She should release Marry the night as 5th then Hair...then she can have fun with the risky singles next year - Schiebe, Americano then Heavy metal lover. I love Bloody mary but it just wouldn't get played in the US...the last thing she needs is another religious controversy than will lead to more lazy madonna comparisons.

She's doing fine and she'll climb back up this week I would guess. The album market has been in the toilet in this country in the past few months and she's not the only person this has effected. The market this year has basically been the good = adele, gaga's first week...the bad = everything else. Her "only" selling 7,279 is more representative of the UK market as a whole than anything to do with the album. People need to stop re-writing history...gaga has NEVER been a huge week after week 100,000 of thousands seller...she's always been small and consistent apart from Nov/Dec time (which is always a higher sales time) and she's continued this with BTW.

I love this. Great lyrics...the best her voice has ever sounded too. Her pipes can divide opinion but she sounds great on this...she's really singing out. I hope she gets a hit...she's so ambitious and a hard worker. I know she found the way her last album was handled torture. The guy is fit too!

I preferred that Misery song they had. That was much catchier but it underperformed. MLJ has the voice effect which has led into it being a hit in the states though and getting a proper WW push.

Gaga writes or co writes and co produces all her material. Redone and Fernando Garibay have said she is involved in everything. She's well known in the industry for it. Fernando actually said she was over generous with credits on the BTW album because the whole record is basically her melodies and lyrics.

I just have requirements I have for popstars. I like to work hard so I like artists to work hard too! They are in a very lucky position. great songs, Great artwork, videos, extensive tours, great promo work work work. 2 weeks summer holiday and 2 weeks for christmas. Work Work Work the rest of the time. I hate lazy popstars like Cheryl Cole and I was SOOO annoyed with Kylie when she was wandering around zoos just after her album came out. You can't stop in the download age...you have to be visible all the time. I am a gaga fan though I am spoiled....but MJ and Madonna both worked hard like she does and look what they achieved. It gets you places.

A music video's not something "extra". It's standard. It has been for the past 30 years.

She's done nothing since the spring apart from the itunes festival and then her tour re starting.

I'm not even a Cher fan but I didn't like the way Reggie spoke to her in that interview. It was like he was taking the piss. I hate it when interviewers do that (Gaga gets it a lot but she's smart enough to rise above it). It's really unprofessional.

It's here and there with Adele period. So many of the markets in which she is huge is she hasn't even bothered to promote or tour in. She owe's her fans all over the world a lot.

I actually remember someone saying in one of the forums this was the reason why there was no video honestly! She's had time! She recovered from her illness ages ago.

I thought the excuse was "Adele" is not a "video artist" because she's so "real" and "authetic" and everything. She's succeeded in making the media basically (in implied terms) refer to artists that dare to dress up/ perform with showmanship or make something of themselves as "whores" and anyone that tries really hard or has ambition as "desperate"...I thought turning people off music videos (one of my favourite mediums) would be next on her list.

Yeah but Adele's success is rare in the industry and she's very LUCKY. If you want to look down on gaga because of the way she's got to the top...then you are looking down on a lot of artists who have used the media in very similar ways. Comparing gaga and Adele is like comparing apples and oranges. Gaga last tour grossed $227m dollars aswell...she performed live every night all over the world. I don't see fashion runway shows making that much money. Gaga is a great live performer.

Really? The reason she's had so many ups and downs is because she's not particularly tenacious...I can't see her pushing someone if they got in her way like Madonna or gaga would. The woman is still with the same management that have effed up her last three album campaigns! Her work ethic has served her well though...that's why she's had a long career.
