I can't believe it's been a year since we first heard Euphoria! It still sounds as brilliant now as it did back then! :D Everytime We Touch is still very much my favourite Cascada track, just ahead of Miracle, Why You Had To Leave, A Neverending Dream and Glorious! Thanks Adam! :D 01 - I hope they do too! I was expecting Glorious to sound almost identical to Euphoria, but instead it sort of sounds like a hybrid of Euphoria and My Heart Is Refusing Me! It makes for a very good track indeed! 06 - Me too, but part of me was expecting it. It's too similar to last year's entry and Iceland were probably never going to choose something they know wouldn't get them a really good result. That said, I don't think any of the songs left in their NF will earn them a decent placing at Eurovision. 10 - It has been a bit of a mess! I do like some GA ballads, the two you mentioned and Whole Lotta History are wonderful. See The Day was a right dud of a track though :puke2: 21 - Me neither! It still sounds as good as it did back then one year on though! 52 - Me too! It should be pretty good! :D

Thanks! Thanks Tom! :D 10 - It's release was too close to Something New for me to feel like charting it last month. Now feels like the right time, plus I haven't really listened to it much before charting it so it still feels quite fresh to me! 14 - Yeah, it peaked at #14! I really liked it! :D 15 - Indeed, although after that performance at the NTAs, maybe it's a good thing! 27 - I agree, I liked her retro sound! 45 - Yep, it's really good! My favourite single from them so far! 56 - Yeah :( PSB are one of those acts I should absolutely adore, but I seldom like their music as much as I should do. Cascada's track has grown on me a lot recently, would love to see it in Eurovision! Either them or Ben Ivory anyway! Thanks Rich! :D 01 - Yep, would love for Germany to pick this! Their last number one for me was Why You Had To Leave, one of the rare occasions where an album track hit #1 on my chart! Glorious is their third #1 on my chart, they've had a really hit and miss history with me: 24 How Do You Do 01 Everytime We Touch 33 Wouldn't It Be Good 04 Truly Madly Deeply 03 Miracle 06 A Neverending Dream 17 What Hurts The Most/Last Christmas 34 Who Do You Think You Are? 34 What Do You Want From Me? 40 Because The Night 70 Faded 100 Perfect Day 01 Why You Had To Leave 07 Evacuate The Dancefloor 07 Dangerous 25 Fever 12 Pyromania 16 San Francisco 46 Au Revoir 45 Summer Of Love 01 Glorious 06 - I'm so sad Augnablik went out, but I can understand why. It would be pretty pointless Iceland sending it if Never Forget couldn't do much points wise! I think one of those two you like will win, but I do have doubts at present about how those tracks would do at Eurovision. It would depend on what they were up against! 20 - I don't think all of them have been released yet! This and Cascada are by far my favourites of the ones I've heard though! 22 - Possibly :kink: Catch Me has grown on me, but Allergic was epic! 46 - Agreed! 57 - Yeah! It was a really pleasant surprise! I didn't think very much of the first two albums, they were OK at best, but this latest album is far better I think! I can't believe it's been 10 years either since we watched Jemini and t.A.T.u. murdering their entries! It was such a brilliant contest though! Hardly any bad entries amongst the field, only Israel, Ukraine and Estonia contributed bad entries! Not quite! :kink: Yeah, it was a big drop for Something New, but I am absolutely LOVING a huge amount of songs right now! Literally everything in the top 7 here could have been #1 this week! Thanks Liam! It would have been nice, but that performance was so nervy that it came across really bad sadly! Hope it helps the album out a bit! How did you leave it with Marco? I'm sure he'd welcome you back!

Only Teardrops could possibly be the winner, it's modern yet will appeal to a wide audience. Really good choice from Denmark!
  4. Perfect qualifiers in Norway tonight! So happy :D

Gutted for Augnablik, I guess Iceland just want to send something different from last year. They probably know Augnablik would only get them a bottom half finish at best despite it being a great track. 100% behind Birgitta now, but I don't think any of the songs left will be strong enough to get Iceland into the final.

Oh, for some reason I thought Norway was on at 8! That's alright then!

Norway's been put on the back burner tonight for me, it's all about DMGP and Augnablik! Gutted the two shows clash, but I'm hoping all the songs will have been performed in DMGP by the time Augnablik comes on!
  8. I may not have been able to survive that long! :kink:
  9. Possibly. They've always been a bit funny with the qualifiers being available to listen to before all the entries have been performed.

Augnablik must win! Not overly surprised at the qualifiers, but I am disappointed. Ég á líf was rubbish, but it was the only track tonight where I remembered how the chorus went so I'm not surprised it went through.
  11. To stop people making mp3 rips of the whole songs I'd guess.
  12. I concur!
  13. You're welcome to join in the contest! If you do want to want to take part, then please register a country name and capital city in this thread and then when you're ready, send your desired entry to Tom :D
  14. Oh yes, Vardlokk was divine! Every year there's at least one huge MGP voting disaster... You And I 2012; Allergic & Vardlokk 2011; Be Good To Me 2010; Ride & Carrie 2009; Always Always 2008... :(
  15. From the clips, it seems like Ulvetuva will be my favourite in this heat. Hoping that it and Margaret Berger's track can make the final, but I fear both could well fail to make it through thanks to the very questionable voting that goes on in Norway
  16. Silya Nymoen co-writing the Shackles track sounds pretty promising considering how good her overshadowed-by-Loreen entry, Euphoria was last year. Not heard the Margaret Berger track yet, but the fact it's co-written by Karin Park makes it seem like it could be all kinds of amazing!

That would be amazing, Water was very much a defining moment of the 2007 contest

It all definitely sounds far more positive than Woolworths, it's just I have the memory of us being promised a positive outcome at Woolworths and it didn't end as we thought it would. It's a once bitten, twice shy kind of thing. I really hope they do sort the company out for the better though as it would be a huge shame to lose HMV in the UK & Ireland.

I did say that the problems are very different, but I'm just saying that Hilco aren't the 100% guarantee of a company's survival! It probably will work out for HMV in the end (albeit with major streamlining), but it wouldn't be wise to get overly excited about Hilco's involvement just yet. It is good that a company has stepped in, we've just got to hope their heart is in making the company a success rather than deciding to sell off as much as they can as quickly as they can. With regards to Woolworths, many former Woolworths stores were reoccupied by companies that are rather similar to Woolworths anyway (Poundland, B&M Bargains etc), so I do think Woolworths could have had a future (if it hadn't had so much debt!), just with less departments and more competitive prices.

I can see the good side to all of this, but when Hilco joined forces with Deloitte in managing Woolworths, we as staff were told about how brilliant it was and that the company would be fine, etc. A month later we were out of work. It could very well turn out differently for HMV, and the two businesses had/have very different problems but I'm just saying that just because Hilco have stepped in, it doesn't necessarily mean everything's going to turn out fine.

This is the same Hilco that wound up Woolworths I'm guessing...?

I'm lost this year without that blog! :drama:

Best episode of the series so far, but the ending was really rather abrupt. Hopefully the next episode will pick up exactly where the storyline left off as we still have no idea if Miranda and Gary will become an item! No Tilly this time again though! :( I think her absence was the only thing that this episode lacked. Highlight for me was Gary turning on the drill for the first time

Denmark will never go for it, but I adore that Frederikke track  I'm also loving the Kate Hall track, but again it won't go anywhere. Brinck's track is beyond dull, but sadly I can see it at least reaching the final stages of voting in DMGP.
