  1. True, but that doesn't make it any less annoying that radio took so long to catch onto the song, when she could have easily have climbed to #1 this week given her digital sales. Regardless, On the Floor has done all the legwork, and hopefully her next single will get more airplay, faster.
  2. Unfortunately, due to the fact that US radio only seems to be grudingly playing her (her AI is 21.484 currently), it won't get any higher as she's dropped on iTunes. She also just missed out from getting #1 on the Digital Chart, Katy Perry was only a thousand more sales ahead (216,000 to 215,000 thousand).

No problem. And I'm beginning to doubt whether Muprhy knows where he's taking the show, he seems to change his mind so much. I mean they go to Nationals and then what? I would ideally love the third season to be about the characters graduating and moving on in the world, and to realise that the Glee club won't be around forever and they can't all be stars (basically the ideas of 'Dreams' but explored throughout the whole season) and for them to deal with issues like Quinn's baby (I think this has to come back up at some point), Santana finally coming out etc and for them to basically grow up. Be more about character development then concentrating on the already well worn route of sections to regionals. Ideally, there would be no competition next year (of course that will never happen).

I guess I'm the only one that didn't like this episode, bar the fabulous Hell to The No, Trouty Mouth and Loser Like Me. It was so rushed, in fact the structure for this season as a whole has been appalling. I don't know how the hell they are going to drag this show out for a third season, as the whole thing has become very repetitive, right down the jokes about the judges which were almost the exact same as the jokes they made about the judges at sectionals in Season One. It's just pure forumalic, uninspiring mess. The only thing giving me hope is Santana. Also, Silas,
  6. Yup, I think it's just Japan that's getting Scary.
  7. Immense. She turns up at 2:46. vPqV7Hmq5WU&feature=player_embedded#at=393 Love seeing her having fun, and it's a great moment when she crowd surfs and her secuity team flips out. Also, when she drops the fan but styles it out with a fierce exit walk.
  8. Meh. Covering it at another concert. a0HuS6iYQVc&feature=player_embedded

This is what I imagine Rachel Berry would make if she ever decided to do a "club banger". Although, I must say I feel for her seat dilemma. Been there many a time. I'll keep her in my prayers <3
  10. 3-8-4-4 is not a bad chart run. Should only drop to 6 or 7 next week too.
  11. Till The World Ends – 5.5/10 – Generic yes, and it grew old fast, but it’s still an infectious pop song. Hold It Against Me – 7.5/10 – The beat and production is a lot fresher than TTWE, was the perfect choice for lead single. Inside Out – 6.5/10 – It’s nice to get a slow song, and it’s very slick, and the lyrics have an edge and darkness to them the other songs don’t. Surprised because I didn’t like the clip. I Wanna Go – 7.5/10 – Now this is what I’m talking about, does what TTWE does but far, far better. It’s more fun and the whistles is a nice production flourish that gives it an edge over just being a generic club banger <3 How I Roll – 10/10 – Excellent and as has been said, it’s very Robyn-esq, the production is fantastic, and the piano background gives it an almost emotional edge, very layered. Probably the only song from the album I can still see myself listening to six months from now. (Drop Dead) Beautiful- 4/10 – Don’t like her voice in it, in fact it borders on irritating, especially the "I can be your honey tonight" line. It’s generic and forgettable: filler. Even Sabi doesn’t do much for me. The worst on the album. Seal It With A Kiss – 9/10 – Wonderful song, the dubstep breakdown and beat is fantastic and the backing vocals help it float along in a dream-like way. Big Fat Bass – 6/10 – Guilty pleasure from the album, I think it works well despite the negative comments about it. It's filler though, and should have been replaced with something that could have diversified the album more. Trouble For Me – 6.5/10 – The production is v good and I like her vocals in it. The chorus is a bit of a let down though. Same comment as above, four club banging songs in a row is a bit too much. Trip to Your Heart -8/10 – Lovely, dream-like trance song. Once again the middle 8 is very Robyn-esq. Gasoline – 7/10 – Really like her vocals in this, solid song, really like the Middle 8 as well. Very Britney-sounding. Criminal – 10/10 – Brilliant closing song, the melody, vocals, middle 8 and that flute! These last two tracks are very classic Britney. Another song I will be listening to long after the other more production/club heavy songs have vanished from my memory. 1) How I Roll – 10/10 2) Criminal – 10/10 3) Seal It With a Kiss – 9/10 4) Trip to Your Heart – 8/10 5) Hold It Against Me – 7.5/10 6) I Wanna Go – 7.5/10 7) Gasoline – 7/10 8) Inside Out – 6.5/10 9) Trouble for Me – 6.5/10 10) Big Fat Bass – 6/10 11) Till The World Ends – 5.5/10 12) (Drop Dead) Beautiful – 4/10 Overall her album is strong, but it’s not particularly diverse and the autotune can be a bit too much to listen to after a while, it would be nice if we could have another Trip To Your Heart or Criminal on there. Maybe on the bonus tracks?
  12. Lady GaGa performing an A Capella version of Born This Way on the piano @ the Monster Ball in Columbus, Ohio on 10/03/11. dVtF7H5qT7Q&feature=player_embedded#at=11 LOVE. My favourite piano performance by her, if this is what the stripped back release is going to sound like :drama:
  13. Damn straight! I am currently obsessed with her after reading the books (about 1/4 through the third now, I never want it to end!) and watching her in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie. Although, this is Rooney Mara's Salander not Noomi Rapace. The American remake is probably my most anticpated movie of 2011, and that goes against every normal instinct in my body. Hai again, same here, I swing wilding back and forth on that track. It feels like many different songs crammed into one, but 'the bass is getting BIGGER' is such a standout moment across the whole album. Hopefully the bonus tracks won't be too much longer, I'm dying to hear Scary.
  14. Totally agree with you, Michael Giacchino's score is so beautiful and moving. Plus, it helps me to forget how crap Lost became. Although my personal favourite theme is probably Parting Words or Life and Death. In general scores tend to make me more emotional than most songs. Another track that gets me, I think I must have has this on loop after I got back from watching the movie. A few others then: Lisa Gerrard - End Theme Very ethereal and powerful and one of my favourite movie themes. Fun fact: she's not singing in a different language, she's just making it up. She's Australian. _c1x55t51uc&feature=related Bear McCreary - Admiral and Commander DZdS2KKvwVo Along with Michael Giacchino, Bear McCreary pretty much revolutionised the way television shows could be scored, although in my opinion the themes in Battlestar Galactica are more moving than the ones created for Lost. This being my favourite. Sia - Breathe Me eNwARV9tPUw Also, Breathe Me by Sia is a song that never fails to get me going, especially now that I have it forever connected to the end of Six Feet Under, when they used it for their final scene. Even if you haven't watched the show, I would urge you to watch it, simply because it works in it's own right and is incredibly moving. The best example of a song being used for a montage, perhaps ever? Also, pretty much every song ever created by Robyn.
  15. How big is Target in America? I've never heard of it before I read the article.
  16. I'm pretty excited to hear bonus track Scary, the people who have heard it seem to be praising it to high heavens; apparantly another case of should have been on the main album.
  17. Very true, it's more about sales than position, but I think it's quite ironic the album has sold so much but never topped the charts. I wonder if she will ever have a hit as big as her first two singles. Thinking about it now, I've never quite appreciated what an astonishing feat it was for a new artist to have come out the gates and done that, not with just their debut, but the follow-up single as well.
  18. US Sales Update (Album sales correct as of 17th March 2011, single sales correct as of 10th March 2011) Just Dance: 6,038,000 (#1) Poker Face: 6,000,000 (#1) LoveGame: 2,337,000 (#5) Paparazzi: 2,916,000 (#6) The Fame: 4,084,273 (#2) Bad Romance: 4,649,000 (#2) Telephone: 2,810,000 (#3) Alejandro – 2,101,000: (#5) The Fame Monster: 1,431,841 (#5) Born This Way – 1,474,000 (#1) Poker Face should surpass Just Dance to become her biggest hit in America in the next few weeks, considering how quickly it followed JD past the 6 million milestone (a pretty exlusive club, considering the only other act to have a single reach that milestone is BEP with I Gotta Feeling). It looks like Paparazzi will also top 3 million sales soon, and Telelphone won't be too far behind. Bad Romance will no doubt reach 5 million sales in the near future as well. The Fame has also passed the 4 million milestone, a pretty impressive figure considering the sales climate for albums. It's currently still holding strong at #37 in the Billboard Top 200. It could recieve another boost when the next album and single is released too. Despite all her success it's quite surprising to think she still hasn't had a No.1 album yet.
  19. No idea, initial rumours said March but I haven't heard anything since.
  20. According to another forum, the bonus tracks are going to leak soon too.
  21. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Circus leak around the same time? And that managed 500k+ in the US in its first week.
  22. DO IT! You know you want to.
  23. I was pleasantly surprised by Big Fat Bass, I thought it was awful after the snippet, but I really liked the full song in the end. My initial impression is that the album overall is very strong, and I went in thinking it was going to be dull, as everything we heard about the album and the latter snippets suggested that most of the tracks were going to be filler, generic club bangers. So glad that the only song that fell into that trap was Drop Dead Beautiful (and maybe Gasoline) which is a painfully average song. I fear however that it won't hold up to repeat listens as it isn't as diverse in style as say Rihanna's Loud, I guess I'll have to see. Rate time after one listen. 1) How I Roll - Second listen and it is just such a killer track. The melody, production. Amazing. There's quite a melancholy edge to the backing music at points too. 2) I Wanna Go - Not as much of a smash as the snippet suggested, maybe my expectations were too high. Clearly should be the third single though. 3) The Big Fat Bass 4) Trip to Your Heart 5) Criminal 6) Seal It With a Kiss 7) Trouble for Me 8) Inside Out 9) Gasoline 10) (Drop Dead) Beautiful
  24. It really is, it was my favourite from all the clips and the full song exceeded my expectations.
  25. Listening now, I Wanna Go and How I Roll are the standouts for me so far. Inside Out is also better in full then the snippet suggested. Nice bit of dubstep sound in Seal It With a Kiss as well.
