Video seems to be getting plenty of play... number 60 on 7 day rolling chart... and thats only really with 4 and a half days of play counting! http://www.ukairplaychart.com/c/?export=&a...&length=100 Seems to have stalled slightly on radio airplay (still around 70), but its still sooo much betta than a week or 2 ago! http://www.ukairplaychart.com/c/?export=&a...&length=100 RoB will hopefully give it a boost for its first few days on sale... would love number 1, but i definitely think top 5 is likely at the moment :-)

no one is suggesting all of the youtube views are from the UK... but Collide hasnt really impacted much in US (per the radio info that ive seen anyway), so i cant see that too high a percentage will be from there... i think the main thing the youtube views has shown is that there is interest in this video... and that interest has surged at the right time, i.e. just before the release... obviously we dont have the full stats, but considering the number of views and the rate at which views have increased, (IMO) its hard to believe that Leonas video hasnt gathered more interest in the UK than Pixies did :-) i honestly think that week could go any way... its really hard to predict... the only prediction i would be confident about is that if leona doesnt go to number 1 she'll be branded a flop... she tends to get such a hard time from the 'chart analysts' out there! :-P

up to over 900,000 views now... hopefully interest in the video will help airplay too... up from 90 to 69 this week... if she has some promotion lined up for release week, maybe she still has a chance? :-)

Collide up to 79 on the uk airplay 7 day rolling chart thing... hopefully that means its starting to pick up quick quickly each day now :-) video coming soon, so hopefully that'll have an effect also... syco strategy may work this time? (or am i deluded? hehe)

I hope Will can hold up in the singles chart... would be great to see him top 10 again... but he has a very different fan base to katy... so the album release may affect his singles performance much more... katy seems to have a better casual buyer audience, so she seems to be able to sell alot of singles, and a 'comparatively' lower number of albums (i know her album has sold well, but not proportionately considering the hit singles IMO) :-) having said that, perhaps jealousy really is appealing to a wider audience than his core fan base?!?!

Surprised at how well Will is doing... I think his team had assumed that he was now a real 'album act' and wouldnt necessarily have a decent singles chart run again... may have been mistaken!?!? but with the album released tomorrow i wont hold my breathe that jealousy will hold up! Still, a very good sign that there is alot of interest in Will... hopefully number 1 album will be in the bag!?!? :-)

Or, in the case of leona, maybe she wants to experiment to show she's more than a ballad singer... seems that she's damned either way... do ballads and she's a boring one trick pony... try something different and she's jumping on the dance / club bandwagon... i guess thats what comes after huge success... sadly, she'd stand more of a chance if she was coming back after a major flop (and i mean major, not echo! lol) thats the only time i think the general public will give her a break! Having said all that, she still gets a reaction, and people talking about her (even negatively) at least keeps her relevant/known :-)

Used again on So You Think You Can Dance... at number 107 on US iTunes at the moment :-) gives us a bit of hope that Leona can still reach a US audience with the right promo :-)

OMG... ya think if it was Leona's responsibility to check up on her management and label she'd even have time to record anything? I'm sure Leona is a big enough artist (and business) for there to be far too much going on to take all responsibility... she's a singer / songwriter / performer... not a lawyer, manager, accountant, producer etc :-)

Only listened a couple of times... has a bit of a beyonce 'work it out' / christina 'back to basics' sound... nice to hear how good her voice still is on different styles... considering the new album is gonna be eclectic, thats always a good sign :-)

I think the 2million for pixie lott is views of the actual video tho? i think once leonas video premieres the views will shoot up :-) Still got a good feelin about collide... even with the whole avicii drama i think she may still do it :-)

meh.... outta my head was good... especially when included on her second album, when people were sooo sure she couldn't do anything but ballads... but it would not have necessarily been a big hit in the real world / outside the UK... (i personally think that 'scene of the crime' is waaaay betta) To me Collide has a much more worldwide appeal... IMO its such a catchy summer song... syco may still make a mess of the release and she may not get the big comeback she deserves, but i honestly think this is the best song she could have come back with... ... she has finally broken the 'ballad singer' label... and when people (undoubtably) suggest that this is a ballad with a beat, i hope she can release a video that showcases a fun side, and finally proves that leona can compete with the (IMO) less talented singers out there, who have worldwide followings (gaga / rihanna / katy / adele) etc ... ... i remember hearing bleeding love on radio one for the first time and thinking that an eighties throwback would never be a hit... but that song grew on me within a few days, just like this song... i really think that unless there is a huge 'anti-cowell' backlash, and a sudden "avicii - fade into darkness' release" "coincidently" on the same day, this will be a big number 1 single! :-) Hope so anyway :-) xxx

It is a matter of opinion, but Karma is clearly of the 'opinion' that some may have judged too quickly... as long as we're just giving opinions all is good right? the only posts that annoy me are the ones that state opinions as fact (but that's just my opinion ;) )

barring any 'plagiarism' issues, i think demand for leona will mean her release will be moved forward, to be honest, especially if the rumours of the video being shot are true... hope so anyway... i really dont think radio is gonna take long to pick up on this, so they can probably pick a betta (quieter) week to release, in august, its not like they're waiting for an xfactor performance! :-)

Loving this song... has taken a few listens, but its really good... number 1 for sure (well, not for sure, but with the right promo i think this can pull in casual track buyers as well as hard core fans)... the whole 'plagiarism' thing is a bit fishy to me... PR stunt? but not sure which side is playing? Ministry or Syco? either way, i cant believe that leona, autumn or sandy vee believed there was a problem... i think this is just one for the managers and lawyers to get involved in... reckon it'll be released and be a huge hit anyway :-) well done leona. gonna really enjoy hearing a club floor filler with a great vocal (for a change) x

Kinda agree with u actually, as i would like leona to be a success everywhere... but on a purely selfish basis, having leona on uk tv every week for a few months would be great :yahoo:

That would be amazing... haven't seen any of the US version, but sounds like its been a great platform for Christina... the judges seem to get plenty of time to perform as well as mentor the acts... could also help to keep the momentum goin with her new album! really hope this is true! i guess there is the possibility that loyalties to the x-factor / simon may come into any decision??? but then, maybe simon and the xfactor will have to offer her a reason not to take the job? (like a judges / mentor role... and some decent promo for her music / more than 2 singles!?!?! hehe)

Is leona still promoting in the US? after fallin back down the chart last week, happy is moving up again on itunes... up from 70's to 30's in last couple of days! happy is having a pretty strange run over there?!?!

Busy week too... sales woulda put it at at least #5-9 in most other recent weeks! :)
