cut out the right 20 or more songs to get the list down to below 85. I'm sure things will evolve to be more inclusive in the future.

Is there anything you feel is missing? We'd love to hear suggestions as it will help us with future compilations.

She was on the long list. As was Personal Jesus. We Didn't Start The Fire is on disc 3.

I've been listening to disc 2 this morning. On The Inside is beautiful.

I wouldn't put that among the dance tracks but there is a slight similarity. Have you found anything you like?

There are two possible paths to go here. Firstly, we could just go with the obvious big Britpop stuff and gather the list from the Shine and Best Album in the World Ever compilations and/or go for the less well known bands and promote them. I think in time, we could do both.

The opening track on disc 3 of 1989 isn't something obvious. I just thought it worked for that particular disc.

That's an interesting idea. It would be an eye opener for me, certainly.

At the moment, I am taking care of artwork but others are welcome to share this task.

That's a wonderful way of putting it. It is a community project. We want to expand the BuzzJack brand to Spotify and hopefully provide quality compilations that non-members can find and use. There's so much knowledge on this site and we feel that it's something to be proud of and share.

The work was mostly gooddelta's on 2023.

It turned out to be a rather ballad/slow song heavy year. We'll have 4 discs for 1989. Are there any songs you'd hope to see? We feel we've covered it well - certainly exceeding the Now Yearbook for that year - whenever that gets released.
