  1. Could someone send me a link to the songs please?
  2. GaGa has severed the contract with Target because she is still unhappy about their political donations. Source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/03/08/l...t_n_833209.html
  3. Have made my mind up and sent my entry :D I'm sure a few people will have heard it, but I love this too much not to send it.
  4. This is going to be a very front loaded single compared to Bad Romance, which built as time went on. They have completely different contexts so you can't really compare them. If she had released on the Sunday as planned there would have been no question of her getting #1, but alas she did not, and her biggest two days weren't counted towards her first full week. I expect Born This Way to slip starting sometime soon as the video effect wears off, the only thing a physical would do would be to mainitain a position in the Top 10. I'm content with it's success, hopefully by the time this era is done BTW would have sold consistently in the long run, it's still early days yet. I expect Judas will do better, peak wise, as it will be released when her promotion for the album will be at its hightest.
  5. I've either got a completely instrumental track, that is amazing and I have wanted to enter since UP1, but it's pretty much EVERYWHERE now or a song that while good, will prove as divisive as my last entry. Undecided.
  6. There's nothing more frustrating than a good film having a porr trailer, I will pick it up if I come across it in HMV. Finally got a bit of spare cash, so investing it in a few movies.
  7. I think you've mentioned it before haha it's directed by Kevin Smith, who I know you love, but why do you like the film so much? It looks pretty average from the trailer, and if it wasn't for the person who directed it and it's cult reputation, I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it. Also, Ben Affleck's hair looks DREADFUL.
  8. My vote definitely goes to Dark City, didn't even know it existed until I watched the trailer and it looks amazing; Chasing Amy wasn't far behind and I've already seen Crazy Heart. But Angel Eyes? Really?
  9. MbPW6bSzFVs WEED SONG.
  10. Maria Aragon and Lady GaGa performing Born This Way together @ the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. D'awww. LEB3nnIsAmQ&feature=player_embedded
  11. No one really knows, it's either an edited version of the real track which repeats the same parts or it's a remix, hopefully not though as the beat is fantastic as it is. The only thing GaGa said was that it was a "preview".
  12. Six Feet Under, Battlestar Galactica, The Sopranos, Deadwood, The Wire, Mad Men, Big Love, Arrested Development, The West Wing, True Blood, Lost, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Damages, Oz?
  13. I really like the tribal sounding backing to the Oh Oh's, very anthemic and the most commerical sounding from all the clips I've heard, but it seems to be veering close to sounding like a spare track that wasn't included on Cannibal. I don't know whether that's a good thing or not. Obviously it's difficult to judge from such a short clip, but it didn't grab me as much as I-I-I Wanna Go-o-o did, but I think it sounds like a hit regardless.
  14. Or maybe you only don't like it because GaGa is the one wearing it? You seem to have been doing NOTHING on here lately but posting snidy comments which gets quite tiresome to read. tqXSB7glctg Video of the Runway show from Government Hooker onwards.
  15. Adele is on 9.409 AI (+ 0.314) as of today, so radio are still being reluctant in playing her despite her terrific album and digital single sales over there. However, it could grow over time, we will just have to wait and see. Same goes for J-Lo who's on 10.773 AI (+ 0.233) which is a pretty poor increase for such a radio friendly and high selling song. Katy is taking off with ET now though after a slow start. As of today she's on 21.365 AI (+ 2.528), she's getting huge increases at the moment, so it's not out of the question for her to climb to the top in the coming weeks.
  16. I sent it to you through PM, but I don't want to/am not allowed to post a link to an illegal download in the thread itself.
  17. Isn't it just? I love the whole remix of Scheiße/Government Hooker/Born This Way. My actual jam right now. Hopefully a video is released soon too, I feel so spoiled that the audio was leaked so early.
  18. Got the download link for anyone that wants it.
  19. GaGa just owned that walkway, I thought her nerves might have got the better off her. But wow. Also, thanks Frank for the audio.
  20. To be honest I didn't even really take in the music, I just loved the whole spectacle of it.
  21. f*** me I think I'm dying from the sheer FIERCENESS of the whole thing. Put your hands on me, John F Kennedy. Plus the age old wisdom: If I vomit, at least it will be good press!
  22. 01 Born This Way 02 Bad Romance 03 Paparazzi 04 Alejandro 05 Telephone 06 Poker Face 07 LoveGame 08 Just Dance 09 Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)
  23. The two people I really agree with in this thread, I don't think there's anything more to add. I'd rank it only behind Bad Romance, and I think even then, it's a close call. The production, the art direction, directing, story - she is pushing the boat out for herself as an artist and I'm loving every minute of it.
  24. I can't see Tom Hooper winning best director, I think it very much belongs to Fincher. Although it's a two horse race between The King's Speech and The Social Network to win Best Film, however we will find out who has won that after they hand out the Oscar for editing. The night is really going to belong to those two films. You're spot on regarding Hailee though, if there's an upset it will be there, and while she gives the best performance out of everyone in her catergory, I don't like how they bascially cheated to try and get her a win. I'm very much in Weaver's corner for that award, it's a towering performance but sadly Animal Kingdom has gone largely unnoticed besides her performance, not to mention it's an Australian film so makes it even less likely even though she's apparantly hit the circuit. Also, Benning on the other hand keeps out of the circuit, so it's no surprise she won't win it this year, although she is very much back in the game now, and has a few Oscar-baiting films out in the near future, so expect her to finally win the darn thing in 2012. Bale is also coming into doubt now as well as Leo, as Oscar commentators have been switching their predictions recently in favour of a Rush win. My predictions: Best Motion Picture of the Year The King's Speech or The Social Network (genuinely can't tell) Best Achievement in Directing David Fincher, The Social Network Best Performance by an Actor in Leading Role Colin Firth, The King's Speech Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role Natalie Portman, Black Swan Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role Geoffrey Rush, The King's Speech Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role Hailee Steinfeld, True Grit Best Original Screenplay The King's Speech: David Seidler Best Adapted Screenplay Aaron Sorkin, The Social Network Best Animated Feature Film Toy Story 3 What I want: Best Motion Picture of the Year The Social Network Best Achievement in Directing David Fincher, The Social Network Best Performance by an Actor in Leading Role James Franco, 127 Hours Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role Nicole Kidman, Rabbit Hole Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role Christian Bale, The Fighter Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role Jacki Weaver, Animal Kingdom Best Original Screenplay Inception: Christopher Nolan Best Adapted Screenplay Aaron Sorkin, The Social Network Best Animated Feature Film Toy Story 3
