How do you compile your chart?
I understand this completely, I stopped because it took me forever to get my chart the way I wanted it, and it had a complex layout. On top of shcool work, I couldn't keep up. Hopefully now, if I'm more organised, and having now simplified my layout and how I compile my chart, I will be able to keep up. Also starting from scatch again means I can now keep a record of my chart, the chart runs and the layout, so it shouldn't be too much of a chore. I find it very interesting the different methods people have.

Good Delta Hit Parade: 10th May 2010
5. Sheelah - Psycho (2) (CR-9-3-3-1-2-5) Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for introducing me to this stunning track, with one of the best hooks I've heard in a while :wub: 7. Richard Vission & Static Revenger starring Luciana - I Like That (13) (CR-36-20-13-7) I am only just starting to listen to the BJSC entries, and I loved this instantly. Lovely to hear Luciana again. 8. Robyn - Dancing On My Own (4) (CR-7-4-8) A very moving song 10. Hera Björk - Je Ne Sais Quoi (32) (CR-50-17-9-8-11-20-32-OUT-28-31-28-37-25-32-10) This set my pulse racing, a great dance track 11. Katie Melua - The Flood (17) (CR-43-21-21-17-11) One of my favourite songs I've heard all year, there is just so much to it, and it has one of my favourite videos of all time. I would love to take a ride on that piano :kink: 14. B.o.B. feat Bruno Mars - Nothin’ On You (29) (CR-41-35-33-29-14) Great summer tune, although I prefer Airplanes. 15. Diana Vickers - Once (10) (CR-30-30-42-OUT-30-17-13-4-10-15) Like Jon, despite loving this at first, other album tracks have outshone it for me. I was so happy when this went to No.1. 18. Diana Vickers - Notice (NEW) (CR-18) Probably my favourite album track, has to be a single. 22. Alicia Keys - Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart (26) (CR-2-1-1-3-4-6-11-12-16-16-18-25-OUT-31-26-22) Longest Runner One of my favourite Alicia Keys songs, I will never get bored of it 23. Jason DeRülo - Ridin’ Solo (43) (CR-47-OUT-43-23) A great summer tune, and love the chorus, improvement on his previous two singles. 30. Kelly Rowland - Commander (47) (CR-47-30) Stunning. Stunning. Stunning. Major wubage :heart: 31. Le Kid - Escape (NEW) (CR-31) A nice, standout track from the BJSC entries I've heard so far 32. Alexandra Burke feat Pitbull - All Night Long (49) (CR-40-32-37-40-49-OUT-49-32) My favourite track from Overcome, so glad it's a single 34. Lady GaGa - Alejandro (40) (CR-45-24-37-32-23-23-OUT-40-34) One of my favourites from The Fame Monster. 39. Alexandra Burke - The Map (NEW) (CR-39) I really, really like this song, but I'm not a fan of Alex's tone, which is why although she has some amazing songs, it prevents me from loving them as much as I should. 40. B.o.B feat Hayley Williams - Airplanes (22) (CR-42-24-22-40) This is my summer tune, Hayley Williams makes this song for me. 41. Diana Vickers - The Boy Who Murdered Love (NEW) (CR-41) Another stand out album track. 44. Krause - Soaring Through The Starlight (NEW) (CR-44) I think this is a grower, I liked it on first listen, but I have a feeling I am going to love it after enough plays. Great and interesting chart ^_^

How do you compile your chart?
That's an interesting method. I used to have a 'chart' playlist, and all the songs I like, or am obsessed with, go in there. I then put them into order of preference as I go along, and when I come to make the chart I "freeze" it. I also keep track of the plays of that week, and then allocate points for the most played, and most 'liked' and finally combine them. Although from now on, I'm doing it just from preference, as it less time consuming. Also, I noticed in your personal chart, you have pop bars. Is that random based on how much you like a song?

Daniel Gleek's Weekly Chart.
Daniel Gleek's Weekly Chart Hello and welcome to my first personal chart in a long while. And as I've lost all my previous chart runs, it looks like I will be starting over from scratch :P (for example, Alejandro has been in my Top 5, and Running Up That Hill was No.1 for the last three weeks of my chart before I stopped). This week I have been in a Transatlaticism mood, with four songs from their magnificent fourth LP making my Top 10, and the title track claiming my first 'Song of the Week.' My chart is lacking new releases, as I haven't been buying new songs much at the moment, instead buying older songs, and listening to some I've had for ages. Also a BJSC discovery has made it's debut at No.14, had I made this chart last week, it would have gone staight in at No.1 :kink: http://cdn.hmvdigital.com/static/img/sleeveart/00/000/003/0000000337_200.jpg R-fJ9ROrW08 1) Placebo - Every You Every Me [1- 2) Beyoncé - Why Don't You Love Me [2- 3) Death Cab for Cutie - Tiny Vessels [3- 4) Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism [4- 5) Counting Crows - Colorblind [5- 6) Jonathon Groff - Totally F***ed [6- 7) Death Cab for Cutie - Passenger Seat [7- 8) Death Cab for Cutie - Expo '86 [8- 9) Glee Cast - What It Feels Like for a Girl [9- 10) Glee Cast - Burning Up (feat. Inception (From the Director of The Dark Knight)
A synopsis of the plot has been released and while there are no major spoilers, due to the intense secrecy surrounding the plot, I've put it in spoilers as some people may wish to remain in the dark about what the film is about. Here are two new posters, which I think are great and atmospheric, it seems like they are really banking on the star power of DeCaprio. Official Poster http://www.empireonline.com/images/image_index/hw800/41488.jpg Imax Poster http://www.empireonline.com/images/image_index/hw800/41597.jpg And OH.MY.GOD at the third, and final, trailer. My mind has just been blown :o This was at first only available to people who played the online game, Mind Crime, and only if you made into a cinema in the virtual world. But now it has been released for the rest of us to see. I'm already loving the score :wub: Hopefully Hans Zimmer will match what he did with The Dark Knight. How do you compile your chart?
So I'm thinking of re-starting my personal chart after I stopped doing them, due to struggling to keep up with it. But I was wondering how do people compile their charts? Do you simply put the songs in order of preference, or do you base it on plays? Do you have a points sytem? Popularity bars? If so, how do you calculate it? For the last two weeks I did my personal charts, I did a mix of both plays and preference. So if I had 40 songs in my chart, I would give 40 points to the song I like the most, and then my 2nd favourite song that week gets 39 points etc. etc. I would then have a seperate points system based on plays, and I would then combine the points. I prefered doing it like that, as it made it more unpredictable for myself. What about you?

bjsc_twenty_six :: odds
Which is a shame as Ricky gave me my best odds :kink: Judging from people's odds overall, it's looking unlikely I will be able to beat the Asian Pop curse, despite my efforts at making a persuasive sig :lol: As long as I've surprised people with the entry, and some people loved enjoyed listening to it, then it's all good.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
I know, they are such a tease :drama: I've never understood the lust for Robert Pattinson. Even with airbrushing, his face is just :puke2:

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
A test screening of Eclipse has had an overwhelmingly positive reception, according to reports. Although, seeing as it was most likely atteneded by the most hardcore of the Twihards that comes as no surprise :P Oprah Winfrey was also there. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/news/a2...ed-by-fans.html By the way, shallow as it sounds, I am totally lusting over Taylor Lautner in that poster :wub: Even though I have a soft spot for New Moon (I read it in one night while on holiday, and it wasn't until then that I fell in love with the books and the story) Eclipse is overall my favourite book (I even, pathetic as it sounds, shed a tear at the end, as you can probably tell I am more of a Jacob/Bella supporter. The arguments I've had with my friend over Eclipse, and the ending, have been vicious :P). However, I still haven't read Breaking Dawn for some strange reason :wacko: Even though the films have flaws (the acting and dialogue can be extremely wooden at times) overall I think they have been some of the best teenage movies we have had for a while, the score and soundtracks have been incredible, and while I admit that I dislike the often OTT hype that has surrounded the saga, the fact that it has encouraged a whole generation of younger people to pick up a book and start reading, it can only be a good thing (similar to the effect that Harry Potter had and is probably still having).

"Why Don't You Love Me?" • Promotional Single
Sorry MrLovett for the duplicate thread, it was moved from the R&B forum. I love, love, love it. I like the retro style and sound, which ironically sounds rather fresh. From just one listen it is one of my favourite songs by her, and one of my favourite videos (especially the in-joke, when Beyonce is dusting her extensive Grammy collection :P) I love that is is upbeat and tongue in cheek. It's nice to see a video that is a bit more fun and chilled out, and it is perfect for the summer (although it does have an edge - does mistress style Beyonce kill herself at the end?). Can't wait to see the other videos :wub: By the way AaronTM Beyonce co-wrote it with her sister along with The Bama Boyz.

My bad, Jonjo. Well, I didn't see it as I posted this is the R&B forum. Feel free to delete it, if it is a problem.

"Why Don't You Love Me?" • Promotional Single
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/46/WhyDon'tYouLoveMe.png/220px-WhyDon'tYouLoveMe.png The retro style Why Don't You Love Me is a bonus track from Beyoncé's I Am...Sasha Fierce era that is on every edition of the album bar the standard edition. It peaked last year at #1 on the Hot Dance Club Songs Chart (making it the thirteenth time she has topped that particular chart). Despite claiming she is going on haitus, she released a remix bundle of the song in the US in Januray , which has caused speculation this is going to be a new single. And on addinf fuel to the fire, on May 1st a one minute teaser for the video was released, and this week, it was followed up with the full music video being released. It is a 50's housewife-mistress style retro video, that despite the subject matter, is rather upbeat and tongue in cheek. There is also a nice in-joke, where Beyonce is seen dusting her extensive Grammy collection :P It's nice to see a video that is a bit more fun, less serious and more chilled out, and is perfect for the summer. Obviously, it still isn't confirmed she will be releasing it as a single in America, let alone worldwide, but for the mean time we can appreciate this stunning video and, either way, it should hopefully improve sales for her album. Lost: Season 6
No, I don't think so, although I'm open for anything to happen. And I'm glad other people agree, it seemed rather selfish of the characters and a bit convoulted in general but I will let it slide :P and I know what you mean about the mini-breakdown, these scenes are needed if deaths are going to have any impact on the audience, or if you want to make the characters more believeable so I'm glad they included it. I also agree about the last stretch, by the way the episode ended, $h!t is really going to hit the fan now.

Lost: Season 6
Don't forget Claire :P But I know what you mean, I had the same feeling at the end of Season Four. The show has changed so much since Season One. I might have done, I don't shut-up about it (I'm pretty sure I talked about it already on this very thread) :P But you really, really have to watch BSG (I think in another thread you said you had already begun watching Caprica, although I may be mistaken). I think it is the most similar show to Lost out there (Darlton mentioned watching the finale, to see how they went about ending an equally complex show) and if you love the characters devlopment on Lost, then you will adore how much they exlpore all the characters on BSG, it's even been critised for being too in love with their characters, you will dislike every character at least once throughout the show. The mythology as well is immense, and will definitely satisfy your needs after Lost (there have been webisodes as well, and a TV movie, with further future TV show spin-off on top of Caprica planned because the universe they created is so rich) it's one of the few television programmes around to have won the prestigious Peabody award (only one television show a year is awarded with this, other shows that have won it include The Wire) and more so than Lost, BSG has real social and political commentary, the complexity of how to govern and police the last remaining humans constantly on the run and in fear of extermination is explored thoroughly and entertainingly. (I'm sure I've posted this trailer before, I think to show Rooney, so sorry if I have, although I think this trailer is great at giving people a flavour of what BSG is about, and the sheer scope of it) q2x14ZhEc9k Phew, sorry for the long speech but I am very passionate about the show. Also, Six Feet Under, you have to put it on your list. Best show that has ever graced the small screen bar none. The final episode is a masterpiece. Six Feet Under heavily inspired others shows such as Nip / Tuck and Rescue Me. wYUJZSl3V4E This really manages to sum up Six Feet Under well and once again give you a feel for the show, it also stars the amazing Micheal C. Hall (from Dexter) and Frances Conroy (who Arthur Miller called the best modern actress working today) although once this video ends, I wouldn't watch Part 2 as it does contain spoilers ect.

Lost: Season 6
The Candidate was a great episode, and now things really seem to be stepping into the next gear and I'm so pumped for next week. Darlton said that they wanted to spend "a dozen" episodes having the smoke monster perform a long con, before pulling this out of the bag. The deaths didn't move me as much as they should have (mainly because I've seen other shows do death scenes for their characters a lot better) but I thought acting totally made that scene. I'm glad how for the most part the characters were finally together, I think the show is at its weakest when everyone is seperated. Although, to start a discussion, I don't consider Lost to be the best television show ever. I think Battlestar Galactica, which is on a similar scope to Lost, is superior; it has richer and more complex characters and devlopment, a richer mythology and world, political intrigue and social commentary and has far more touching character moments. Six Feet Under, however trumps everything, it is a real showcase for writing, acting and directing. If you are stuck for TV shows after Lost ends and want to fill a void, I urge you to consider these. I'm not slighting Lost (it's my third favourite TV show) but thought it would be an interesting discussion to have while waiting for the next episode.

Lost: Season 6
Chris is right, the only time I can see Jack dying, if ever, is in the finale. So stoked for next week, people who've seen it are calling it a game changing episode :dance: it's took me by surprise that after this week, there are only two episodes left before the finale. So who do you think the centrics will be for the final few episodes? My guess is; The Candidate : Multi-Centric, similar to last episode, as everyone in the alt timeline begin to come together and realise "they don't belong there." I can see it leaning more towards Locke. : Maybe MiB centric? As the title reminds me of the line Flocke said to Sawyer in the Substitute. : I think we will get another Jack episode before the season is out, they have gotten all the other character's centrics out of the way, and as arguably he is the most important character, I can see him having the episode before the finale. : Clearly it will be multi-centric for the finale.

bjsc_twenty six :: Confirmation
Well no one can give you the answer if you are not sure about entering it because you don't like it enough: but if you are thinking whether you should enter it or not because it might get hated on for being "trashy pop" then remember there are probably just as many people who like it (me included :kink:) as hate it

New Caprica National Thread
~NEW CAPRICAN POST~ GIRLS' GENERATION WIN INTERNAL SELECTION! Pages 3&4&11&12 Tell Me Your Wish casts its spell over New Caprica After weeks of chaos, Government interference and protests, democracy won out as the Internal Selection committee announced that the winner of the first ever Internal Selection, and also the first first ever BJSC entry, is Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) - who were always predicted to win the televised Internal Selection heat after SHINee were knocked out during the early stages. 260 million votes were cast during the intital selection period although there were doubts that the eventual winner would even be chosen to represent New Caprica, because the Government lacked confidence in us. They disgustingly offered numerous (all English) alternatives for the committee to chose from behind our backs. The cabinet is dependent on the investment and revenue that would result from a BJSC win, which cash strapped New Caprica is in dire need of. And they didn't trust the public to make that decision, showing how slimy and desperate they are. However, early this morning the head of the committee, Taemin Palmer, announed that Girls Generation - Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) won by a landslide and will be flying out to Hendinia on the next available flight as the contest kicks off. This news will come as a relief to the country, as the song was truly the people's favourite. Public Backlash However, if it was wasn't for the protest of the public, and indeed us the New Caprican Post , this might not of happened and Goverment interference might have persuaded the Committee to ignore the result of the Internal Selection. After the news websites caught wind of this farce, the New Caprican Post made a petition that was singed by over 10 million people. Online websites were also set up to show their disdain, and Twitter was swamped with people's comments, bringing the website crashing down for an incredible 24 hours. It wasn't until an interview with the New Caprican Vogue, just after the Goverment's proposals leaked, that Taemin Palmer confirmed that it was always the plan for the winner of the Internal Selection to be chosen - and finally offered an unconvincing explanation: BJSC 27 And Beyond Despite the fact that we haven't even won yet, and the country could still make a loss out of entering this contest, the Goverment has singed a contract to extend our participation for another five years, with Taemin Plamer remaining as the Head of the Committee for the duration. This is despite calls for a whole new Internal Seletion Committee to be decided for by public elections. However, the Government apointed Taemin said it would be too "time consuming" although promised it will be looked into at a future date. Once again without an annoucement, and behind closed doors, the committee has already been tasked with choosing the nominations for the upcoming internal selection for BJSC 27. Rumours are strong that Taemin is already reaching out to Jonathon Groff, star of US hit show Glee, and Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore, to sign on the dotted line to possibly represent our great country in the next contest. Both are currently in New Caprica "for business purposes" according to their agents. However, the other potential nominees remain a tight lipped secret. All I can say is this: after the disaster that was made organising this internal selection; the bureaucracy of it all; the millions it cost the taxpayers - is it all really worth it? Scream 4 · 15th April 2011
I think Kevin and Wes have always planned to return with a trilogy (I remember it being strongly rumoured a couple of years back) - so I assume that they have stories planned out for the other two films as well. I would be a little dubious if they only planned to return for one film, and then only decided to make a 5th because the new one was a financial success. As far as I can tell, they all seem really passionate about where they are heading story and character wise over the course of not only this film, but the 5th and 6th ones as well which is a far cry from the endless Saw films: and because of this it seems to me, that money is not the primary focus, but I might be a bit naive here. Regardless, I think if the whole crew is back I can't see it being terrible, actually the oppositie (although I'm willing to eat my words if I'm wrong).

Scream 4 · 15th April 2011
I am just as happy that Kevin Williamson also agreed return to write the script and the three main actors all agreed to reprise their roles. I don't think a 4th one would work without the original team working on it. Aren't they all (studio included) contracted for another two films? I thought from the context of the interview that a 5th and 6th film would be made regardless of how Scream 4 does at the box office, or does it all depend on the numbers?
-
Scream 4 · 15th April 2011
I love it :wub: I'm so glad this is now happening, after years of stopping and starting. Scream is the only horror series where I genuinely love the characters, I can't wait to see Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette back together on screen again. I'm glad to see Wes Craven also shares this sentiment - he said in the interview the reason they haven't killed any of the main characters yet is because they have great chemistry together. So I doubt they will bump any of them off in Scream 4. Personally, I wouldn't want them to anyway because I think it could, especially if this is the start of a new trilogy, kill the dynamic. Maybe at the end of the 6th film, it would be a powerful way to end the series with all of them dying? I'm in the mood now to dig out my old Scream boxset, and have a marathon session :heart:
