:lol:, I've just watched the full rehearsals from the first semi final and my opinion has completely changed again! Talk about wide open this year!

The second spot in the semi final has actually provided quite a large number of qualifiers in the past (since the dual semi format was introduced), so isn't quite the "death slot" it's made out to be. Stuff that's drawn in the middle of the running order tends to be the least luckiest draw wise in the semis.

Rehearsals have made me change my mind slightly... 01 Denmark 02 Russia 03 Ukraine 04 Belarus 05 Netherlands 06 Lithuania 07 Croatia 08 Moldova 09 Serbia 10 Ireland 11 Estonia 12 Slovenia 13 Belgium 14 Montenegro 15 Cyprus 16 Austria The Belgian rehearsal was really rather dull whereas Ireland's wasn't, but even then I think Only Love Survives is a borderline qualifier. Estonia could easily sneak in instead. Hopefully it will grow on me, but it's a real step down in quality from her previous material *Bo Bruce - Golden I absolutely loved her album! Ghost Town and On The Wire were my favourite tracks! *B*Witched - Love And Money Very Kelly Clarkson, but I really like it! Hope there's an album on the way soon! *ESDM - Contigo Hasta El Final (With You Until The End) Very nice track, but I can't see many people picking up their phones to vote for it. Their only hope for points this year really is Ireland! *Kate Ryan - Light In The Dark Not sure what I make of this really. I wish she'd return to reinventing 80's French songs tbh KT Tunstall - Feel It All Have just discovered the "Band Jam" version of this and it's FAR better than the original version! *Marina And The Diamonds & Charli XCX - Just Desserts An interesting partnership and one that works quite well! *Nodi Tatishvili & Sophie Gelovani - Waterfall It's grown on me quite a bit recently, and it could potentially win. Definitely worth an each way bet if you're betting this year? Likewise Greece *Ryan Dolan - Only Love Survives I'm really unsure about whether this will reach the final or not. I like it, but the chorus is lacking lyrically and the second verse is a bit drab whereas Belgium's entry, although more generic, is stronger as a whole. Those two will definitely be fighting each other for a place in the final, but I can't really figure out which will lose out!

I've decided to go Icelandic this time. I was toying with sending an 80's inspired pop song that would have done incredibly well, but figured it was probably a bit too cheap despite the veto process being lifted. That said, the entry I have gone for could potentially have been vetoed too :o

As far as I've heard, the song will be sung by all of the participants in the final. Cannot believe the final won't contain a performance of Euphoria though, absolutely dreadful decision!

Because pretty much every country that would like that sort of music is in the same semi?! I can see significant points coming from Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Armenia, Albania, Georgia and Romania.

Have loved it for absolutely ages so I'm glad it's getting a push again, hopefully it'll get the good chart position it deserves in the UK *Eric Saade - Coming Home Decent enough, certainly a lot better than his last two singles anyway! *Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me I really hope this makes the final, but I have my doubts. Her performance at the London party was phenomenal and you could tell how much she's loving the Eurovision experience! *KT Tunstall - Feel It All Bit of a boring comeback single, I've not got high hopes for the new album :( *Wankelmut & Emma-Louise - My Head Is A Jungle I prefer her original version, but it's nice to see the track get a new lease of life and more exposure as a result!

That Sounds Good To Me was different too as far as I can remember. Not that it helped much, if at all. Likewise They Can't Stop The Spring :kink: Sertab's entry was completely different to the one released on the compilation album as well. The version on the compilation is beyond dire and wouldn't have come anywhere near winning!

I fully expected it though!

Emmelie at the preview party last night... One word, underwhelming. She did an acoustic version though which was quite possibly the problem, but she just seemed to lack charisma altogether. As a result, I'm less convinced about Denmark winning as I was, but do think it'll just about do it. It almost certainly won't be a landslide though. Elsewhere last night, Greece emerged as ones to watch imo, definitely worth an each way bet at 80/1! I'm fairly convinced it's coming top 4. Krista was INCREDIBLE. Whether it'll connect with the viewers and juries in the semi final, I don't know, but her performance last night blew the roof off the place! Likewise Valentina, but I really don't see it qualifying. Natalia & Gianluca were nice, but nothing more than that and Cezar was just Cezar :lol:. Latvia were diabolical, their set felt like it lasted an eternity and they were two of the most irritating people I've ever encountered. Nikki Jamal mimed her way terribly through her performances, as did Sarbel, and John Allison was endearing. Nikki French was amazing, performing Total Eclipse Of The Heart to open the show and Don't Play That Song Again to close.
