Houdini isn't just doing poorly when compared to her other singles but the hype/exposure it is getting too. It has been absolutely hammered by radio, it was the only song that held up next to the Christmas songs on radio and I'm sure is already back to #1. It has gotten big playlist support, the hype of Dua's name and physicals. It is underperforming, it doesn't mean Dua is over and it also doesn't make people 'HATERSSSSZZZ!' to point this out.

There was some payola for We found love on Spotify, it was very high up on NYE playlists. Bodes well she might actually be releasing something this year.

They have been super quick to update the 'Best Of' playlist. Christmas Wrapping removed, SUYL song number 1. Replacing the tagline of 'celebrating 25 years of Goodbye' with 'Spice up your 2024'. It does seem that this year the finger might actually be pulled out with it being a celebratory year and projects to come.

For a documentary 94-2024 makes more sense as they were active in 94-95 with footage and songs from that time. So you have 94-2000, 2007-2008, 2012, 2018-2019, 2024 active years.

Germany seems to love Wannabe, it always does well there. #25 on Deezer and was top 40 on Apple in Germany. Would be great to have some countries certs and sales updated for the 30th anniversary. The US ones are so out of date and the ones in Australia are so out of date.

SUYL was doing 120k after Doctor Who which is nearly double its average on Spotify. It was only doing 100k-ish iirc during Barbie.

Good to see SUYL was used in the fireworks display. It certainly had a big year in 2023 with Barbie and Doctor Who. I wonder if one day it will over take 2 become 1 to be their 2nd biggest seller in the UK. Also it is worth noting the social media pushing the 30 year narrative on theur New year post today. They have never really acknowledge 1994 as the start of the Spice Girls before but it will fit the narrative this year with the documentary and hopefully more.

Amazon has two charts, the one you can only see if you are an unlimited subscriber. The unlimited one has explicit songs in too I believe which aren't in the 'free' chart.

Christmas Wrapping and 2 Become 1 are included on the UK throwback Thursday playlist. Christmas Wrapping is #173 on the UK shazam chart. It is getting fairly consistent airplay on radio 2.

Spice Girls will have 10 stamps released by Royal Mail Jan 11th as part of their 'British Musical Giants' series. 5 individual pics and 5 group shots (only 5 piece pics). Not announce yet but defo coming. They will be available to buy in several different formats. Houdini really is a bit of a flop, only non Christmas song in the top 9 on radio and at number 1 and plenty of songs getting no such support holding up better on streaming.

I think the only hope for Goodbye is 2025. If they do Forever 25 then Goodbye can be used as a promo tool for it in December, especially if they use Holler/LLLTW to promote its release.

Very odd release in terms of all 9 vinyls at once. You are surely forcing most fans to choose 1 of each, where as if they were spread out I'm sure fans would get 3 of each.

I made it half way through that video. Tuneless song, a video that looks like a behind the scenes one from a Sunday newspaper magazine photoshoot.

I wasn't hopefull of anything exciting for Goodbye as they have no album to push from it like they did the Spiceworld singles and Spiceworld25. I had hoped the might use it as a chance to push Christmas Wrapping though.

I'm not entirely surprised she doesn't know it. It hasn't been till this last 2 years it has taken off. Sleigh Ride was the Christmas song that did better and was promoted more till recently. Christmas Wrapping is up to #4 on their popular list on Spotify.
