Yeah, for the time being at least I'll have to just post it to the Multichart thread. I don't feel I can post it in an individual thread as I may not have time to reply to any comments on it, nor reply to other people's charts. I'll try and pop by here each week though! Glad things are good with you too! I'm rather jealous that you're going to Malmo, especially with Cascada and Loreen (we assume) performing, and a new Bjorn and Benny song too! Plus all the entries this year, except Armenia for me, are actually pretty decent! 04 - Yeah, those are the only countries where I can envisage high public votes for Birds. Switzerland and Hungary too I'd say. 25 - I think Norway might be a little too brash to win and Ukraine's entry has an unusual structure which I think may put people off it. The edit of Glorious would be alright if the first chorus didn't build up before the song gets taken down a notch for the second verse. It just sounds really clunky to me. I wouldn't rule out a UK win at this stage, but I think it unlikely. The song is pleasant enough, but isn't overly special really. 30 - I was surprisingly very impressed with the album myself! 35 - I can only imagine so, I think anyone would be!

Everything's going great thanks! Still doing my volunteering and my uni course which is taking up a lot of my time at the moment, and I've got a new job starting in a couple of weeks time so I'm just hoping I manage to hold them all down! How are things with you? 01 - I checked out Colors a few days ago but sadly wasn't all that keen on it. I do prefer Platinum Chains. 04 - The juries should see it into the top 10 I think, but I can't see it getting much public support at all sadly. 18 - It's better than her last single, but nowhere near as good as songs like Lost Without You. 25 - Shame :( . Georgia is the only entry I can realistically see challenging Denmark for the win due to their huge investment into redeveloping their cities and infrastructure (it must be for something!), but Only Teardrops was a song which gave me that "winner" vibe I've had many times in the past. The only other entry this year that gave me that feeling was Glorious, but they've bizarrely edited out the section that stood them any chance of winning :( 30 - It might! Although I notice I Can has been missed off the UK tracklisting :( Glad I imported the German release now! 35 - Her performance last year was very accomplished, so I always knew she had something like this year's entry in her, it's just a shame the song last year was diabolical and didn't do her justice at all!

Absolutely! Albania will definitely steal the rock vote in SF2. Had Armenia been in SF1, I'd have been a bit more concerned that it would reach the final.

Hey! My comments: 1. Michael Woods - Platinum Chains (1) (CR-29-1-1) Pretty decent, need to get round to sorting out my votes for BJSC! :drama: 4. Anouk - Birds (7) (CR-11-9-10-7-4) This has grown on me so much! I really hope it does well but I feel it'll be the jury that will carry it through to the final. 18. Vanbot - When My Heart Breaks (NEW) (CR-18) I'm not really feeling this single either, she seems to have gone a bit downhill after the first album for me... 25. Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops (35) (CR-8-11-15-21-30-41-45-52-44-41-35-25) I really hope she does turn up to the London show on the weekend, it's the main reason I'm going. I really don't want a repeat of the "Hera Bjork-Volcano" debacle of 2010! 30. Blue - Hurt Lovers (33) (CR-35-OUT-57-33-30) It'll be interesting to see if this does anything in the UK after their brief stint on The Big Reunion. I really like it, but I suspect it'll be their lowest charting single to date 35. Valentina Monetta - Crisalide (Vola) (Re-entry) (CR-46-45-OUT-35) How I'd love to see this in the final! I have serious doubts about it qualifying though... 45. M83 feat Susanne Sundfør - Oblivion (Re-entry) (CR-73-OUT-45) Really nice track! I especially like the piano outro! Fab chart! :D

It's one of the most boring songs in existence. I'll be amazed if it qualifies to the final, especially with Albania in the same semi.

I think the change just allows us to see the 1-7 points for longer. Some spokespersons would jump straight in to giving their 8 points before we'd even had time to compute what other points were given! It sounds like a good idea to me. As for the album, it sounds brilliant! Armenia is the only entry that spoils it. Albania has grown on me the most since hearing the compilation :wub:

I like to get things done quickly incase I forget to do them, plus I had a window to do it today! I did listen to it twice though, in between listening to Phildel's excellent debut album.

Buzzjack Mixtape March 2013 I. A very nice opener. Vocals are sort of Kate Bush like, there appears to be a sitar or something similar going on in the background and some nice beats too. 7/10 II. Bit of a change now. Rather “hipster” sounding, but far more exciting than most of the dross that does well in BJSC. Reminds me of Late Of The Pier, but funkier. 8/10 III. :wub: Sibille Attar’s Come Night. I love this, and have considered sending it to BJSC for a few months now. It would probably undeservedly DNQ if I sent it though, so maybe the compiler of this disc should submit it because they’d probably instantly win said popularity contest. Must remember to buy her album. 10/10 IV. Nice vocals and a pleasant enough accompanying backing track. It’s quite retro sounding, like a slightly jazzed up version of Anouk’s Birds. I’m getting a Concretes sort of vibe from it too. 7/10 V. One for fans of The Cure, Joy Division etc. I think. Not quite my cup of tea, but it’s pleasant enough. 5/10 VI. Female punk pop. Like an indie friendly Sinead Mulvey & Black Daisy. Another decent track, but not something I’ll rush back to 6/10 VII. Fairly decent pop-rock track. Vocals are similar to Tegan & Sara, or one of them at least. The rest of it sounds a bit Speedway like. Quite like it! 7/10 VIII. Hipster Rick Astley. It’s alright I suppose 5/10 IX. Sounds like one of those quite generic but fairly decent fempop songs Scandipop writes about every day. I like it though, and do vaguely recognise it. Probably from either said blog or Popjustice. There’s a particularly brilliant instrumental section around the 2 minute mark and after that, the song continues to grow on me. Definitely a keeper 9/10 X. Fairly good, sounds like a slowed down version of Track 3. 7/10 XI. Pleasant. Quite a chilled song. It hasn’t got much of a melody though so I’m not feeling it as much as others perhaps would. 5/10 XII. Ugh, It’s got one of those squeaky voices that absolutely RUINS songs for me. Prance Faris, I’m looking at you. The music is nice enough, once again quite chilled, but that voice is detestable. 4/10 XIII. Love, love, love this! Sounds like something I’d expect from the highly anticipated MS MR album. I’m not aware of this song being one of theirs though, so I will probably have to check out whoever has made this track. 9/10 XIV. A loud, dramatic piano driven track. Liking it quite a bit! 8/10 XV. Hmm, I found this track quite hard going. It’s got quite an awkward beat and an annoying trumpet accompaniment. Another retro style song, but not the sort of retro I like really. 3/10 XVI. Final track and a stunning one to close the compilation with. It’s quite long, but I love the music and the vocals are wonderful. Another definite keeper. 9/10 So, I’m fairly convinced this is Johnkm’s CD, which is something I’ve assumed since Sibille Attar showed up as I’ve seen it in his chart. On the whole, it’s quite a strong collection with some fantastic highlights. Tracks 9, 13 and 16 are my favourite discoveries and will most likely be the ones I’ll cherish from receiving this album in the CD swap. Looking forward to finding out who is behind each of those tracks. Thanks for compiling this CD!
