  1. So tell me why it is being deleted and not Spiceboys shitty comment? You should never be a mod with your bias
  2. Of course which is why these things all need taking with a pinch of salt.
  3. Lovely gesture but surely they can only do that as the Sheffield date has sold poorly and they were going to give free tickets away any way like they did last night.
  4. You just need to ask yourself how many childrens books are hardback. A Harry Potter cookbook is at number 5.
  5. You are right it just isn't a good song. She doesn't need to manage expectations or pretend she is a new artist (she is getting airplay and playlisting no brand new artist would get) she just needs better songs to take advantage of that airplay/playlisting. Which is why she is probably back in the studio either using her own money to find better songs or under instruction of the record label to record something better.
  6. I think people have read this wrong. I think her reaction was probably more when you realise you have given away part of your life and history (I'm talking about the clothes she sold off/auctioned) than any feeling towards the '98 tour. It must be hard to not want to take it back and say that is actually mine. I'm sure while these things are out of sight out of mind the regret is easy to ignore but when held in front of you a piece of your history someobe else owns must be a very odd feeling. I'm sure deep down she wishes she had the union jack dress now too. She is never shy to talk about it and I bet she wishes she had it framed proudly at home.
  7. Yay for Spice but yeah to be the only British female album in the top 40 most streamed from the 90s is a bit sad. I guess it shows two things, they really did smash a glass ceiling and that actually for their demographic (female, British and 90s) they are pretty much a streaming powerhouse.
  8. That sounds so good, very 1st album vibes but very laid back and breezey.
  9. Has anyone actually read it? I haven't seen a single review on Spice Circle. Mel C's autobiography loads of people were giving opinions on it.
  10. I don't see the DJing as anything mord than quick cash tbh. She was DJing a work confrence the other day, the pics were on Spice Circle of it and it was embarrassing. Everyone was ignoring her and weren't even looking at her.
  11. Eyes closed has been a huge hit this year. It always amazes me people act dumb on here when it comes to Ed. Everyone knows multiple hits are what sell an album and keep an albun afloat these days with the streaming rules (and why the chart is full of GH and old albums that have loads of hits on). They also know Ed has released 1 proper single this year and two albums. Of course his streaming is down and album sales/longevity is too. If Ed wanted a big album, with a long chart run he would release multiple singles before it and do a big album campaign. Not release an album without a single on his own label with a few weeks pre-orders.
  12. I'm not surprised Id say Geri as a person these days is hugely off putting and I would imagine her promo is doing more harm than good. She also has lost a lot of the gay fans over the hugging Liz Truss and Nadine Dorries pics. It is amazing how often that is brought up on twitter or she is called Tory Spice. I think that might be the single most damaging thing any Spice girl has ever done to her own image as it was directly her target fanbase that it offended.
  13. I would guess it is a money thing. She evidently ploughed loads of cash into Melanie C, loads of music videos that had a bigger budget, lots of formats, remixes. The extra cash both was evident but also paid off for a chart placement and better overall product and era. I don't see her going back to two formats, 2 cheap videos and an album charting at #23 again. Though I also see her travelling all the way to Australia for cheques for DJ gigs so I don't think she is in the position post SW19 she was in when she released Melanie C when she just had taken a huge cheque.
  14. That is the problem for both of them though, they both know the money and only real worthwhile reunion is a tour or massive performance and it is where both are weakest. Victoria will say ex Spice Girl but she put money into the musical, agreed to be in the documentary for it, signs off on her pics being used for merch and tshirts. She just doesn't want the scrutiny of performances but I think she actually misses it.
  15. Weren't you the one saying Geri wasn't the one holding up a reunion?
  16. We are at the point of them recycling solo stuff now, two different NS vinyls, My happy place vinyl, new edition of Brutally Honest, even Geri's doing kids books again and recycling a leaked song from years ago for it. I'm not going to say they are creatively bankrupt but man they are verging on it.
  17. I absolutely wouldn't mind it being the 4 of Mel, Emma, Mel and Vic. I honestly think that 4 would kill a tour and Glasto.
  18. Not heard anything but next year would make sense for its anniversary. They might have sorted her streaming issues and are holding back to make it available WW on all streaming platforms to coincide with it. I'll ask see if I can find anything out. She could easily make a big deal of it, Vinyl, Cassette, deluxe version, on all streaming platforms and a small tour. The 'Free Me Tour' would surely be a big draw for a lot of fans.
  19. When you think about her 1st week in 2019 for My happy place she actually did very well. Store exclusive only vinyl, deluxe cd with no extra tracks just a hardback book with extra pics. The cassettes I assume were store exclusives too don't think they were sold anywhere else. No ties in with gigs to shift extra copies, no digital extra tracks to boost downloads. Still sold over 6.5k, just picked an awful week to release. There could easily be 3 vinyls 2 widely available and an exclusive one to HMV or Amazon, 2 cassettes, cd, deluxe cd with extra tracks, store exclusive £4.99 download with extra tracks. Tbh no reason she couldn't do similar numbers to Claire from Steps.
  20. They have all achieved things in their solo careers, Geri was successful out the gate. It is just with all of them now that 'success' is so minor or short lived it just isn't fun anymore to me as a consumer. Most projects or releases are pretty much dead after the first week these days.
  21. I'll see if this ends up on Amazon as I hate ordering off HMV. Still get those extra sales Bunton. Would love a My happy place sales update after the vinyl release.
  22. Wannabe picture disc back down to £6.53 on Amazon if anyone still hasn't got a copy. Will be back full price before long as they always do this. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wannabe-25th-Anniv...C543&sr=8-8 Wonder how many copies it has sold in the UK now.
  23. She is trust me. If you don't believe me these are her own words in her latest interview - When asked about a Spice Girls reunion tour or documentary "At some point, 100% there will be something. When I do something, I like to keep it 100% focused. It's like being a mother, so right now I'm dealing with one child - that is Rosie. She deserves that attention" It is why an announcement was imminent in Feb and now might not even be until next year. Geri has decided nothing will happen until she is done with her book. It is why Victoria was so pro Spice Girls earlier this year, almost daily refrences and now silence. It is why Mel B briefly unfollowed Geri on instant last month before people caught on and she re-followed her. It is why Mel B keeps saying Victoria is on board because the hold up isn't Victoria.
  24. This is very rose tinted glasses. Warner are a music label not a charity, budgets will be getting slashed as we speak. Of course they were chasing a hit you don't release 3 cd singles if you are just letting a song do its thing. There will always be a clause in a contract too that means if the artist is under performing then the label can get out of it and 'drop' them. Right now I'd say single number 3 will be make or break, one more under performing single and I highly doubt they will invest in the costs of releasing an album. Even Leigh doesn't sound totally confident that an albun will defo be released.
  25. Geri would be fine touring again, as Mr X says it is only noticable she is stiff because we can all look far too closely at fans footage now. Geri seems much worse in the fan footage on Youtube than live in person on my night as you cant see every little detail. Geri's issue is she still thinks she is going to be A-list and at the top of something solo wise and it just wont happen but she will put everything on hold and delay a reunion in hope it will. She was baking every day of every minute when she thought there was a chance of being the next Nigella or Mary Berry, or course it never happened so that was shafted. Then she put the band on hold when she thought she was going to be a massive Youtube star with Rainbow Woman (I still don't get that name). She copyrighted the name for books, music and so on and gave up caring half way through when it is clear she wasn't going to be a big Youtube star. Now she is convinced she can be a big name author and Spice Girls are on hold as she delusionally goes about it. It wont end in being a movie, the book will be yesterdays news a couple of weeks after release. Mark my words by Jan Geri will be pushing for Spice Girls again when she is lost with nothing to feed her ego that she will be massive on her own again. The other 3 are happy that their solo careers make some money keep them busy but absolutely know non of it will ever be big anymore. It can be picked up and dropped whenever because those solo careers are what they are.
