Mel B doing US TV rounds today for AGT is good timing for this, the stamps got shown and Mel talked about them.

Mel B has been on US TV saying they will be 'releasing some good news' in a matter of weeks when talking about a reunion. It felt like she was going to say releasing something then quickly covered herself by saying good news. Either way I'm sure we are on for March 4th being a big day in some way.

I've just listed the 3 items sold out in the post above. The two framed items and the envelope. You cant pre-order them anymore just be notified when back in stock. You also cant tell if anything is close to selling out as it only lets you order max 3 of anything.

Yeah thinking about it that would be the most logical date to announce it. Especially with the Christmas merch in Dec and Stamps in Jan. Fingers crossed the vinyl happens I think of all solo albums a Free Me vinyl would sell best. It has a bit of a cult fanbase beyond just Emma fans.

This is defo merch worth buying. Stamps generally only rise in value. Might take a few years but these will be those sort after items that pop up on ebay for a fortune, especially any if the limited edition pieces.

The images were picked to do the best to show a spread of years but also only 5 piece. I don't think the girls picked their own images just ok'd what was chosen. It was done so you had, 97, 98, 07, 08 and 2012 covered as well as Istanbul, Wembley (though most wont realise that means arena when they were 5 piece of Emma) Brits, US ROTSG, Ireland and Olympics.

When Universal aren't in charge quality control goes up so much. The products look great and great quality. The first social media post to launch was cute and the behind the scenes video too. Imagine if everything was handled this well. I just hope the stamps sell well as they deserve to. Oh the website has updated with the stamps launch as news too.

Ordered a few pieces, nothing too expensive. This is exactly, like with the Lego, the sort of merch and collab they should be doing. This has been all over the news today. Only makes them seem more iconic and legends.

Yeah I think it is more that their team want this year to seem massive as that will sell the documentary and hopefully tour. Nothing like having them on stamps, music used in lots of things to wet people's appetite and also show how iconic they are.

All I had heard was it would get a vinyl release for its 20th anniversary but that could be announced on its anniversary now I think about it rather than before. I hope it happens and Emma/her team know it is what fans want.

Yep there will be lots of extra things not just the stamps. I wont go mad, a set of the 10 stamps in a nice booklet, mini set of 4 stamps and hopefully a postcard and envelopes.

The Royal Mail Stamps are supposed to be announced tomorrow from what I heard.

Really wow, I swear it was one of the 'Pop activism' things but then 2 and 5 years are just all the same these days when you get to my age.

Am I wrong in thinking OOYM was added to Spotify after 8th May 2020 (I seem to feel it was in the last 2 years) so might be doing more yearly.

I think we often over look just how big Wannabe is, it is the 3rd biggest streamed 90s song on Spotify by UK artists behind Oasis Wonderwall and Radiohead Creep. In terms of 90s UK music, UK and WW girl groups it is about as big as you can get. Work from home by Fifth Harmony has more streams than Wannabe but Wannabe out streams it daily now by about 250k streams. It is an absolute monster of a song.

I think Ladybaby has killed the 'specialness' of being Christmas number 1. Having 5 in a row and them all being pretty awful I think has put people off listening to those Christmas number 1 playlist or the TV music channels playing Christmas number 1 count downs as much.

Which is why the GH has big streaming sales too.

Licensing is probably where they make the big money, Barbie, Doctor Who, NYE London fireworks, WDYTYA was on an advert for the BBC over xmas as was the instrumental for Christmas Wrapping.

Things that stand out to me - Step to me actually does well, they should use it and push it more. Christmas Wrapping is a monster to make their top 10 two years in a row. They really should be running with it, 7 inch vinyl, lyric video. SUYL have a very good year. Some of the album tracks are disappointing, but then they never use or promote them. Same 51 songs as last year sigh. 360m streams is pretty amazing when you think they give fans/the public absolutely nothing new to entice them to go to their page and stream.

Thanks for the update. They would be mad not to at least update Spice cert in the US when it hits 10m copies as that is Diamond and a huge thing in the US. Especially if the Documentary and possible tour makes it happen sooner than expected. Do we have a GH update too?

What will be interesting will be to see the impact the songs that got added to the 'This is' playlist when it updated. Will make this year much more interesting as some of the songs on it are a bit random. Also just how well SUYL has done this year compared to last year. I suspect in a few years it will overtake 2 become 1 in the UK to be their 2nd biggest seller.
