I saw Laura last week in Edinburgh - she performed 3 songs - but she appeared to be a very nice person as she spoke to my partner.

I actually agree with Sting what he had said about x-factor.

I also think, Cheryl Cole would not have dreamed about being at Number 1 with her weak singing abilities. She was always the weakest in the band anyway.... She must have been absolutely chuffed to receive an offer from Simon.

I agree, however TOTP had real artists - I mean artists - no like Leona or Alexandra B - they're singers :D

I understand "You Are Not Alone" is a charity single etc... but it will spoil the image of the charts in the years to come. Even in 5 years, it will be an embarrassing number one, sort of Teletubbies smash :D It is a big shame that the public are so controlled by x-factor these days.

So what!? JLS will never be credible act - they will be soon forgotten anyway. I'm pretty sure their second album won't be as big as this one... Spice Girls used to sell out immediately, and does it mean anything these days? No-one is interested in them anymore.

Surely... but the album will be again full of boring ballads and no-songs like the boring "Spirit". Although it sold a lot, it will end up in Charity Shop quite soon since it's dull as peeling the potatoes.

I think it's wrong because due to the circumstances like these - reducing a price of a single - it's absolutely wrong! That doesn't really reflect on their popularity and showing how cheap they are! They are really desperate. Besides, if Leona doesn't go to number 1 this week - there's no way she will go to number 1 next week as "You Are Not Alone" is being released...

Oh hardly number 7 in USA. It got to lucky #50 on Hot 100. Wouldn't consider that a hit! Sorry

I am shocked. Although I don't think that song is nothing special. It flopped in the USA by the way.

:o Wow! I've found my own entries in here! I originally posted two charts - one from Oct / Nov 1990 and the other one from July 91. I was really surprised to find in my notebook Vogue, Patience and All I Want Is You in the 1990 chart. I used to write down the content of my VHS tapes that I had recorded from MTV Europe... I also found some weird ones... my frien, who is Finnish, had some random videos on his old VHS tapes and Michael Jackson's Another Part Of Me was at number one in 1988 :o:o:o
